This is an oldie but goodie.... when I lived in the area this used to be the place to go on a hot day. They have shave ice w/ ice cream option and also offer other cool treats like teas and fruity drinks with Boba, frozen yogurt w/ fruit. Their frozen yogurt is delish. The Boba tastes fresh, but their main attraction is the shave ice. It's delicious and cheap. The only drawback you this place is that there is very limited parking and on a hot day that is a problem. Since this place is on the corner of a busy street, it's difficult to get street parking. The line inside the place is long on a hot day as well but worth the wait. read more

This may look like a flower shop from the outside but this speakeasy is hiding a delectable treat that is so cheap and so delicious that I had to come on yelp and rave about it! This is still hands down my favorite shave ice spot in California. Unfortunately, I live almost an hour+ away from here. I have been to many knock off wanna-be Hawaii shave ice stops and this is still definitely number one. Their ice melts in your mouth the way it should. They use the perfect amount of syrup where you get the flavor in every single bite. And let me tell you, they have TONS of flavors. this location does two things: Flower arrangments and drinks. I will ignor the fact that I am pretty sure that the person making my drink is a new employee, and I will come out and say that the drink that I had that day (caramel frapp with Boba) was HORRIBLE! -no caramel. -barley blended and it looked like a cup of ice and COCONUT JUICE. The have a ton of flavors and great prices. The ice could be shaved finer and the service could be more consistent. Sometimes they're a little stingy on the syrup and you end up sucking on flavorless ice. Who doesn't love shaved ice on a hot summer day? Well, be prepared to stand in a long line of its warm out. Today's visit was on a semi cloudy last day of May, so there was no line. Been coming here for years. Drive out of my way to bring my kids. Last few times it's been it's been very dirty in there. Went today and they said they weren't selling the milk tea drinks but as we were walking out other customers were drinking drinks at their tables. This is my first time here and first impressions do count! I walked in with the aroma of fresh flowers and tea! It's beautiful and clean when I walked in. I came for a snow cone with ice cream and these are prices you can't beat. $2.50 for a Large Snow cone with vanilla ice cream! Not only is it aesthetically pleasing it taste good too! "Scotty's where did it go wrong?" We've been coming here for a couple of years now. My daughter loves Shaved Ice (as do I), and this place has always been a hit. Up until the last 2 or 3 times we came (or not came here). I'm not sure if they're getting lazy and just don't want to bring out the block ice, but this place is nothing without the Fine Ice style Shaved Ice. The last 3 times we came here it "wasn't available" according to them. One time they said the ice need to melt down some before they can use it (say what?). Another time they said the machine was down, ok very possible. But this last time we went they didn't say anything and when I ordered and specifically said we want fine ice they didn't say it wasn't available. To our surprise when we got our Shaved Ice it wasn't fine ice, it was with the other machine that uses Cubed Ice (which is not good at all). After bringing it up to the gentleman he said once again "It's not available at this time". After sitting there eating the Shaved Ice it wasn't good. It was hard and not easy to eat as is the Fine Ice style. Not only that but they sure shorted us on the flavoring. It could have used more. They may have also changed brands of the flavorings because they weren't as good as before. No more cutting corners, let's get it right Scotty's. We are/we're loyal customers, now we're just disappointed customers. Until they get their act together we won't be returning. There's a lot of good Shaved Ice places popping up these days, so we can take our business there until things change here. Sorry Scotty's. I was introduced to this place by my lovely friend who is also obsessed. We drive 10 miles just to get our fix! We always get the shaved ice with a scoop of ice cream...correction, with an extra scoop of ice cream cause it's sooo good! So far I've only tried the red rasberry and blue rasberry flavors. The red rasberry is delicious, the blue one just didn't do it for me. Everything is reasonably priced so it's never really a pain to drive so far for something so delicious. read more

I have read (and seen) the popularity of this place on social media, especially on Instagram, so of course, I had to check it out. I have been living in the area for over 15 years and I have passed by Scotty's so many times that I think it was much overdue for my visit. At first, when I walked in I thought the place looked a little run down, it didn't have the flower shop aesthetic. For lack of a better word, the place looks a bit shabby, it could use a touch up of paint, a good cleaning and a touch of new decorations (that is just my opinion). I agree with another review on here, it is extremely random to have a shaved iced counter next to a flower counter, but hey - its unique so I dig it. Since it was my first time ordering, the young girl at the counter was super sweet and patient, explaining what the popular item is and guiding me how to order. There are so many flavors and combinations to choose from (I love it!) and I decided, for myself, a small ice, with Pina Colada and Banana, with condensed milk on top. It was heavenly and the portion was generous. I ordered two additional items for a total of $8.00ish. I thought it was fairly price, not too much and not too little, just right. I look forward to coming back and ordering the same thing, I am a FAN! read more

this used to be one of my favorite places to go for a sweet cold treat when i was a young girl and would come with my family. its been a couple of years since ive been here and i brought my boyfriend for his first time. the owner was so so nice to the both of us and my boyfriend was blown away by the amount of flavors they offer for the shaved ice and all of the other boba/drink options available. they had his favorite flavor as well, which is very hard to find (boysenberry) and we both cant wait to come back and try new things! i also loved how clean it was and how fresh the flowers smelled. 10/10 read more

My son was there earlier today for shaved ice...yes, on this rainy day! The shaved ice is good but we also get vanilla ice cream underneath the shaved ice. My son ordered it this way and was told by the man at the counter (who I believe is the owner) that there wasn't any. So my son ordered his shaved ice without the vanilla ice cream and sat and ate it there. As time went on, not one but TWO customers came in and the young lady now at the front counter gladly opened a NEW tub of vanilla ice cream for those two separate customers. Why was my son told there wasn't any when obviously there was?? Was it his age? Was it that it's a rainy day and not worth opening it for him? Very upsetting!! read more

Really wanted to try this place when we showed up it was closed. Their sign said open and their are no posted hours of operation there were people inside but didn't acknowledge us about 3 other customers showed up as well we had to tell them it was closed.
