    Strawberry matcha

I feel bad for writing this review but I was underwhelmed with the matcha that we ordered. I don't think this is fair because we are from LA and the quality of the matcha that we have out there is very difficult to beat. However, I didn't like how a lot of the matcha that they have seemed premade already. You can see it mixing in the machine to keep it "fresh" or "prepared". The service that we experienced was absolutely amazing, everyone was so nice and they said that the matcha was a fan favorite. I'm sure other things on the menu were much better than what we ordered, so if I'm in the area I'd love to give this place another try. If you're looking to study, or looking for a place to just sit relax and talk with people the inside of the cafe was beautifully done.

I stopped into Scout Coffee while in Morro Bay and really enjoyed this spot. I love how they repurposed the old bank and kept the original vault. It gives the coffee shop a unique feel and adds so much character to the space. I had the pain au chocolat, which was yummy with a nice dark chocolate flavor. For coffee, I ordered a latte with their house-made Raw Sugar and Whiskey syrup. The coffee was smooth, and the latte was just sweet enough without the syrup overpowering the coffee. Great coffee, a yummy pastry, and a unique space. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Morro Bay.

I kept seeing this coffee shop all over social media as one of the best coffee spots in SLO County, so I knew I had to check it out for myself. When I walked in, I was impressed by how open and spacious the café felt. There was plenty of seating, making it a great place to relax or get some work done. What immediately caught my attention, though, was the pastry case since I'm a huge fan of pastries. I ended up ordering a cappuccino and a chocolate croissant. The cappuccino was okay, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The espresso tasted fairly light, and I personally prefer a stronger, more complex espresso flavor. Overall, the drink leaned a bit too milky for my taste. The chocolate croissant was also just average. I was a little disappointed when I overheard that pastries could be warmed up upon request. I imagine it would have tasted much better warm. It would be helpful if staff mentioned this option when customers order in-store, especially for first-time visitors. Otherwise, how would new customers know? Overall, the service was friendly, and the coffee shop has a beautiful modern atmosphere. While the ambiance stands out, I found the coffee and pastries to be just okay. If you visit, I'd definitely recommend asking to have your pastry warmed up, it may make a big difference in the experience.

Popped in for a quick drink! There was a huge line yet I still managed to get my order under 10 minutes which was nice! The building is huge with lots of seating indoor and outside. They also have plenty of little trinkets for sale. Staff were kind and welcoming! Croissant was delicious, chia pudding was so good and the coffee was ok it was on the sweeter side, so i will be adjusting my coffee order next time im in!

Such a beautiful, bright space with friendly service and amazing coffee and food! My sister and I went on a Sunday morning and it was super busy. Many of the inside tables were taken and the outdoor patio was filling up as well. My sister grabbed a turkey and Gruyère sandwich from the cold case and had it heated up. I opted for the savory danish with leeks and potato. Both dishes were delicious. The Turkey sandwich was heart and more than enough to share. My danish was flaky and the leek and potato filling was so rich and tasty. We also shared a berry crumble. For coffee I got the vanilla bean latte. It was so smooth and delicious. I can't wait to return!

absolute beauty of a coffee shop plus we had to charge our tesla there. Bathrooms clean, plenty of places to sit and enjoy. Now for coffee our lattes were way too milky for our taste and the lady did not ask if we wanted it hot or iced. She automatically assumed hot and because it was busy we were unable to get it switched. We didn't like our drinks and will walk to another shop next time we have to charge

I really loved the vibe of this coffeehouse! It's bright, welcoming, and incredibly cute--perfect for meeting up with friends, studying, reading a book and relaxing, or even doing a little shopping. The whole place has a great energy, and I was feeling it! The vanilla bean latte was delicious, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet. A great spot to hang out and enjoy a good cup of coffee.

interior is massive with lots of merch, local vendor items, cookbooks, candles, etc for sale. plenty of seating options and natural lighting. restrooms are gorgeous and spacious. staff are super sweet and friendly! my drink was okay, the doug fir flavor wasn't noticable (wilderness). but my friend's jasmine latte (I think sunshine?) had an amazing jasmine flavor that didn't overpower the coffee.

Another location that used to be a bank and turned into a coffee shop. This shop is huge and modern. They have plenty of seating inside and out. Also a cute little table with chairs for kids. My boys really enjoyed it. They have lots of options for drinks, food, and pastries. I choose an iced chai. The drink did take awhile but was worth the wait. The chai had a spiciness to it. I'm not sure what it was but I liked it. A cool coffee shop to relax at if you're in the area.

The coffee latte and chai latte are delicious at Scout Coffee. Every time we come here there is always a line. Just found out you can order ahead. Nice place to visit.

What to Get: You can't go wrong with any of their coffees/teas. I always go for anything seasonal. Their pastries are a delight as well Customer Service: Exceptional service, expectations exceeded. Unfortunately, my wife accidentally spilled my coffee all over the table, ground and me; I thought, "there goes me having some coffee," as I wasn't planning to pay for another coffee, but when we asked for help to clean the area, Caitlyn who was one of the barista there, cleaned up the situation we had along with making a new coffee like the one that spilled free of charge without us expecting her to offer the free coffee. I was so thankful that I still got to drink my coffee after all Price: Approximately $17.30, not including tip for 2 people Ambience: Indoor/Outdoor Seating. Large coffee shop to study, read and/or work at Overall: Best Experience

    - Groggy's Scallywag Coffee House…read more My girlfriend and I stopped at Groggy Scallywag Coffee House during a short trip to Morro Bay after she had noticed it on a previous visit. I'm glad we finally tried it. It's a small coffee shop right off Embarcadero with a simple setup. They have refrigerators with cold drinks, can make both hot and iced coffee, and also offer a small selection of pastries such as muffins, croissants, bagels, and cinnamon rolls. They also sell coffee to take home. There really isn't indoor seating, but that did not bother us at all. You're right by the coast, and there are tables outside in the breezeway along with areas near the dock where you can stand and enjoy your drink. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The menu is displayed on a TV screen near the entrance, which made ordering easy. I ordered a large iced Mexican mocha, and it was excellent. You could actually taste the spice in it rather than it just tasting like a regular mocha with a different name. I would absolutely order it again. One small thing that really stood out to me was their discount program. Near the register, they had a multicolored flag recognizing several groups including military, law enforcement, EMS, firefighters, dispatchers, and nurses. Before ringing us up, the employee pointed to it and asked whether any of those applied to us. I told her I was a nurse, and she immediately gave me 10% off. I thought that was a really nice touch. Discounts for military and first responders are common, but nurses are not always included, so I appreciated the recognition. Between the good coffee, friendly staff, convenient location, and thoughtful service, I really have nothing negative to say about this place. I would absolutely come back and would gladly try more of their drinks and pastries next time I'm in Morro Bay.

Of course Morro Bay is already a charming locale, and Aja fits in well. Her coffee is distinctive and her pastries are made with real butter not nasty seed oil. The person working there (owner?) Was hustling hard. She was working the register. Cleaning the tables. Handing out the food. Making the food and drinks in the back. She was a 1 woman wrecking crew. But still was able to get everyone's stuff out in a timely manner. Without sacrificing customer service. We ordered their chai latte and a black medium roast coffee. As well as a breakfast burrito and a rock harburrito. We forgot to tell her it was to go as we were trying to get back home before the LA traffic started. Imagine to my surprise when she came out with the food and it was to go!! The chai latte was really good. I loved it. And my wife really enjoyed it. Black coffee was good too. No frills. No fluff. But it kept me awake for the 4.5 hour drive home. So that works. The breakfast burrito was really good. My wife enjoyed hers. And mines was good too. Packaged really well. Ate it while driving so that really facilitated us getting home before the traffic. It was a very hearty burrito the rock harburrito. Gave us some green sauce to go with it. And it was just amazing. The inside is somewhat cramped with many tables and chairs. She also sells baked goods. And some random things. Like coffee mugs and other things. Nice signs all over the place as well as in the parking lot about the importance of coffee!! I really loved the hustle. And the food and drink was amazing. Not more you can ask for.
