Of course Morro Bay is already a charming locale, and Aja fits in well. Her coffee is distinctive and her pastries are made with real butter not nasty seed oil. I stepped aside to let her greet two young gentleman and she said, "It's okay, these are my sons." And what charming young men Matthew and Jeremiah are! The other coffee place we initially went to was out of service due to a power outage. He recommended we come here instead. It was pretty busy when we pulled up. The person working there (owner?) Was hustling hard. She was working the register. Cleaning the tables. Handing out the food. Making the food and drinks in the back. She was a 1 woman wrecking crew. But still was able to get everyone's stuff out in a timely manner. Without sacrificing customer service. We ordered their chai latte and a black medium roast coffee. As well as a breakfast burrito and a rock harburrito. We forgot to tell her it was to go as we were trying to get back home before the LA traffic started. Imagine to my surprise when she came out with the food and it was to go!! The chai latte was really good. I loved it. And my wife really enjoyed it. Black coffee was good too. No frills. No fluff. But it kept me awake for the 4.5 hour drive home. So that works. The breakfast burrito was really good. My wife enjoyed hers. And mines was good too. Packaged really well. Ate it while driving so that really facilitated us getting home before the traffic. It was a very hearty burrito the rock harburrito. Gave us some green sauce to go with it. And it was just amazing. The inside is somewhat cramped with many tables and chairs. She also sells baked goods. And some random things. Like coffee mugs and other things. Nice signs all over the place as well as in the parking lot about the importance of coffee!! I really loved the hustle. And the food and drink was amazing. Not more you can ask for. read more

Very nice coffee shop but need to work a little to find it. Up the hill and almost to the freeway, this little coffee shop is a really nice place to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy each other's company. The coffee is good the staff are super nice and the shop is cozy. read more

It was a deluge this morning. Finding a coffee shop that was open, had indoor seating, had wifi, and had good pastries was surprisingly hard to achieve this morning. Oh, yes, there were lots of dark clouds and surprisingly water cloudbursts during this search. Morro Bay Coffee Co. was an oasis in a (literal) storm for us. They have several cozy small nooks for people to park and relax while having the warm selection of tasty beverages. A couple of Americano cups and a peach and an apple turnover later, we're happily enjoying the coffee while checking for weather forecasts on the road. (travel day for us). Checking messages when you're away for the holidays is a necessary thing. Thank goodness that Morro Bay Coffee Co. was open and ready to serve warm, delicious coffee for us today. Thank you! Morro Bay Coffee is a gem!!! We were cleaning out our nearby storage unit and had the pleasure of ordering from Morro Bay Coffee several times on our long day of work. We are so glad we did! We started with incredible, freshly made breakfast burritos and steaming hot coffee. We came back a few hours later for delicious pastries and more coffee. Our last stop in was for fabulous sandwiches and fresh cookies. Each time we came in we got a friendly greeting and our orders were promptly filled. The place is small, but has comfy tables and chairs and a clean bathroom. Honestly, our day would have been much harder had we not found this great restaurant. What a nice surprise! We found this sweet little spot just a 5 minute walk from our air bnb. Quiet, neat as a pin, with a huge variety of coffee and tea. We tried breakfast foods and were super impressed!! We had the avocado toast, a Hangover on a croissant, the Hard Rock burrito, a blueberry muffin, a blueberry-raspberry scone, and the Everything grilled. We all wound up trading bites and enjoying bites of it all. We would recommend the Butterfly Pea Lemonade, a Chai tea, and a tea latte. All super outstanding and well done! Very cute coffee shop in Morro Bay. Stopped in with my roommate when we were headed out for the remainder of our road trip. They have funny parking lot signs outside. I got an iced mocha and a cream cheese pastry. The offer a bunch of different handcrafted coffee drinks and fresh baked goods. Super bummed. This used to be a place I frequented regularly. I loved the charm and coziness of it and was excited to return. I was incredibly surprised to find a completely different interior. The feeling gives off cheap beach vibes with terrible decor. We tried to sit at the tables and couldn't. Your knees hit a bar under the table top and it's impossible to fit under, unless you're a child or petite. My boyfriend and I are neither. So we opted for a seat outside. The service was ok, definitely not friendly but not rude. The coffee was just ok as well. Nothing to write home about. The coffee cake was very dry and not very good. We ended up throwing over half of it away and opted to go to another coffee shop up the road. read more
