    Breaky Bagel
    Tyler S.

The krava bowl was a solid açaí bowl. The proportion of fruit to açaí mix to granola was spot on, where I was able to have some of each in each bite. And my mom enjoyed the breaky bagel. She said it was toasted to perfection, had a generous serving of avocado, and was very flavorful. You ordered at the counter and they call your name to pick up your food. The seating is all outdoors.

We stopped at High tide for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was delicious. It wasn't too busy so it was nice to sit in the outside eating area. Really cute cafe with a ton of options for food, bowls, and smoothies. The pro bowl was really good however I usually prefer a stronger acai flavor. This was more of that PB strawberry banana taste which is still delicious. My banana topping was also pretty mushy so I skipped that. Otherwise a really great spot! Would definitely return.

We told our hotel person that we were going to Gilligan's to get a sandwich and she said "You can do better. Go to High Tide." Great suggestion. I had a 1/2 Beach Club on Jalapeño Cheddar. It was excellent. Despite getting in line behind a 25 member water polo team, our sandwiches came out pretty fast. Definitely will go back.

Always great! The Kravo açaí bowl is so good! Love the vibe. And friendly staff. Outdoor seating. Gift shop too. The best in town for a healthy quick bite.

    Summer bowl smoothie version

I had a craving for an açaí bowl or fruit smoothie. I found this place near my air bnb and decided to give it a try. Pros: parking wasn't an issue. You order inside and you pick up from a window that's outside. They were quick in making the smoothie and allowed me to turn their seasonal açaí bowl into a smoothie version. Staff were friendly and answered all my questions. I will have to come back to try the açaí bowls here. Cons: none

This place is absolutely one of a kind. I've been to so many places recently that pander to a specific crowd, and they've all just become cookie-cutter replicas of each other. High tides, however, stands apart. The acai bowls are made with the highest quality ingredients, like delicious goji berries and bee pollen. The building itself opens up to showcase an array of different products for sale, from coffee roasted from Spearhead Coffee in Paso Robles to surfboards to jewelry handcrafted by local artists. And it's totally dog friendly, which is just icing on the proverbial cake!

Super cute, quick food on the go. They had a bunch of tables outside and there happened to be a car show happening at the time. I was traveling for work and made a pit stop here. The sandwich was great and the smoothies were even better. Highly recommend this cute little spot to just grab a quick lunch bite. They also had merch and other drinks for purchase inside. The menu is pretty straightforward and it's easy to just pick what you like and comes out fast. All in all great spot

Upcharged and more. High Tide is cute and with things to buy in addition to the food and nice outside seating and cool music. The menu adverts custom sandwiches for $16.95. Also, you can fill out a form for a made-to-order. I chose a made-to-order with turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. The bill was $18.95 + tax. I asked about this and was told there was an additional $1 charge for the cheese and $1 charge for the Turkey. Um...I order a turkey sandwich and there's an extra charge for the turkey.. huh? what?? Please look at the blank order form. Extra charges are indicated. If it's not indicated I assume it's included in the price. Anyway, I mutter about it being alot, but still put a dollar in the tip jar. So after a while the server puts the sandwich on the counter outside, calls my name and splits. The sandwich starts ok but seems like I'm eating bread and cheese at the end. It took me 3/4 of the way thru to check (sorry for the bite mark - gross!). Also, the custom sandwiches are $16.95 and the custom Turkey Pesto has both turkey and provolone included in that price (I assume, since it's advertised as such). Well me: old guy, cranky comment and 1 dollar tip vs. Up-sell and not a good sandwich. You be the judge.

    Cali's Best
    Regina C.

High Tide was a recommendation from a friend! He mentioned how the sandwiches were a little bit on the pricier side but the taste was awesome. I don't know if it was the sandwich I got but the taste was lacking. I feel like it needed some sauce like chipotle sauce maybe? I got the Cali's Best. Maybe next time, I'll try to make my own sandwich and see how that would taste!

Kravabowl 32 oz. Too big lol. I recommend the smaller sizes.

Unfortunately, their sandwiches are about the same - at least the one I try. I ordered a turkey on a roll with lettuce, cheese, and mayo. The bread was still SO DRY that I couldn't like the sandwich at all. I did order a small pizza and a hotdog. These are new to the menu since I was there last. After waiting an incredibly long amount of time to get my order, I was at least happy with the pizza and hot dog. Glad to have a hot dog option next to the theatre so I can sneak one in!! I ordered extra cheese on the pizza but I didn't need to. I am happy to upgrade my star rating to 3-stars for those two new items. I am picky about the bread for my sandwiches and honestly the only one I liked was when you had the sliced wheat bread option available one day as a fluke. I will go to Mr. Pickles for my sandwiches from now on, but I might stop in for a pizza or a dog.

Memorial Day weekend on the Central Coast is always a negotiation with chaos. Tourists flood the…read morebeaches, traffic crawls through Pismo, and every scenic overlook suddenly becomes a photoshoot for people who discovered the central coast three days ago. So my girlfriend and I did what locals do this afternoon: we tried to escape the madness and disappear into Los osos for a few hours. Not that there's any "sneaking into" High Street Deli. That line is eternal. It exists outside the laws of time and tourism. Rain or shine, weekday or holiday weekend, there will always be a crowd gathered outside chasing the same thing: the perfect sandwich on the perfect California afternoon. And honestly? They're right. Nothing beats a High Street sando on a sunny day. You grab a Dutch Punch and a cold Cali Squeeze and suddenly everything slows down. The sandwich arrives absurdly overstuffed with layers of turkey, extra bacon, jalapeño havarti, onion, tomato, avocado, chipotle mayo, Dutch crunch bread that's barely surviving the structural pressure holding the whole masterpiece together. It's messy in the way all truly great food is messy. No pretension. No carefully curated "elevated deli experience." Just pure Central Coast comfort engineered for people who spent the morning surfing, hiking Montana de Oro, or sitting in beach traffic questioning their life choices. And the Cali Squeeze? Citrus beer sweating in the afternoon heat while ocean air drifts through Los Osos. That's the high locals chase all summer long. What hurts is admitting publicly how good this place really is. Every local wants to protect High Street like a secret fishing spot. You want visitors to enjoy the coast, just maybe somewhere else first. But denying High Street its flowers would feel dishonest. Because this place is the heartbeat of the Central Coast in summertime. The patio fills with surfers, old locals in sun-faded hats, Cal Poly kids, dogs asleep under picnic tables, couples lingering over beers because nobody here is ever truly in a hurry. Somebody's talking about swell conditions. Somebody else is debating whether to head to Morro Bay after lunch. The smell of sandwiches, sunscreen, and salt air hangs over everything. It's not glamorous. It's better than glamorous. It's real. And somewhere between the first bite of a Dutch Punch and the first sip of a Cali Squeeze, you remember why people who grow up on the Central Coast never fully leave even when they move away. Because they spend the rest of their lives trying to recreate afternoons like this.

Problem...the stores have different items. I had chosen a sandwich that wasn't offered here. We filled out our order forms. I recreated that sandwich to the best of my ability. It had turkey and veggies and cranberry on Dutch crunch bread. We also ordered a Dutch Punch sandwich and a build your own chicken cutlet sandwich. We got two orders and fries, an order of onion rings and 3 fountain drinks. The food arrived at different times as the order was ready. All the food was good. The sandwiches were good sized with lots of filling. The fries were great. The onion rings were the star. They were light and crispy and we all loved them. Parking is not easy in this area. It took a few circles to find a spot. We got a table right away. There was a kitchen-like play area for the kids. That kept them busy while we waited 20-30 minutes for food. Cute shop. They had stickers and baked goods and gifty items. Woman at the counter was a little impatient with customers. One surprise was the total price. Three sandwiches, three drinks, two fries and an order of onion rings plus tip was almost $97. Never had such an expensive sandwich in my life!

I truly like this pulled chicken sandwich! The Fried Raviolis are also good, nice app to add. Looking forward to trying their Tri-Tip sandwich, hopefully it's as good! I…read morecan't say for sure that they were involved in this situation, but the store was completely sold out of chicken. Maybe all that bird watching worked up an appetite for bird. We read reviews. We looked at the menu online, then we walked from our hotel to the restaurant, planning to order a tri tip sandwich and chicken nachos, which were advertised as having either fried chicken or pulled chicken options. When we arrived, we were informed that they were out of both pulled chicken and tri tip. Not to fear, I told the clerk that we would have he nachos with friend chicken. Alas, they don't sell fried chicken anymore. I asked her what proteins they DID have. Ribs and pork loin, deli sliced were the only options. I asked if the nachos could be made with pork. They could. We ordered that and ribs. First, the good: the homemade potato chips are excellent. The BBQ sauce isn't bad. Now that we are done with that, down to the reality of the situation. I should have known better. We had been staying in a hotel not a hundred yards away for two days and hadn't smelled any smoke or BBQ. When we got back to our hotel room, we opened the boxes. Plating was attractive. The chips are good. A small side note. There is a gas station near my parents' house (North Fork Minit Mart if you are ever interested in visiting the geographic center of California) that purchases pre-seasoned ribs from Costco and cooks them in a crock pot full of sauce. If you like the ribs at this place, you will LOVE those ones. There was no smoke, no smoke ring, no evidence of BBQ at all. The name of the place is "savory smoke"... but the food is neither savory nor smokey. Thr ribs were tough, flavorless and stringy. Even a little salt would have helped. The rub was strale and "muddy". I'm not one who wants ribs to actually fall off the bone, but these you couldn't even get off the bone. The chips were good. The "nachos" were the chips (which are good), covered in canned cheese, flavorless baked pork loin in this case and onions. The onions and the chips stole the show. The chips are good. Incidentally, there is a bar next door that seemed steadily busy. My recommendation is that "savory smoke" give up the facade that they are in any way a BBQ join, because they simply aren't, knock down the wall to let the bar expand, and simply make chips for the bar patrons. The meat was trash. Thr chips were good. This place should be ashamed of itself.

Parking is nearby and can get a bit full since it is right there by the marina. Definitely a place you do not want to skip! Thank you and CHEERS!!
