Oh my! Now I see why this place is insanely packed and hard to get into anytime! We went following my nephew's morning graduation in the middle of a week. We were able to get seated right away as a party of 8. The servers were super attentive and quick on getting our orders. We had a cinnamon roll for the table as a treat for the new graduate. It was split between all of us so it is rather large! We ordered things from waffles and pancakes to eggs, omelets and the scramble at the table. Everything was great, including the grits! They cook them perfectly here!! Seriously, take note every other restaurant. Grits shouldn't be runny, but solid when picked up with a spoon. That's how grits are supposed to come out. Loved my Fungus Among Us scramble with mushrooms, two types of cheese on top of the potato casserole. A different take on a breakfast casserole with sliced thin potato rounds, and I loved it! We were up in Knoxville for a college tour of UT Knoxville, and on our drive back home we needed something for breakfast. We stopped by to eat here and it was amazing. I ordered "Savory Crepes," which were basically crepes stuffed with eggs, sausage, shallots, and cheese. My mom got French Toast, my brother got food ol' fashioned pancakes, and my dad got the "Here Figgy Figgy," toast with fig and apple. All of the food was delicious, but also had monstrous position sizes. The pancakes were each the size of the (large) plate, maybe even bigger. The French Toast was ridiculously thick. However, my mom had some slight complaints about the French Toast. She wished there were more powdered sugar on the French Toast itself rather than on the plate, and it was so thick that the egg didn't go all the way through the bread, leaving the middle as simply bread. Service was great! Our waitress was very nice and kept checking if we needed refills of our coffee (the answer was always yes). Food got out quickly and all at the same time. I was also surprised how quickly we were seated. The parking lot was packed but there were plenty of empty tables inside, and there was no wait. It wasn't particularly loud inside, and I liked the decor quite a bit. There wasn't any music (which isn't a complaint, I find it to be a good thing), seats were comfortable, and we had a large table. My friends frequently go to this restaurant as it has very high ratings. I decided to join them one morning for brunch on Monday. This place was completely packed... I don't know if they social distance. We ordered two cinnamon rolls for our party size of nine and we never received them. We also were seated and given water in glasses that were very dirty. I wanted to give our server the benefit of the doubt however once I received my food and was charged for a regular portion... I could not justify giving this place a two star rating. Just look at the photo... No cream cheese, no egg, no sauce and a couple of onions with one slice of salmon. Is it too late to get my $ back? read more

I've had the Eggs Benedict and the Fungus Among Us scrambler. The Eggs Benedict was fantastic with a little extra hollandaise sauce. Their sauce was perfect! It's not too lemony like some can get. But the scrambler is where it's at! Their potato casarole is something I now crave! My husband had the Chops and Eggs. I tried a bite, and although the chop was on the thin side, it was very well cooked, not dry at all. Everything in the restaurant is homemade. The orange juice is fresh squeezed right in house! Went for a late Sunday brunch this morning. Wait was 30 minutes, or was offered immediate seating at the bar. We opted for the instant gratification. Service by Madison, the friendly and extremely capable bartender, was impeccable. The experience was wonderful because of her! The food was great, everything was clearly made from scratch, as displayed on a sign over the bar. The biscuits were like pillows, the pancakes were enormous and the grits were melt in it mouth. It's was fun to watch the cinnamon rolls being made behind the base though a glass window. Took a few home for later and they did not disappoint! As soon as I walked in, it was really cold in there, to the point where I was shaking. They didn't have any available seating for outside due to the amount of people out there already, and sadly it was a beautiful day. The pricing is expensive. The cinnamon roll was the biggest I've ever seen and honestly it wasn't even that good. The cheese cake frosting wasn't very sweet either and I didn't like it. The French toast was awful. I got 3 really big pieces. The bread seemed to be sourdough bread (I think not too sure so don't shoot the messenger) and it was squishy. Every bite I took was wet and squishy on the inside and I could barely taste the cinnamon. (Note; although there's a decent amount of syrup on them, I promise that wasn't the case for it being squishy / wet / probably undercooked on the inside). They charged me $2.00 for one cooked egg... like cmon now. That's ridiculous. Overall the pricing was ridiculous and the food wasn't even worth it to me.... I could've gone to IHOP and gotten (pancakes, French toast, bacon, eggs and sausage for less than what I was charged and ordered). I got charged ($13.50) for 3 pieces of French toast and two eggs. One of the best breakfast spots in Knoxville! There's a reason why this place is always packed on a Saturday and Sunday morning; it's fantastic! We dined here the other day for brunch and waited around 20 minutes for a table. We started with a round of mimosas and really enjoyed them. They make them with freshly squeezed orange juice so they were delicious! I had a hard time deciding what to order because it all looked so good, but I just had to try the cinnamon roll. It did not disappoint! It was the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. I would recommend splitting it because it's huge, but it's incredible! I came here on a weekday morning and was seated promptly. The workers were "wearing" masks but their noses were not covered and they would adjust or remove them when interacting with customers. I ordered a salmon benedict. The salmon was fresh and yummy, but the eggs were not runny they were overcooked. The potato casserole was delicious. Unfortunately, they only offered brewed coffee. Their menu does not include lattes or cappuccinos. My friends ordered steak and eggs and raved about them. Went here to eat after eating here last weekend on the patio and seeing multiple people with their dogs eating. We took our dog this morning and we're told the patio is closed today. My husband asked for a manager and a girl called Jordan came and rolled her eyes and said there was a severe storm last night so the patio was closed today. Make it make sense. While my wife's crepe was hot and covered in a bechemel and Manchago cheese sauce with Gouda sausage was very good at 11.95,I was very disappointed in the Lox Bennie. Besides being cold and very little Lox ,the dill cheese sauce was a little off putting,plus a cold poached eggs are never a good start,especially when it cost 13.95. I have eaten Lox Bennies all over Knoxville and this one was definitely the worst,that I've tasted.
