Food was solid. I will give them that. I got a Biscuit Burger, a side of bacon (6 slices), and a drink. It was all decent. Nothing I couldn't do at home. It cost $24 without tip so a bit pricey. The issue here is the wait time. Yes they were pretty busy but I waited around 40 minutes for a small meal. I, along with others, thought the beeper wasn't working, but it turns out they were just so incredibly slow. The cooks looked confused at all times and the servers didn't seem to be much help. Would not recommend if you enjoy eating in a somewhat timely manner. read more

This was an awesome little brunch spot close to a walkable shopping area. The food was delicious and came out quick. I recommend the Veggie, the hollandaise sauce was so yummy! Disappointed. We waited 30 minutes for a Biscuit Sandwich with hash browns and grits. The sandwich and the grits were cold, and the hash browns were burnt. The only factor of this restaurant that we enjoyed was the outdoor seating area. Wouldn't recommend. read more

We had the Complete Breakfast, Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were huge, but not great. They were crumbly and needed to be eaten with a fork. The biscuits and gravy were cold. The hash browns are essentially a fried block of potatoes. Not sure we will be returning. read more

Scratch had great southern style, po-folk foods. The biscuits are great, looking more like focaccia at first glance, they are squarish, buttery rich, and worthy of a second serving, please don't count the calories! Your dietician may cry but your tastebuds will sing. My signature other and I enjoyed the food, with no complaints. My only point of contention was that they only offered plastic utensils, on a beach front thats a little disappointing . I would recommend, non at all if they are avoiding wash utensils all day. Just eat a biscuit as intended with your hands. Will be going back. read more

The food was amazing. I'm all about sauce and the sauce on the Nola's finest was great! My husband's fried chicken was amazingly as well. The fried green tomatoes were to thin and the hash brown casserole was ok. The caramel latte was immaculate my husband says. Over all we loved this place. read more

Absolutely loved this venue! I was visiting from Atlanta and looking for something similar to Callie's Hot Little Biscuit and this was JUST the spot, but with a much larger menu. A few of us arrived prior to the rest of the group which was good as it gave us plenty of time to review the numerous options on the menu including biscuits, sides, and plates. Admittedly I only took a few photos of the meals which were not devoured seconds after being set down, which included the Old Southern Breakfast, Southern Twang, and Down Home. I personally ordered the Old Southern Breakfast as although I love a good biscuit, I fill up quickly. I went with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, ham, and a biscuit with jelly, all of which was perfect and enough for one person. The two biscuits I stole bites from included the Southern Twang and Down Home. The Scratch Sausage Gravy had such a rich flavor, and I more than enjoyed the small chunks of ham as well. The Down Home was phenomenal with a tender brisket with melted cheese - simply hits the spot, especially if you are looking for something outside of the standard biscuit/ham/sausage options. Additionally, they make some great mimosas :) Looking forward to visiting again if I'm ever in the area! read more

We had their Full Southern Breakfast, and it was a crowd pleaser. Their biscuits are delicious. We also had their buttermilk pancake and it was great as well, and the presentation was pretty too with whipped cream, strawberries, blackberries, and blue berries. Perfect addition to watercolor. Good coffee, great biscuits, creative menu. The staff was super kind, and it was a lovely morning on the patio. We received our order quickly, and the kids were all full and happy! The only complaint was the oatmeal serving was too small for the money (especially compared to the portions of the other food), but all told, we will give it 5 stars. We had a group of 6. We had never been before. It was very crowded so we did not have much time to review the menu board once we got close enough. My daughter got a full breakfast but did not realize until we got our meal 20 minutes later that the biscuit did not come with any butter or jelly. The line was to long to order it. They should remind you when you order it cost additional. My granddaughter got French toast sticks and it came with honey not syrup which she did not want so ate some dry. read more

Stopped by here while I was taking a jog through Watercolor. The branding is 5/5, very well done. The biscuits are also 5/5. The sausage is embarrassing. I liked that they put 2 pieces on my biscuit, but who wants thick pieces of sausage with no flavor? The rest of the menu looked great though and I should have ordered some jams that are supposedly good. Please change the sausage. I'll change it up and get something different next time, but the Biscuit itself is very good. read more

It is located conveniently to the WaterColor Resort. A complex twist on a curbside southern breakfast place perhaps more suited to a mature palate on the go. The biscuits are perfection. The grits, though, are something of a cheesy harmony with cream which my southern bred kids didn't care for. The bacon was crisp. Can't complain about the scrambled eggs. Came for breakfast around 9am. There was a short line that moved very quickly. Our food also came out pretty quickly. The biscuit was larger than I was expecting and could've been shared. While I heard the regular coffee is good, I did not like my mocha. It tasted like watered down hot chocolate with no coffee in it. I would definitely recommend going for the biscuits as they are large and reasonably priced. I would not recommend any speciality coffee drinks. read more
