I really enjoyed the dalgona coffee and loved the thickness of the cream. I've never had dalgona before, but definitely enjoyed the toffee flavor. The egg and cheese muffin was delicious. Y'all cannot convince me this is entirely vegan - just look at the texture of the "meat" and "eggs"!! I just finished a hike on the gorge and decided to stop by this place before heading back to Portland. Now I found an excuse to keep returning to Vancouver for brunch because this was absolutely delicious. It was such a hearty burrito with a perfect medley of all my favorite things like crispy hash brown-like potatoes, cheese, and eggs. The service was really nice and they even let me sample their iced tea. The food can take a little while to be ready (my burrito took about 20mins) but I promise it's worth it in the end. The place was pretty popular! While I waited I sat outside this large, shaded patio shared by a brewery next door who offer a bunch of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (I got the peach kombucha). Time for a well-deserved review update and a bump up to 5-stars! We grab breakfast/brunch here on a regular basis and it is truly one of our faves. We're not vegan, and if you know anyone that's averse to vegan food for whatever reason, bring them here & they won't be able to tell the difference. I would swear their chorizo, steak, sausage and eggs were the real thing. Everything on their menu is scrumptious and follow them on Instagram for updates on specials. The staff is really nice, too. They now operate out of a food cart that's parked next to the Tap Union Freehouse taproom and you can take your food in there, or sit on their patio, if you aren't taking your order to-go. I absolutely love this gem of Vancouver. I've only tried a few things on the menu - because they've been so consistently tasty I haven't wanted to expand. Their egg & cheese on a dos hermanos sourdough bun is so f'ing good. I like to sometimes add the sausage to it. If you served me this without explanation, I'd never know it was vegan. I'm a total foodie so I love all kinds of foods but if you want vegan breakfast, it taste delicious. This is the spot I tried. I also tried their French toast was just delicious. My wife and I drive 25 miles round trip for their vegan breakfasts. Sometimes we'll drive there and order, other times we call it in. We've tried most everything on their menu and agreed their breakfast burrito was our favorite. Had them several times but each time something was either missing or exchanged with a different ingredient. On one occasion when I picked up our order, It was missing two orders of hash browns and one burrito was made incorrectly. When I told the gentleman about the missing food and wrong burrito, he rudely asked if I was a door dash driver or the customer and then said they were out of that ingredient and didn't apologize or offer any compensation. Not many vegan options in town so we decided to give them another chance. On this visit, the female was working and I ordered two breakfast burritos, one chorizo and the other sausage. Payed an extra $5 to add avocado to both. She told me she had to cook the chorizo and it would take 10-15 min. 30 minutes later she calls our name and doesn't apologize or say anything about the doubled wait time. Each of our burritos were mostly filled with scrambled tofu and breakfast potatoes that tasted like they'd been reheated in a microwave. Each burrito had maybe one bite worth of meat and avocado. The whole rest of the burrito was tofu and potatoes. The people that run the place might be a couple or married and are very rude, unappreciative and seem to hate their jobs. You'd think they'd have more consideration and appreciation for their customers. Still a great vegan option in Clark Co read more

I'm new to Vancouver so I don't know the history of Scratch really however at the present time they have a food cart now outside of Tap Union Freehouse. The parking lot has some spaces but also street parking. We came on a Sunday and was advised they do takeout from opening at 8:00 AM but it sounds like an indoor space inside opens about 11:00 AM. The individual who took/prepared our order was very nice and helpful! Ordered their biscuits and red eye gravy - really awesome! A nice fluffy and large biscuit, you could do what I did and just take off chunks and dip it into the gravy or just pour it on I suppose. It was really delicious, and the best part is that there is enough where I have leftovers that I can use tomorrow. My wife got the French toast and kindly allowed me a taste. Drove up from Seattle to spend a day in Portland and thank goodness this place was open during the snow storm we encountered while being in town! This place is in a food truck-type but you can eat inside the bar that it's posted next to. Due to the cold, they were giving out free hot chocolate! I had to take a cup, which was delicious btw. You can't beat a free cup of cocoa. My dad & I both ordered the breakfast sandwich and the fried mushroom was truly the star of the show on that sucker. We also ordered the French toast to share, and it came with a berry compote on top. Both items were a 10/10, highly would recommend. Scratch breakfast food truck has very friendly staff. There are a good amount of tables outside plus the taproom opens up a little later. They have bathrooms inside if it's open. Seems like a pop-up restaurant. It's located inside the TapHouse restaurant, you walk up to the bar to order from a small menu. Entire menu is vegan and they have gluten free options like pancakes and bread. I had the breakfast sandwich with gf bread it was hot and tasty. My daughter had the blueberry French toast it is a BiG serving and sweet. It's also pretty wet with the blueberry sauce you could order sauces on the side if you don't want it swimming in it. I also ordered a white cold brew coffee make with white coffee beans. It was interesting... very light flavor in general. I had the steak burrito. It was large. It was flavorless. I ate 1/2 & i left hungry. They had no decaf coffee. They had no sugar free drinks other than water. I am not vegan, however my friend who I came with is, and this burrito is still the best dang breakfast burrito of my life. Scratch is located inside Tap Union Freehouse in downtown Vancouver. They serve breakfast until 1, however they sold out before 12 PM on a Sunday. All of the staff members are super friendly and they have indoor and outdoor seating! The atmosphere is very chill and it's the type of place you'd enjoy being around when you're not in a rush. An important thing to note is that the food does take a long time. We waited 40 minutes for our food, so for some people this may be too long. I will say however the food was DEFINITELY worth the wait. They also have signs posted explaining that this isn't fast food, it's scratch food, so just be aware that you will be waiting for a bit. read more

This place is super cute! Just a little food truck with seating nearby. Workers are very very nice and made sure we got what we wanted. The food was amazing, and it's shocking it's all vegan. The scratch burrito was a great sharing size, we both didn't even finish it all. It was a nice crispy burrito and not too greasy at all. Finally tried this place today and I will definitely be a return customer. I had the burrito. It was a pretty big portion, and was super tasty. My husband got the sandwich royale and he LOVED it. He realized they used a vegan steak he had seen someone on YouTube review and he couldn't stop talking about it. I noticed their menu posted on Yelp is not accurate as I asked the cashier and he confirmed they changed some items seasonally. I wanted to try the pear lemonade but unfortunately they had no pears. It can be a bit of a wait as they are a food truck but they do have seating so you can enjoy your meal there. Great service and great food.
