Store's first impression was not the best. Upon entering the store, I almost walked out. The front of the store looked in disarray. I honestly thought this was a used/salvage type establishment. Fortunately, as I was debating whether to stay or walk/run out, Ramon asked if I needed help. I informed him I was looking for an electric dryer. He directed me to the dryers and informed me that the dryers had been tested and in good working order and new other than the scratches and dents. I was still not convinced. The dryers were also dusty. Then Ramon said they still had the manufacturer's warranty. He should have mentioned that first. I must admit, regardless of the minor scratches and dents and dust, the dryer looked in good shape. The inside of the dryer looked brand new/spotless. As Ramon left me to assist someone else, I looked up the dryer and price at one of the big box stores on my phone. The dryer was not only a better model than one I had recently purchased online. The dryer at Scratch N Dent was more than $400 less, not including other required fees the big box stores want to charge. Needless to say, I quickly canceled the dryer I had purchased online and bought the Scratch N Dent dryer. They even loaded the dryer onto my truck. Note: They do not strap down the appliance. So bring your own straps and or rope to secure the appliance. The moral of this story is, don't judge a book by it's cover. I got the dryer home, connected it and all is well. The dryer works perfectly. It has features I wasn't even looking for. Not to mention, the unexpected surprise when I opened the dryer door, there was light in the dryer compartment. I am truly happy with my purchase and will place Scratch N Dent at the top of my list for my next appliance purchase. If you like good prices and don't mind some minor scratches or dents, give Scratch N Dent a try. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Scratch N Dent and Ramon.

James helped me out with a new electric dryer and was able to combine shipping and delivery with my previous purchases.

They responded to my text amazingly fast. I texted them early Sunday morning around 7 AM. Told me someone would be coming by 11-1 PM. I thought that was awesome. BTW not a fan of AI, but their AI call center is amazing. 1 PM (name withheld) shows up with his tool bag and walks in. He seemed to be in a hurry on the way in and on the way out. He pulls the refrigerator off the wall, does (something?) Pushes it back and tells me "my compressor is dead". He sends me an estimate for $1046.78. I place $100 cash down to get repairs booked so I now owe $946.78 on a "dead compressor" repair. He then scoots out the door after maybe 15 minutes. Knowing a compressor failure is a costly failure, it caused us quite a bit of stress. I decided, against the advice of my wife, to still give ProStar a try. She was ready to cancel repairs and buy a new costly refrigerator which I talked her out of because I know almost all brands are garbage except for Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid. Here comes Shawn on Tuesday. Super guy, diagnosed the problem correctly with pictures for me, got to the part that was actually malfunctioning (freezer fan assembly with faulty sensor causing a big block of ice over it) and got it back up running for way less than "a dead compressor" like "expert" (name withheld) said. $481 bill plus my $100 deposit. I'm giving you all 4-5 stars because of the initial poor customer service I got.

We've had Joe out to work on our appliances twice now. The first time our refrigerator was failing…read moreto cool. The repair would've cost just as much as purchasing a new refrigerator. He recommended we contact the manufacturer to see if the warranty would cover it, and it did! The second time he came out one of the burners on our stove was malfunctioning. He knew exactly what the issue was, and what part to order. He also checked the icemaker in our fridge, (don't buy an LG fridge) gave me the part number to order, and told me I could replace it myself and save some money. When a repair technician does a good job and also helps you save money, what more can you ask for? Thanks to Joe for his expertise and professionalism!

This is probably the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with in my entire life…read more To start off with. The "technician" Matthew did not have my correct address the morning of our appointment. He stated his company "does not allow them to have the customer's address and gives them just gps coordinates" He was late about 3 hours. He shows up in his personal vehicle , no company vehicle. He does not carry any parts on his truck. So he came to my house just to guess on what part was not working and ordered something off of Amazon. No diagnostic tools , no F codes , just mumbo gumbo about how he has so much experience on washers and it could be two things. My drain pump or my lid lock sensor. I had mentioned to him earlier that , I had checked the drain pump for a clog and it was clear. He misheard me or thought I said I replaced it. I didn't replace it. I just checked if it was clogged. He tells us , he'll order the lid sensor and will come back the next day. The next day , I text him. Hey what's your eta? No answer. No text. Just silence. I call the company. Calls me back and tells me the part is not here yet and he'll be there later in the afternoon. I told him just to come by the next morning. Strange an appliance repair company doesn't carry parts. They order them on Amazon. Wow, okay. This morning. Comes to my house , switches the lid lock sensor. Realizes its not the lid lock sensor and tells my wife, " Hey bro , I think its the drain pump so I'll have to come back another day , so I'll have to charge you another trip charge and if its not the drain pump , it might be the control board" Wife says he called her bro like 7-8 times while explaining the extra charges. She texts me to call him. I called him to question why we are getting charged again if I already had a quote on the repair. Seems like charging me for extra trips to get Amazon parts is not a smart business decision. I asked him why did he not check if it was the drain pump first. He said he didn't because I had already replaced it once. I never said that. I checked if it was clogged. I told him just to leave. We'll sort if out with a real appliance repair company. He then tells me he is sick of f**king people like me and that this always happens to him. Then hangs up. Then he proceeds to text me 14 times on how much he was saving us with prices of different drain pumps and that he is exhausted from difficult customers. What a nut job. What a terrible company. The way he speaks about his superiors and the company itself should be a sign of what inept people hired him in the first place. Cussing to customers and complaining to them is such a red flag. Please save yourself some trouble and go with a reputable appliance repair. Hope this review helps you.

I REALLY wish I would have read the reviews on this place before buying here but moving and in a…read morehurry to get a washer and dryer, I went against my better judgment and bought here. Washer doesn't work. It did one cycle of laundry just fine and the 2nd day I had it it stopped working, it doesn't drain the water, it didn't spin my clothes so I had to hand wring them out and throw them in the dryer! I called and complained about it, seeing as I was only 2 days into the warranty, they said they would send a tech to fix it between 5:30-7. The guy showed up at 8:42. I didn't even want to open the door because I didn't know who it was. I let him in, he was on my patio for 10 minutes trying to fix the washer, and then decided that it was the motherboard and he had to take it in. He brings back the washer the next day around 8pm once again. I try another load of clothes. It turns on gets halfway through the cycle and shuts off. So here I am ONCE AGAIN, hand wringing out my clothes for the second time this happened late on a Saturday night. I called the following Monday and Ralph or Randy, whatever his name is told me that a tech would be out on Tuesday at 5:30.....NO ONE SHOWS UP. I call Wednesday morning around 9am asking him about why the tech didn't come out yesterday, and he said that he thinks the tech deleted my route. I don't understand how because "randy" took my information down. So then he told me the lady that I purchased the washer with would be in later and he was going to talk to her about replacing it. He calls me back and 10:45 to ask me when I purchased the washer, I tell him the 24th. I think he was only asking because he wanted to see if that warranty was over or not... NOPE, still have that 5 day old warranty sir! So he said ok he was just waiting for the lady to come into work....6 hours go by and I don't get a phone call, she must be the WORST employee ever to show up 6hours late for work! so I called and gave him my information once again, he acted like he didn't even know who I was and we have spoken 4 times since I bought the washer in the last 5 days!! and he says "oh I have you down for tomorrow between 3-5pm" I asked if he was going to even call me and let me know that he put me down for that time and of course he says yes, but I don't know how that could be unless he was calling the day of to let me know, which is unacceptable because there is no way to know if I would even be available at that time. So now I am sitting here waiting on tomorrow, keep in mind that there is 4 day old water still sitting in the washer... it STINKS! I'm just so annoyed by the whole process. Do yourself a favor and save up for a brand new washer and dryer, or any other appliance for that matter! I either want my stuff replaced or I want my money back, of course I would get my money because "all sales are final" What a scam! I am editing this review and adding 2 stars only because the technician Pepe is awesome, working late to fix my washer. It is fixed and running, not sure for how long. Hopefully for at least a year or 2.

I paid, however, they said they had to finish repairs on the one I picked. I needed a refrigerator ASAP. I paid for a loaner until mine was ready. They wanted to make sure it was working properly. They delivered the loaner and took away my old broken frig. The loaner had a leak. They came to repair the loaner. Finally, a week later my "new" frig was ready. They removed the loaner and installed my "new" frig. Everything was working fine until 1 year and two months later our "new" refrigerator stopped making ice and was not cooling. I called them and paid ($45) for a diagnosis. They said it would cost $600 to repair and recommend I buy a new refrigerator. I asked about my warranty, they would not honor it since it was past 2 months. The compressor was no good, which btw, they installed and was not an LG compressor. Beware! They buy scratch and dent in need of repair appliances and do their own modification, and not according to manufacturers specifications. They also do not use genuine parts, as I found out later. They will pull from other units to "repair". This may or may not come up with your home warranty company.
