I am updating my review since I haven't left one in a while. My son is Celiac and we've always had good luck getting pizza from Scratch. He now attends JVHS and goes in to get a drink after school while he waits for me to pick him up. He always tells me the people who work here are very nice and he was excited to see a JVHS student deal advertised. Today, he ordered a GF pizza while he waited for me to pick him up. He told me the guy working agreed to use clean ingredients and utensils that haven't been in contact with gluten- which is greatly appreciated . I wish the GF pizza was priced as good as the student deal, but I get it. GF always costs more especially when taking extra precautions. I just wanted to say I appreciate that the person working today took the time to listen to a teenager about his dietary restrictions and make food that he could safely eat. read more

When I tell you I've never met someone who hates their job more than this manager ( young blonde girl) a manager with no customer service skills is flabbergasting. I had already had a problem with her once before but attributed it to her having a bad day. I called ahead and asked about their promotion for the high school students to get pizza, specifically what was the limit on how many they could buy, she said no limit. My daughter was too embarrassed to call for herself she was also too embarrassed to go by herself but thank God I went. When we get there my teenager started asking questions to me not directing them to the manager which was obviously an issue. She very rudely looked at us and said I'm going to let this slide this time but next time you can only get one pizza the promotion is for the kids not the adults. My mouth hit the floor so you're telling me that the money my daughter was gonna use to buy the pizza which was mine anyways would only be good if I wasn't there? My teen was too embarrassed and rushed me out said she didn't even want the pizzas anymore. I called the Norco location they knew exactly who I was talking about because I assume she's a problem I asked who would her superior be and told me I had to write an email instead of talking to someone I assume no one would listen to complaints about her so I'm writing a review instead . TikTok made me do it! I had a Door Dash Gift card so on a lazy day we ordered from Scratch Pizza. I saw a few TikToks on this pizza place and had saved them to try because you know... curiosity and the algorithm. Here's the scoop from my non-pizza-lovingself. We Ordered a Classic Medium Peperoni pizza and Buffalo Wings. My husband was hoping for more sauce and extra cheese. The crust has potential good texture and color but the cheese-to-sauce ratio felt a little off for our tastes. A touch more mozzarella could bring balance without sacrificing the crust's charm. The wings are Tiny little bites! They were more like nibs than wings about an inch and a half each. If I'd known, I probably would've grabbed more to make up for the size. Lesson learned, size does matter... sometimes. The verdict is we're not giving up just yet. I'd be down to swing back for a specialty pizza and give it a proper second chance. The photos on yelp looked amazing, and I'm hoping it was just an off night for the Scratch crew! Overall this is not a slam but not a home run either. It's positioned well in my neighborhood that makes it worth trying again. Everyone I've encountered there have been friendly and helpful each time. The area is a bit small, but always clean whenever I visit to pick up or ordering a pizza. Talk about a set up to rip you off. When you order on line they have all their specials and options. I ordered a 5 topping pizza, added 5 toppings from the selections. After adding everything and ordering I looked at the bill thinking it was high, only to find out certain topping or sauces are different costs. As you can see in the photo there is no mention of a different price for pesto as base, the cost later never disclosed until after I paid, $5. My 23.99 special became 35.59, what a rip off. Clearly I should have paid more attention to the total before ordering, but I have never encountered a company that true to up charge you with out notice. Steve if you were trying to be honest and not catch people not paying attention the up charge should be right there next to the item. I was also charged 2.50 for Garlic Parmesan crust with zero mention of any "xtra" pointed out. Stopped by there yesterday (5/23/2023). I promised my son, that if he passed a certain class, I would have a pizza party for them, seeing as how it was a group project. Well they passed, and I immediately called Scratch and ordered 2 pizzas with 2 toppings double cut. I told him I needed them by 1pm. They delivered alright, I got there at 1 on the nose, and the pizza's were ready to go...But then I thought to myself...I don't think this is going to be enough. I've given this place plenty of tries and every time they screw up my order by subbing peanuts for cashews like I'm not going to realize.... and they charge $4 for cashews!! It would be acceptable once.... but EVERY Time across 3 orders that span a year?? I HIGHLY DOUBT I'm randomly picking the rare instances they don't have cashews. I've been eating here for years and love the food... But I had to write this review due to the new service fee if you order online! Why am I being charged more for an easier way that doesn't require your employees more work, but if I call in you don't charge it! Very disappointed in this sneaky money grab. Edit: I see your response, so keep prices competitive by being sneaky with our price increase. Seriously I would rather you increase the price of the pizza by $.50 and be upfront with it than using a service fee. Own your cost as the price of doing business, I/we can respect that. read more
