    Eggs Avocado Benedict California Omelette
    Aina I.

Cozy, delicious brunch spot in the IE! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately. Their meal portions are huge and definitely filled us up. I got the avocado eggs Benedict and it was very flavorful! The eggs were perfectly cooks and the hollandaise sauce was so tasty. Their potted plant latte is not only super cute, but really yummy! I would definitely come back here again for a chill brunch moment with friends or family.

Brunch at Popping Yolk Cafe in Ontario Ranch! This cute little spot has ALL the fun brunch vibes! It's super roomy and spacious, with outdoor seating too. The whole place feels colorful, light, and airy, and the staff was so friendly! I had to try their cute plant inspired coffee topped with thick whipped cream and Oreo crumble. The espresso was STRONG, which I loved, but it was still perfectly sweetened with that creamy coffee flavor. SO GOOD! For food, I got the Nashville Chicken Benedict and it was delicious! The potatoes were also a HIT: tiny, crunchy, and perfectly salted. The Toffee Banana French Toast was sweet, delicious, and had the perfect little crunch! And if you love ube , definitely try their Ube Latte! It was SO good. I'd also recommend trying their Ube French Toast! They have so many dishes to choose from, and honestly, I enjoyed EVERYTHING I tried. Overall, I loved the food, the vibes, and my whole experience here. Definitely adding Popping Yolk to my brunch rotation!

I've been to the Popping Yolk in Alhambra but this was my first time dining at the Ontario location. My husband and I arrived at 8 AM and there was plenty of parking and no line. You order first, and take your number to any table you want. The girls working in the morning were super sweet and helpful. The interior is beautiful inside but we decided to eat outside because there was a nice breeze. The heat will be upon us in a couple hours so wanted to take advantage . However, when our food starting coming out, I noticed I was getting bit by mosquitoes. I got 3 bites and my husband did as well. They were so nice to help us move to an inside table. Anyway, on to the food. My husband got the egg salad chicken sandwich and I got the kimchi chicken Benedict. We also shared French toast. We also got the mango iced green tea and a potted plant coffee. By the time we were leaving, more people started to trickle in and the restaurant started to fill up. My husband really liked his meal. He definitely wants to come back.

IG : socalhkfoodies Love the aesthetic vibe at Popping Yolk! They have a great selection of brunch classics, from the ham and egg croissant to Eggs Benedict. The cinnamon apple French toast was crunchy, sweet, and perfect for satisfying my sweet tooth! They also have a nice outdoor seating area. Overall, a cute spot for brunch with friends or family!

My new favorite brunch spot in the IE. Food is delicious and served up nice and hot. Atmosphere and customer service was a 10/10. I had a breakfast sandwich it was delicious along with some breakfast potatoes and don't forget grab their famous plant latte. Banana toffee French toast is a must, So good !

I was in town for a weekend soccer tournament and stopped by here. It's an order and sit type of location but it was not busy. Shortly after there was a huge line. The food was amazing, the French Toast was crunchy and soft inside. The eggs with potatoes were cooked perfectly. The only bad thing was all our food came out separately.

I love a good brunch and the Popping Yolk Cafe definitely came through. I wanted to go eat with my daughter before the new school year. I went around 9am on Monday and it wasn't busy yet. I decided on the Classic Breakfast which comes with soft scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, country fried potatoes, toast, and a spring salad. My daughter wanted the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich which comes with hot chicken (you can choose from mild, medium, spicy) sunny side up egg, coleslaw, pickled cucumber, and a house made Cajun mayo sauce. It also came with country potatoes and a spring salad. She really liked the spiciness of the chicken. We also shared the house french toast for some sweetness. They deep fry it, so it comes out crunchy and so delicious! It comes with mixed berries, condensed milk, and maple syrup, so yummy. I got an Earl Grey latte and my daughter wanted to try the Plotted Plant coffee. It's so cute and was perfectly sweet. The restaurant has a nice aesthetic and the staff was friendly. It started to get busier when we were done eating around 10am. If you're thinking about breakfast or brunch, or even lunch, definitely give them a try. I'm definitely coming back with my husband next time.

fantastic brunch spot! they have SOOO many options to choose from--both savory and sweet items. i love a good eggs benedict, and the ones we got did NOT disappoint!! service was great, i appreciated that there were multiple check-ins. very spacious location as well. parking is super easy since it's just a big lot so that's another bonus

Not sure if it was just because of Mother's Day but we waited a long time for food. The table next to us was complaining to us that they have been waiting an hour for food. And the manager came to apologize to them but they didn't like his response and let us know. Fortunately the food is tasty. Aimee the host is very great at communicating the wait time and managing so many hungry people. So props to her. The overall experience was okay but I think it's just because it was Mother's Day.

First time here. Interesting selection of breakfast items. Especially the variety of eggs Benedict. I went with the Norwegian eggs Benedict which had salmon. My wife went the egg and cheese sandwich. We love the crispy fried potatoes and the salad that came with both dishes was a pleasant refreshing addition to what would be as heavy meal. Service was really good, wait staff constantly checking on you. Will come back again.

    Cali omelette without the mushrooms
    Anjelica C.

Food - I ordered a hot grape tea. it was a huge teapot! def could have been shared and now i get why the person taking my order asked me how many cups i wanted. i ordered the california omelette which came with A TON OF SPINACH. LIKE SO MUCH SPINACH. like even popeye would be like, thats too much spinach. i took the mushrooms outs. avocados & cherry tomatoes. it was an ok omelette but really just way too much spinach. the potatoes were really good. i didnt eat the toast because it only came with butter and no jam and i didn't want to ask for any because we were in a rush already. the salad was good. had a light dressing. service - it was pretty busy but the food took a good amount of time to come out. maybe 45 minutes after sitting down. and we were sitting out on the patio which ended up being kind of chilly. ambiance - busy but plenty of seating if you have a large party. we sat outside on the patio which does not have heaters and is fully covered so was chilly.

Welcome back for another episode of Delicious with Zach!…read moreToday we tried a Carlotta, Pineapple Drop, Palmiers, Turkey & Cheese Croissant and Monkey Bread Carlotta - 10/10 Absolutely delicious. The texture, the bright lemon flavor, not overly sweet, and full of fresh flavor. Everything was perfectly balanced and on point. Pineapple Drop - 8.75/10 I was expecting the cookie to be a bit drier, but that was just my initial assumption. The pineapple flavor came through nicely and wasn't overly sticky or "tacky." Palmiers - 10/10 Baked to perfection. Flaky, soft, with the perfect amount of crunch. The flavor was beautifully balanced and those sugar crystals were delicious. Felt like I was sitting in a South American bakery. Turkey & Cheese Croissant - 7.92/10 The croissant itself was perfect, the turkey was good, and the cheese was just okay. In fairness, we only ordered this because they were out of the ham & cheese croissants (which we love). If I had never tried the ham & cheese version, this one would probably land in the high 8s or low 9s. Unfortunately, the turkey & cheese just didn't stand a chance against the original. Monkey Bread 10/10 Holy cow! The monkey bread can be described as addictive... the monkey bread is baked with pecans on the bottom, cherries mixed in, cinnamon and a soft dough drizzled with frosting. The monkey bread was so fresh, soft, and full of flavor. The pecans and cherries were perfectly balanced in the monkey bread creating a delicious snack. One last note: We went back up to order more palmiers and the wonderful lady working the counter (Maria) gave us a complimentary one and a monkey bread. Super kind and thoughtful; she actually helped guide us to the carlota as I was wanting a lemon bar or tart and they were out of them. The store is small but had a decent layout. The display window had a variety of bagels so you could pick and choose what looked good to you. The confusing thing was the menu board TV screen kept rotating images and the prices for the bagels rotated from $2.00 to $2.50 to $3.00. Then when I ordered my Jalapeño Cheese bagel it turned out to be $3.50! It kind of felt like they were tricking customers with the lower prices being shown. The total price for this was over $6.50 for just a bagel and cream cheese which is on the higher end for this product. Oh well. At least the jalapeño cheese bagel with cream cheese was good. It was chewy and very bready. If you like your bagel more toasted then I would recommend you ask for that. It reminded me very much of a softer jalapeño cheese Wetzel pretzel if you have had that. It wasn't similar to a classic New York bagel, but it was very tasty in a different way. I'd come back.

I truly hope this was an isolated incident, especially on a busy holiday, but I also hope food handling and quality control are looked into so no other families have to spend Mother's Day ending like ours did.
