Came here on a Saturday , as my friend wanted to attend their rave next store. I dont fit into that scene. I find dubstep and any sorta urbanized form of electronica and dance to be off putting. I'm a heavy metal/rock guy. So I decided the alternative option: screaming sally saloon -- a bar. Turns out I don't fit there either, as this bar -- at least that night -- was a biker bar. So it might come to a surprise that a good number of these bikers loved rave music instead of what I like. Metal. Surprise being that bikers generally and stereotypically gravitate to extreme forms of music such as metal. But not all was lost. The drinks were generally cheap. And the scantly clad women attracted many eyes. Apparently Sally's is equal parts biker meetup equal parts bar and equal parts strip club? Right off the highway. THe other reviews pretty much sum it up. Clientele is colorful and posted in the wall the motto was "Men, no shirt, no service. Women no shirt, free beer." Definitely a divey bar. Our waitress brought us our Sculpin beers and then told us we could order carry out from the diner next door. She showed us the ropes and took good care of us. We ate some tasty grill food, watched the gals show some ta tas , and my husband was highly amused. He still lets me find the places to eat. Not a family place for kids. read more

The bartenders Amber and Pam are excellent people. I tried again to have drinks and have a relaxing time and the place is freezing cold and out of wood for the fire pit and the new table completely destroyed the historic atmosphere of the place now it looks like a wannabe Chili's. We will be hold our woman's club meetings somewhere else. Good luck to the owner and in hopes to make better decisions. read more

My buddies and I went to the chicken every Thursday for 10 years straight. We just stopped going for about a year and we all went back on a Thursday and the blonde crack lady bartender looked at us and just turned the other way we sat at the first round table by the door for 20 minutes and not once did she ever ask can I help you or do you need anything so we all got up and started to walk out the door and we got acknowledged with a goodbye. It was ok till today. They have a happy hour not sure on the time but i know it was till 6 I want to say and it was $10 domestic and $15 for imports for a bucket great deal! But be sure that you ARE CLEAR! Cause we got glass bottle with it and when we went back to get a second bucket they said they were out of glass if we wanted aluminum and said it was fine. From there they should have said it's not apart of the deal which ok fine. But we expected our bill to be less then what it was. So I was annoyed that one it should have been mention and two don't act like you don't care I feel like it was shady as shit. So make sure if they have a deal to ask what is all the clarification. And NO WHERE ON THE BOARD SAYS ANYTHING IF ITS GLASS OR ALUMINUM! It was really shady. read more

I see the Screamin' Chicken Saloon, is rated from 1 star, up to 5 stars! I gave it 5 stars! To allot of people, it would be a "dive bar"....but, if it is a dive bar, then it is a rustic, "classy" dive bar.....with personality/ambulance, all of its own! I found the place, a great place to chill, and hang out at, for a few hours! The place is casual attire, casual attitudes, and casual beers! You can expect to see just about anything walk through the front door: blue collar workers, retired people, young newbee's, motorcycle biker club members, disabled people, (I'm disabled), and people who are even lost! Lol~ Unfortunately, they do not have a kitchen, so there is nothing to eat, except free popcorn, or peanuts. Now, here's the good part......Tony's Diner, is right next door! You can get food from there, and bring it into the Screamin' Chicken! I have brought food in, from other places to eat, and it's ok to bring it in, to eat! They do have a large selection of draft beer, bottle beer, and wine! They do not have mixed drinks! It's just a beer & wine bar! They have really good prices, on their draft beer! It comes in about a 16 oz round handle mug, or you can buy draft beer in a pitcher! I have found the bartender's very friendly, and personable. In fact, so are the customer's! I have a good time, every time I go in. I've been there at least a dozen times! Great place, to drink, and converse! Don't go in with a "negative" attitude, or you will find your negativity, right back in your face, real fast, or you'll find your ass out in the parking lot! Be prepared for anything! The ladies could "flash their breasts" at you! I've seen it happen, more than once! But, the Screamin' Chicken is NOT a strip bar, so don't waste your time, if you go there, wanting to see nudity! People just go with the flow there! In fact, I'll be there again, tonight! I like the main room, it has people signing dollar bills, and then they are stapled to all the walls, and the ceiling! In the main room, they have a great bar with wooden tree trunk seats. In the middle of the room, they have high bar tables, and swivel seats, then by the windows, they also have booths! There are plenty of large, flatscreen TV's to watch sports, etc. In the back room they have two pool tables, and a dart board. Outside, in back, there is a stage, for having live bands performing, with amphitheater seating! So, the Screamin' Chicken Saloon, can become a real happening place, at times! It's located on the original Cajon Blvd (Route 66), on the West side of the 215 freeway, just North of the Devore offramp, where the road ends by approaching a cul-de-sac, and it's right there, on the left! There's no way you can miss it! It's right there, where the road dead ends! Everyone has a different opinion of this place, so you will have to go, try it, and form your own opinion! Just don't go in, with "high" expectations, just let it surprise you, especially if you are a "BEER" lover! read more

It was during the day so very mellow but the bartender, Sheryl was very nice and the locals were super cool also . Yes it's a dive bar but cool vibe and reasonable prices. I walked into the Screaming Chicken for the first time and a cloud of smoke enveloped me. Not smoke from a fireplace, but from dozens of cigarettes in the hands of grizzled men and women who had seen better days, doubtlessly purchased from a vending machine whose bottom three rows are devoted to selling Newports, Marlbouroghs, and Camels, with and without menthol, calling out their addictive siren-songs. I sidled up to the bar, and looked down the row of 25 beers on tap, settling on an Arrogant Bastard ale. As my beer is poured for me, I hear a creaking sound on the bar, as a woman only wearing a thong crawls towards me. As my beer was placed in front of me, she came up and, as her nipple scraped the foam off the top of my beverage cooed "I'll sell you my panties for five dollars...its for charity...". Flustered, I answered "No thanks, I already have a pair." (I actually do not, this is just my standard response to anyone trying to sell something to me, strippers included). Her response, without missing a beat: "...yes, but they're not mine...you'll like mine!" I walked out to the wooden back porch, it was sunset, and the velvet blackness of twilight began to envelop me, warded off by hanging lanterns, Christmas lights offering BEER and BOOBIES for all to see, and a ribbon of silver headlights stabbing though the I-15 Mountain Pass. Freight trains passed by, lowing their frustration, the Southwest Chief sidled into a siding, two hours late. Men and women in leather jackets talked inside and sang along to rock-n-roll, or metal, or doo-wop, or the oldies as the mood of the evening shifted with capricious whims that I could not fathom. I ordered another beer (after making sure that the stripper was gone), stapled a one dollar bill to the wall, played a game of pool with a toothless local and went home, my car slipping through the night down Route 66, passing a sign that said "San Bernardino Welcomes You!". Strangely enough, The "Screaming Chicken" was the first place where I could believe that. Overall: The dive bar that defines all other dive bars. Worth a drive from anywhere in Southern California. Five stars for an incredibly authentic experience. Extras: Nestled in the crook of I-215 and I-15. The Wednesday evening bartender has an incredible superpower...she can make any statement into a sexual innuendo about fellatio. Truly, it is an experience not to be missed Leather jackets aren't required, but highly recommended. A wood-burning stove in the center of the room keeps the place warm during the winter. Keep an eye out for the tile from the 1950's above the trough and below the condom dispenser in the Men's room, which features a handyman swinging a mop and plunger saying: "If you have any problems with the quality or cleanliness of your restroom experience, please talk to the vendor". My buddy and I came here to......well drink beer....DUH When we arrived there was an MC gathering going on so we had to pay a cover fee of sorts, but that fee also included lunch(BBQ outside)so it was cool. We got a seat at the bar and began to.....well drink! They actually have a good selection on tap. Fat tire, Shock top...etc. Not just bud and coors. The ladies behind the bar keep our beers coming and also had a good laugh with us. Outside they have a deck area, and another area down the hill that looked like a band stage. I do not believe they server food as I did not see any sort of kitchen area.But overall this place was a great little hell hole to drink some cold ones at!!! read more

Let me open by saying that this is, hands down, one of the most amazing dive bars that I've ever been to, if not -the- most amazing (and I'm pretty seasoned after twenty years flying all over the US and years working with DJs in Las Vegas). The ambiance is amazing, the decor is unique and expansive, and the place is both huge and welcoming. Now, the reason why I'm not giving it five stars (yet) are twofold: first, they don't serve hard liquor...or at least, they didn't the last time I was there. The second is that they're dead. I don't know what gives...we were just there last night (Saturday), and we were the only four people in there -all night-. If I find out more, I'll elaborate...but for now, it's a hell of a thing to be able to walk into a badass bar like that and have it all to yourself on a Saturday night with friends. This place is the quintessential example of a true, bleed red white and blue, leave your Honda Accord at home, if it don't rhyme with Budweiser it's swill, American dive bar! They serve beer and wine and if it's after 9pm, you gotta order pizza on delivery cuz next door Tony's diner is closed. We hit this place to catch game 7 of the world series (gratz Cubs!). The barkeep hooked us up with some leftover pizza and peanuts since we arrived after 9pm. She's a doll and amply endowed if you get my meaning. The pizza was cold so we heated it up on the no BS wood burning stove in the middle of the bar! Oh, good luck counting the $1 bills all over the walls and an extra star for the super friendly pit bull chilling out by the pool tables. Folks, seriously now, skip the chain restaurant/bar and drive a few extra miles to support a great bar made out of a former gas station. you can always use a little extra Americana! read more

I stopped by for my first visit last night. I arrives at 5pm. Upon pulling up I saw the big chicken on the building which def made it stand out. The building looks like it used to be a gas station because it has the bays in front. I walked in and was warmly greeted by the bartender. After having a couple of drinks I started talking with the locals and hit it off with them. All was great than the next shift started Pam walked in she caught my attention as soon as I saw her. I tried not to stare but in simple words she's smoking hot.I was like a kid at Christmas when she started serving me. She's funny, down to earth and a lot of fun to drink with. Yes everyone on here refers to her having "tricks" and "superpowers". I'm not so sure about making everything into a sex joke but I ask her next time. As for flashing don't try and give her money to flash you. She doesn't like that and she will do it if she likes you I suppose. No I wasn't one of the chosen one guys. But I will say they do look nice lol. Overall a great bar, good prices and the locals are great. The name comes from the laugh of the original owner. Historical note - used to be The Nut Stop, dried fruit and nut store (40 years ago) OCCASIONAL food with grills for special events.
