I looked through years of previous reviews for this place. It appears that people either hate or love Trevor's Rustic Inn. So you can consider this review an update and a compromise. One review complained that it took half an hour to get a salad. Yes, it took about half an hour to get a salad. One review complained that the bathroom was dirty. If you look at my pics, you'll see for yourself that it isn't dirty. But it is OLD and needs some renovation. (A doorknob would be nice!) We stopped by at 4:45 for the Friday prime rib special (no longer $15.95, now $18.95). The specials are served after 5:30, so we left and came back. The service is slow. One waitress for six tables should be faster. My wife gives the prime rib a 5/10; I give it a 6/10. It was well-cooked but barely seasoned. We asked for water, but it never came. To her credit, when we asked for the bill, our waitress looked horrified and said, "I forgot your waters!" After a pause, she asked, "Do you still want them?" I think it's a better watering hole than a restaurant. The drinks were reasonably priced. I didn't notice if the bartender was being rude. It looked pretty calm at the bar.

Still the greatest Rib Eye in this neck of the woods!! Speedy wait staff and a place where everyone always feels comfortable!

Part of the old Route 66 business loop in San Bernardino built in the 50's.Good reasonably priced food, nice people, good service, heavy duty local dive ambience with 150 yr old wagon wheels from the morman emigration hanging from the open rafter ceiling.

Myself and a colleague wanted to go have a drink at some local bar just to pass the time have a beer, we happen to always drive by the rustic Inn so I figured why not. We were kindly greeted by the bartenders as we entered it was mostly empty mostly regulars we can tell. We sat down and had one beer and each Newcastle and Stella Artois. Right away when we received our beers we tasted or beer and noticed that there was a very slight difference in what we usually know the taste of those beers are the Newcastle was a bit crisper and other one was a little bitter , right away we knew that these beers or either too old or were not at the right temperature as they were poured out. Bar was very large and had a very old style to it with lots of beer signs let up all over the place and a lot of like old style beerb Bar was very large and had a very old style to it with lots of beer signs lit up all over the place and a lot of like old style beer ads. They apparently have a lot of trophies for playing pool there . Needless to say we didn't stay long the beer was very very much off and we did not really enjoy the beer however the courtesy and hospitality of the bartenders was decent but to me a bars all about how it manages and keeps its beer if it's not good then I'm sorry I can't give it a good review

The place to be on Sunday during football season.

It gives off a biker bar vibe just by the looks of it. On one visit I asked my buddy if he had ever been to Wooden Nickel. He admitted that he was a bit intimidated by its appearance. I told him, "Well we're going today"! Off we went. My buddy, my wife Becky and me. We headed down the hill. It was about a 10-minute walk to the primitive parking lot. There was a Ford F150 pick-up truck out front with a huge smoker trailer behind it billowing smoke. The air was filled with the wonderful aroma of smoking meats. We walked inside and it was pretty much what we were expecting. Low ceiling, dimly lit, bar seating, a few tables and a couple of pool tables. We bellied up to the bar and were warmly greeted by the bartender. We ordered our drinks, and I noticed a menu on the table. On this day it was smoked meat. Burgers, ribs, tri-tip, chicken - all cooked right out front. When we saw the pit boss emerge from the behind the kitchen door, we were sad that we already had dinner plans. He was a big 'ol dude wearing a BBQ-stained white apron. We just knew that there was legit food exiting that kitchen. Never judge a book by its cover. Wooden Nickel was great. Friendly folks, cool bartender, smoked meat, cold drinks, cheap prices. There's really not much more to ask for. Wooden Nickel. What a joint!

Great customer service even though I'm not a regular. It's spacious with a huge projector screen for central viewing, as well as other standard big screens all around the walls. There are 2 pool tables. There's also a pinball machine and dartboard. There were other Niner fans here even though we were in the heart of SoCal, and we were whooping it up. Even though we were strangers, there was an instant connection. Best of all, the Niners won! I won't credit Red Fox for that, just the pinpoint arm of Brock Purdy. But the fun ambiance certainly buoyed the celebratory mood! The building is surrounded by a huge parking lot with a plethora of spaces. Why are we so devoid of real estate and parking in NorCal? The Red Fox is a great place to watch any game or just hang out. If I lived in the community, this would definitely be one of my regular haunts.

We wanted a good…read moresteak and a place to unwind, so I took a chance on Ye Olde Lamplighter after seeing the reviews. Pulling into the parking lot, we weren't sure what to expect, this place blends right into its surroundings and gives major "if you know, you know" energy. It's literally next to a collector's shop. Walking inside felt like stepping into an old movie, very cozy, dim, and full of character. Booth seating is limited, so we started at a small table with the option to move once a booth opened up. Drinks in hand, we took in the scene and quickly realized this spot has karaoke and a loyal group of regulars who bring the entertainment. We ordered pan seared ahi and potato skins to start, and once we moved to a booth, the food arrived. The ahi was fresh and surprisingly good, especially for my first time trying it. The potato skins were classic and paired perfectly with our drinks. For entrées, we both went with the ribeyes and chose baked potatoes as our sides. The steaks came out tender, juicy, flavorful and honestly far better than we expected. The kind of meal that makes you pause mid‑bite and look at each other like, "Wait... this is actually delicious." And the pricing? Perfect. Almost unbelievable for the quality of the food, service, and overall experience. Between the great steaks, friendly staff, lively atmosphere, and the chance to just relax and enjoy each other's company, this place delivered exactly what we needed. We'll definitely be back.

I'm glad I didn't listen to myself, and we went in and had a great experience. I would say that this place is like an old-fashioned steakhouse, dark, but comfortable. The bar area seemed to be occupied by regulars, as did several of the booths and tables in the dining area. We met Lisa & Dave, the owners, and Lisa waited on us, while Dave was tending the bar. We started with two Old Fashioned cocktails, one a Crème Brûlée and the other a Blackberry. Both were unique, outstandingly delicious, and at $9 each, a real steal. So much so, we shared a second Crème Brulé Old Fashioned. FOOD: They started us off with a complimentary basket of Cheesy Garlic Bread. We ordered the Sautéed Mushrooms ($14) to share. My mother-in-law got the Lamp Burger ($13) served with fries, and my wife and I both ordered the Prime Rib (Queen Cut $37) served with veggies & fries. We both got the side salad, but I also ordered a cup of Chili Verde soup ($5). I asked for a side of blue cheese dressing and received a small cup of the homemade blue cheese dressing using Gorgonzola which was fantastic! We finished it off with their Brown Butter Cake ($10) served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I can't begin to emphasize how delicious everything was, and the service was top notch. I guess the lesson is, don't judge a book by its cover (or the parking lot). We had a delicious meal, fantastic cocktails, and excellent service. We'd most definitely return for another visit.
