Instead-it was quick and easy and here is what a customer wants to see when he turns the corner in to your store- a smiling employee standing on station (just inside store) waiting to receive customers-making eye contact,being personable and well spoken- that is exactly what quortney did(sorry I prob goofed name but prob 28 year old African American w piercings) I was crabby going in but she made it impossible to stay that way, made the exchange very quick and easy and no hassle. She engaged my kids and talked about music and about t shirts in store which we ended up buying two of. The store was clean and nobody was texting on their phone or doing anything other than engaging customers or cleaning the store while we were in there. I did not receive any compensation or even tell them I would write this but as a business owner-I appreciate employees doing what you train and hope for-giving positive customer experiences bc it is hard to find good people these days. In the store I was told that we do not do this sort of thing here when I requestsd a bra fitting as a trans woman. I was further told to tell others like me this. When we interacted there were multiple opportunities to deny service that didn't include blatant transphobia, but this is the approach that was chosen. I went on to email the owner about this Awful service s I received. My concerns were dismissed. I was gas lit regarding them not providing the service. Their website clearly states that they do measurements for bra fitting. The attendant was willing to assist me until she asked that I was trans. The email also stated that they had other customers they were focused on. Their tone was incredibly dismissive of my concerns. If they were busy maybe there would be grounds for this. Unfortunately for their narrative there were two customers in the store counting me. If you are a trans woman if an ally, please avoid these people. They are wildly unprofessional. And frankly transphobic. Nothing about my interaction was pleasant. Tldr I was denied service based on being trans. They are incredibly rude the entire time I've tried to reconcile this. Avoid them.

Upon walking into the store, I was pleased that at least one part of the makeover was successful--the store seemed much brighter and more open. I also enjoyed the runway of mannequins showcasing this season's looks, as this is reminiscent of the setup at Reiss, one of my favorite retailers. There is no getting around the fact that this location is one of the smaller Ann Taylors. As for a boutique-y feel, I would say not so much--in fact, the only concession to a customized shopping experience that I observed is the touchscreen monitor that gives shoppers access to anntaylor.com where they can view and order items that are not available in store. I must have timed my visit right as there was a great sale going on, which leads me to: the point of sale. I'll note that the space near the cashwrap could be expanded as there is really no place to stand and right at checkout is not the best time for the customer to feel hemmed in. Overall, not a bad shopping experience, just not what I was expecting given the level of attention and market research that I'm sure went into this store's opening.

Once I did decide I wanted a fitting room help was on-hand and I didn't have to go hunting an associate down to get a room. The fitting room was nice & roomy, well lit and equipped with a large bench, full-length mirror & hooks. The fabrics vary depending on the item; sweaters, cotton tees, draped back blouses, running leggings, cropped training pants, yoga tights, hoodies, bra, jumpsuits, sport tops with built-in bra. I tried it all... They all felt good. The fabric is from the same factory as Lulu actually. Not comparing the two stores but just so you have an idea. I enjoyed the vivid colors available. Price points were totally respectable and not extravagant by any means. I concluded my first visit with a 4 item purchase and left a happy new customer. Can't wait to put my new gear to work in the gym and report back on how the attire holds up under the stress of my weight training and cardio sessions. Short: Ordered furniture at end of December 2020- now being…read moretold August 24, 2021. 8 MONTHS waiting on furniture. Details: Ordered a sectional a the end of December. We were told by the Macy's sales associate that it would be a while before it arrived- maybe April or May. Received an email in February from Macy's stating they would let me know when my furniture was in the warehouse. Seems like all is moving along & would arrive about April/May...the same time we were told by the Macy's associate at time of order because expected delivery times is often a deciding factor when people are purchasing furniture. At the end of April- I decided to check in on my order and was told the order was now expected at the end of August. Eight months waiting on furniture!? We expected a delay of about 3 maybe even 4 months due to COVID, but after being told April/May and then doubling the wait time without a word is BAD BUSINESS. Was sooo happy to find a sectional big enough for our family & within budget, however, this ordeal is Definitely leaving a very bad taste for Macy's. In fact- after we get our furniture, hopefully in August- this will be the last thing we ever buy here (if they don't go out of business first). Especially after being told we lose the deposit if we cancel our order. If we find a couch we like that's deliverable before August, it will be worth the loss or small claims court (I got time) or the CC bank will eat it, and Macy's can stick the couch you know where. It will be in stock for the next sucker. More informative updates and more accurate estimations of delivery time from sales associates on our furniture would've avoided this. We ordered this based on an April/May delivery- NOT August.
