The whole experience with Easy Open was... easy…read more We recently had our old screw drive (installed in 2005 by previous homeowners) Liftmaster completely fail. The light flickered nonstop and the unit refused to even attempt functioning. I ordered a brand new jack shaft/side opener off Amazon and was going to try installing myself. But then I discovered our garage door was super unbalanced (the spring had lost a lot of tension I guess). This would likely make the new opener unable to function, and garage door springs are not safe for a DIYer to mess with, so I was stuck and decided to call in the professionals. I reached out to a few businesses on Yelp, and... Pros: They responded quickly to my Yelp request with an actual estimate (only company who did) They stuck to their estimated schedule, arriving right in the middle of it Devin is an awesome guy and a super skilled installer who knows what he's doing and more importantly: cares about doing it well! He was really friendly, worked quickly (took about 90 mins altogether for everything), took care of all the little details, cleaned up the area when he was done, and walked me through all the operations of our new door opener at the end. We chatted a bit as he worked and had a pretty good time while still getting everything done blazingly fast. Easy Open accepted Zelle for payment which is super convenient for those of us who never have cash and don't know where their checkbook is! Cons: None, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone who asks. I'll definitely be calling them when we have any more garage door related needs!

Shout out to Max from easy open door company who fixed our garage door opener this morning. He was…read moreset to arrive between 8 AM and 10 AM and he was there at 8:10 AM. He got right to work on the problem I had called about. After he figured out the problem and fixed it, he then looked at my springs, and rollers, and adjusted the door and lubricated everything! I didn't realize that it could work so smoothly! The price was exactly what they said over the phone and I am very happy!

He looked at my pictures and identified the problem right away! I will definitely consider this company if any problem arises in the future due to the great interaction I had with Stephen!

Really does hurt me to write a bad review when this company has such positive reviews, and i had…read moreall the confidence of helping out a lesser reviewed company in hopes that they would be more honest and more reasonable for pricing. The one consideration i could give them was that they were some of the few companies that could give me a quote prior to the visit to give me more confidence about pricing. Some backstory, i had a super bad buckling problem on my garage. Every time i would close my garage it would buckle so bad to the point where the garage door would refuse to close, and even to the point where it would close and then re-open by itself. The company sent out a technician who really had no business in the garage repair industry. He literally said "I have no idea why this is happening". He then informed me that they perform a $180 "tune up" to resolve the issue, but he spent the last hour trying to troubleshoot and still had no idea why it was happening. He sprayed some cleaner on my springs, and applied some grease on the rail, lowered the max open angle of my garage door and said "this is the best I can do". He told me it would get worse, and the next best option is to replace the garage door motor which would cost an additional $350 of labor on top of the $180 i paid. Basically i paid $180 for absolutely nothing, the garage door issue would progressively get worse over the next 30 days after the visit. I called back All American Garage Door, spoke to Tiffany whom i believe is one of the dispatchers, she informed me that she was sorry that it wasnt resolved the day i paid and i had requested for some kind of discount for the next garage door motor repair, she said "First let me talk to the guy we sent out and then ill call you back as soon as possible, let me call him right now". I waited the entire day for a phone call and nothing. I even waited 7 more day for a phone call and nothing. I called back a week later and Tiffany apologized with the "Oh im sorry it fell through the cracks" "Hes not available today so ill try to get a hold of him another day". At this point im livid. It seems like the company is dodging me after taking my money and then doesnt want to take accountability of their garage technicians who have no real technical experience and then conveniently forgot to call me back after i was a legitimate customer who had prior business with them that they could not fulfill my repair. I later call a different business, Bradbury Garage Door Repair. They sent out someone else who informed me that my springs are actually what provides the strength to lower and raise the garage doors , and upon replacement it completely resolved my issue and smoothened out the result. They told me that the garage door motor is actually still pretty young and doesnt need a replacement, and showed me that the last garage door company (All American Garage) was just trying to get more labor out of me without knowing the real issue that was going on. I was also charged $225 with Bradbury Garage Door initially for a motor replacement versus the $350 with All American Garage. A massive price difference. I ended up paying way less going with another company that was more honest and more technically knowledgeable about their work, and the technician was able to show me exactly on the spot why it was not working the way it should have. All in all, i am pretty disappointed i had paid $180 (plus tip) to All American Garage Door, just to have it wasted for nothing. Tiffany is a poor excuse of a garage door dispatcher and really should organize her duties so that things like this dont "fall through the crack" in the future for other customers. Overall i would rate this company a 1/5 star for my experience with them. I wish i didnt have to write this review but i felt like it was necessary to have an honest review. If you are looking to do business here, make sure they dont send over Paul Swezey because thats the name of the garage door repair technician who had no real technical knowledge, he really had no idea what he was doing and kept repeating that he has no idea what to do. Attached is an image to prove i had a service completed with All American Garage Door.
