By the time we got to our new apartment, they were all prepared ahead of us, much to our amazement. We simply had to unlock our door, and how nice was that! I highly recommend SD Mini Movers! I needed some items moved last minute and they were able to squeeze me in when I called that same morning. I had a small moving job that wouldn't take very long, but many companies charge for a 3 hour minimum, which I definitely didn't need. I estimated the total job would take between 1-2 hours. Anthony and Ryan arrived around 1:15 and were friendly, thorough, and professional - and just generally nice people. They were careful with my fragile items and took time to wrap some things in blankets that they thought needed protecting. They had rolling carts and all the necessary items needed for moving my items efficiently. They got the job done in less than 2 hours. I would definitely use SD Movers again. Amazing experience. First time used them to just load up my uhaul truck. Anthony and Teddy were very professional on time, good personality and worked every minute from beginning to end. Hired these guys to do a move for my wife and I. We had a 2 bed condo on the 2nd floor (with very large furniture, TV's, tables etc) with no elevator. they took extra care to wrap everything up, and worked well as a team to get all my stuff carefully to my new house. They saved me from today's headache and first world problem: My brand new sofa was delivered but wouldn't fit going up the stairs in my townhome. I frantically called a few movers to get it hoisted to my balcony and through the narrow sliding door opening. I really needed this done today because my sofa was left outside my front door and I was worried it could rain! I was on the phone with Tim providing measurements and sending photos and he was able to determine they could help me, gave me a reasonable quote, and they showed up just a couple hours later! Tim, Brock, and Anthony were amazing, super professional and friendly, and super efficient getting the sofa up in my living room in less than 10 minutes! They even went beyond my expectations and put the legs on my new couch, (had to do a little doctoring for one of them), and even disposed the sofa packaging for me. The correspondence via text message was prompt and accurate. They reached out the day before to confirm and again when they were on the way. We don't have a ton of stuff but we did relocate from a 3-story home to a 2-story home, these guys had their work cut out for them. I'm looking for a moving company for a small 1 BR apmt & the move is only 17 miles away. I came across this company on Craigslist. I spoke w/Taylor who was extremely friendly & pleasant. The reason for the 3 stars at this point is that in their add it did indicate that they wasn't any hidden fees. It just indicated that it's $95/2 pro movers. However, Taylor confirmed there actually is another fee of $95 for the truck & moving supplies (blankets, dollies, ...). So, again Taylor was extremely pleasant, but it's a bit disappointing that there was actually an additional fee than what was advertised on Craigslist. I did mention that to Taylor. He apologized that the truck fee wasn't posted. (It's getting frustrating as I feel I'm constantly dealing w/additional fees w/moving companies, even though, like in this instance, they mention there aren't any hidden fees. We shall see how the move goes. I'm hopeful, just wish the rates were as advertised & all charges were listed... or maybe at the very least, they remove the "NO HIDDEN FEES" aspect of the post. read more
