I hired Anthony to move a home with minimal items. Him and his mover took an extremely long time to move a sparsely furnished home. I have a staging business and have used numerous movers who move much faster than him. Mind you he gets paid hourly so the longer they take the more they get. I paid him what he charged. When it came time to get a W-9 from him because he was paid over $600 I received no response from him, even after reaching out to him several times to get the signed form. For running a moving business he gets zero stars in my book. read more

This was a great experience, from the first contact to finishing the project. We were really stressed about our cross country move and loading our 16 ft. PODS, but Anthony is very knowledgeable and was able to ease our concerns . Anthony and Nick are a great team. You want someone who understand how to unload and load trucks, how they operate as well as how to maximize your storage space. *As well as being careful with your items.* They work with you, not against and were very fast and efficient. Amazing hard workers! We were heading out-of-state and needed help loading the rental truck. We had done a lot of the prep work (boxing and such), but we needed the truck packed well to fit it all in. Charlie and Sully showed up on time (1) and were ready to work immediately - no stall time (2). After scoping out the job, they started the job at hand. One was wrapping and prepping to prevent furniture damage (3) and one was packing the truck. Seriously, I don't think they could have packed another shoebox into the truck (4). I had underestimated the time needed, but there was no way they could've moved any faster (5). Fast. Friendly. Efficient. Worth EVERY penny for their work (6). We weren't charged extra for living "so far out" in Alpine (7). And it was clear that they were there to help us in every way that they could (8). I don't even hesitate giving five stars! Anthony and Nick were absolutely fantastic. I hired him to load some pods for me for a move from California to Idaho. My husband passed away and so my daughter and I had to pack up 25 years of "stuff" to get moved. I started to get really stressed out that I didn't order enough pods. I was shocked when Anthony was able to fit most everything into one pod, leaving me with about 80% vacant space in the second pod. I was so excited that I started piling a couple more things on his list load in there now that I had all this extra room. He was on time, professional, courteous, and took so much stress off my plate. They packed up my TVs for me, did a walk-through with me to make sure that they understood the job and then another one at the end to make sure that they hadn't forgotten anything. Sitter's movers are amazing. Selling a house is very stressful and the added packing and loading just adds more stress. We called Anthony at Sitter's and his customers service skills were so calming and he reassured us everything was in good hands. My wife said Anthony really has a calming way about him when you need it most. We only needed some labor to load pods. Anthony discusses our options and he came up with how many movers based on loading only. His prices are very competitive and you can't beat his customer service. The movers arrived on the specified day and they were all extremely polite and professional. The lead, Ira, was a magician when it came to using every inch of space of the pods. His helpers quickly wrapped and brought out boxes and furniture to him while he continually packed the pods. They didn't waste any valuable customer paying time. I used this company twice. The first time we moved locally the two movers we had did great job so we decided to use them again. The second time we used them we moved about an hour and half outside of San Diego. We were moving a one bedroom apartment. The movers they sent to do a bigger move were inexperienced, took from 8am to 7pm to complete the job (when we were quoted it would only take about 6 hours) and RUINED our furniture and television. One of the movers hit our dresser against the hallway wall and made a hole in it, our landlord had to patch it up. Then the second mover hit our dresser against the kitchen counter, taking a chunk of wood from our dresser. Our items were also not carefully packed in the truck and our new living room table, chairs and other furniture were left with scratches and marks. The worst part was that when moving and setting up our television only one mover moved and set up the television by himself. Our television is pretty big and should've been carried by both movers. The next day after moving we noticed there was a large crack in the corner of the television (which was not there before and we even took photos of the television and furniture before the move). We were really upset and were told we would only be reimbursed for $50 of which we could not even repair the television for or buy even a new or used television. Moving is stressful and it is even more stressful when you have to worry about your items getting ruined especially when you are hiring professionals to move your items for you. We were disappointed with our experience. read more

This company was way better then expected. Their price seemed very low compared to their competitors but when the work started they were truly fantastic. They first showed up early with a smile and sharp looking uniform. Very Curtis and began work right away without stopping till the job was done. The loaded my U-Haul in 3 hours and fit the boxes in a way I could not have done my self. Was worried the truck I rented was too small but they made everything fit. Wow! A friend recommended them, and they did an amazing job. We had a LOT of stuff, and the 4-man team worked like Navy Seals to get our stuff wrapped, packed, loaded, and unloaded at our new house. Matthew and his team were courteous, kind, and very professional. It did take a whole day, but we had a lot of stuff. Anthony, the owner, will estimate what you need, and his company will give you any level of service you need. You can get the VIP service (which we did) which includes packing, unpacking and everything, materials and alll, or you can do it piecemeal (you provide boxes, packing, trucks, etc., and they provide labor.) Charlie and Damien showed about 25 mins early with moving blankets, Dolly's, wrap etc. They were very friendly, professional and hard working. To start, we were referred by hire a helper through PODS. We were told by hire a helper that it would take 4 movers 3 hours to load. As it turned out it took double that consequently doubling our price. When the owner notified us how much it was and to authorize hire a helper to pay them, he added a small release of liability to the authorization. We were in the process of actually moving that day so we didn't think to scrutinize the small print but we wanted to make sure they were paid so my husband signed the authorization, disconnected his computer and the pods moved us out. When we arrived in NC, our couch was ruined due to improper loading and the sitters owner forwarded a copy of my husband's authorization to pay. Pretty sneaky. Sad, I'm pretty sure he carries insurance, accidents do happen and now we, both in our mid 70's have to buy a new couch. Be aware. read more

I used Sitter's to unload some heavy furniture from a PODS container. They did an outstanding job. They arrived on time and did a great job. We had one very difficult armoire to move upstairs through a narrow stair case and up over a wall. I don't think any other movers could have done this because there was a lot of thinking and maneuvering involved to get this furniture upstairs and through the door of the room, and all without any damage to anything. Other movers would have given up or destroyed the furniture and house in the process. They treated me, my house, and my furniture with consideration and respect. I have had many experiences with movers that were for the most part sickening. These guys have turned the tables on what is usually experienced in a move. Can't speak highly enough about Sitter's Movers. Had two guys, Kenny and Bronson, come and move my apartment today and they were phenomenal. They treated my stuff with the same respect they would treat their own, if not better. They were quick, professional, and extremely courteous. They showed up on time (in the morning this is preferred to early), were professionally dressed (YES taking pride in your appearance as a mover should matter, you represent yourself and the company), and were exceptionally nice (they took time to learn our names, kept it professional, but it was like we had friends helping us move). These two gentlemen have set a standard of how a move should go in my opinion. So much so that I even went back to negatively review a DIFFERENT company I had used in the past. Ricky and Bronson showed me how this should be done right and uncovered what the OTHER company had done so terribly wrong. The price ended up coming in under quote because they got through the process so fast. They didn't take breaks (yes the OTHER company took breaks every hour, that I paid for) and got to work right away. The owner runs a great business model that appeals to any mover. They offer a range; from full service to help as needed. We were able to move the little stuff by ourselves so these guys came in for the heavy lifting that I couldn't manage with just my wife and I. This company perfectly met our needs without any pressure to up sell us just to line their own pockets. They were not only clean, professional, cheerful, and nice but blew me away with how they were able to pack every square inch of that damn POD I had rented to store my things.
