I like to wear pretty dresses with sun hats and go to tea parties but I also love to jump on my Harley and hit the road with absolutely no destination in mind just to have the wind in my hair and feel the sun warm my face. Unfotunately the first part makes maintaining my baby monster a little hard. Happily I can report to you Gina (my baby monster) and I have found a place we can come to get work done that I trust. A few places I've called or gone to have been not so nice. I have gotten charged a ridiculous amount for stupid things and yeah I may have broken out in tears after but hey it was a learning lesson..... ask how much before you drop your beloved bike off to get work done. Something you agreed upon at an earlier date may not be the same you will pay the day of service. This was definitely not the case here at Full Throttle Powersports! Mike sold me the brake pads and quoted me a price if I wanted them installed. I was looking at them like they were aliens....I guess people put them on themselves! Can you imagine me trying to fix brakes, yeah neither can I...maybe some day...... I've done crazier things. Luckily he had time the next day. I came to the shop around 10:30 and told him I wasn't in a rush to take his time so I went shopping and had a lovely lunch. Came back in time to bug poor Mike while he finished up the bike. The shop is stocked and if what your bike needs is not in stock, they can order it and have it delivered quickly. My Yamaha Tmax was diagnosed by FBC and they are not able to repair it. I called FTP and talked to Mike he said he could take on the challenge. He was very honest about not having worked on this model before but would be willing to take a look at it. I had FBC towed it there and after a week, Mike called and said he would be able to fix it but it will take some time and would take a bit longer to order some parts. After a couple of months, he called and said that it was done. I rode it home and then again the next day. Smokes came out of the exhaust like it was on fire. I called Mike and he said to bring it in and he will look at it. Three weeks later, he called and said he got it fixed. I have been riding on it for a few months and have had no problems with it. Thank you Mike for your perseverance and effort. I love riding my Tmax and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend as Mike is very honest and diligent. He is very good at what he does. Fail. The only word I need to describe this place. Although I never bought a product from them, this review is based solely on a phone conversation with two different associates. I first called them to ask for tire prices for my bike. As well as ask if they were in stock and if they would match prices from other competitors. When the guy first answered the phone it was very unprofessional (which I don't really mind) and didn't seem to want to help. After I asked him he just tossed the phone to someone else and I had to repeat all my questions over. The main thing that bugged me was the second guy would not give me a straight answer on prices and said "oh the front would be around $95 and the rear about $130 probably" What kind of answer is that?!? Then I asked if they were in stock and he said to stop by and check that they were busy. WTF? Final part was me asking if they would match price because these prices are outrageous for a small ninja 250 tire. He said "I don't think so". The incompetence of this employee totally degrades this place. I will never attempt to buy anything from here. I'll stick with my usual sources. read more

Time to replace the tires on my Daytona 675 and since I was given a set when I bought my bike I started to look around for prices. Some of these places are outrageous! Rocket Motorcycles wanted $75 PER WHEEL! For a moment I thought I was at a Ducati/Aprilia dealership. A friend of mine suggested I check out Full Throttle. I checked the Google maps....a mile and a half from me? Sweet! Loaded up the wheels and tires and head over. Mike is on the tire machine finishing up a set for another customer, and I'm next in line. Everyone there is laid back and Mike is friendly. I BS'd with him while he was mounting and balancing my tires. Less than 10 minutes after walking in he hands me my wheels and says $40. It was awesome! $40 for both tires mounted and balanced. You can't beat that. They're also open late (8pm I think) which is great. They do stock some parts, and oil, etc as well. All in all, a great local place to go if you don't want to be a victim of insane price gouging at dealerships. read more

its a good place, just very under staffed so the turn around time is pretty bad. Which is what you get with small shops, but with small shops you get higher quality work and real bike guys not like the queers at fun bike center. I am pretty sure they troubleshot my bike down to a starter incorrectly which kind of sucks because it was a spendy loss, but we all make mistakes and i am not saying i wouldnt of made the same wrong call, or if it was even wrong. I will continue to go here though and still tell my friends to go there, they seem to have some sweet things going on with stand up jet ski's which is hard to come by around here, everyone likes to ride lame sit down waverunners in san diego. could be a really good shop if they employed some more people but i get the feel they are trying to go for and it works well for them. read more

The owner Michael is a good friend of mine but I started out as a customer FIRST! I got back into riding and lived near him and I had heard he was good and honest mechanic so I started taking my bike in there. I was shocked that he didn't recommend a bunch of crap that I didn't need, he was friendly, fast and a genuinely good guy. This was about 5 years ago and I have been taking my bikes to him ever since. Over time we became friends and I have spent countless hours in that shop it is basically my man-cave now. He sponsors a Meetup riding group and we use his lot for clinics, BBQ's and anything else you can think of. I have referred a massive amount of people there the it is VERY RARE that someone was not pleased with their service. I have literally seen Michael take parts off of one of his motorcycles and install it for customers who needed it ASAP- I have also seen him take his pickup and tie-downs and go pick up stranded motorcycles and bring them into the shop, FREE.
