Quaint little bar in the heart of Pilsen so I knew my friends and I were going to get some authentic Mexican flavors and it sure did hit! I always like to taste the quality of the Pastor at a Mexican spot and this was honestly some of the highest quality pastor I've had in a long time. Fair warning it did have a quick kick of heat but didn't linger which was nice because it wasn't overbearing at all. It actually had a gradual build up and tapered down nicely leaving a good after feeling. The guac had excellent flavor and texture. Not too creamy, not too chunky but just right. And then hen the sopes came out. My first time eating sopes and I appreciated the fact that they had a 3 sopes flight so I could try the different toppings. I've been to this señoritas cantinas location twice now and it's been amazing each time! The fish tacos are so good! And the margs are tasty and a good size for the price. The menu has plenty of options for everyone to enjoy. The servers are very attentive and kind, which is always a plus. We just so happened to drop by for lunch at Señoritas Cantina and oh my goodness!! It was the best decision ever! The food was delicious! I had the sopes flight with Barbacoa and it was soooo yummy! The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly. It basically melted in my mouth! I also tried some of my friend's stuffed quesadilla and it was also as delicious! Senoritas Cantina is among the most popular places in Pilsen. A lot of the classic favorites one can get. The prices aren't that great but are better than some other ripoffs. Crazy it can get at times but that's a good sign of course. It's one of those modern takes on classic Mexican food. There's many who may be getting tired of all these but this is actually one of the better ones. A lot of the familiar items. There's of course burritos and tacos. It's about $12 for the Golden Rush Margarita. This is made with French Oak tequila, pineapple juice, and vanilla. Food has options for plant based eating. It's about $6 for the Vegan Tacos. We got a few of these. Filled with a plant based version of chorizo. These still have the classic spiciness. Great atmosphere and the food is pretty good mostly. I always have a good time every time I come here! The service is always 10/10 and the ambiance is very consistently warm and inviting. I stopped in with a friend for an early dinner and Senoritas delivered greatness, per usual. My friend ordered the flatuas which are chicken with avocado, salsa, lettuce, pico de gallo, queso fresco and sour cream. Such a beautiful presentation and so very tasty as well. I ordered the Senoritas burrito. It's made with rice, beans, sour cream, cheese, mixed cabbage and pico de gallo. It comes with a side of fries and they are also some of my favs! It comes with your choice of protein and I choose the barbacoa . It had the juiciest, most tender pieces of meat. VERY well seasoned! Honestly, I wouldn't be mad if you guys did some type of fries topped with barbacoa. Yes, you have the nachos, but fries hit different lol. From the outside and inside, this place is very cute, colorful, and well-decorated. It can be a little crowded, but there was no wait for our ~1pm Sunday lunch. The atmosphere inside is pretty loud and lively. We started with an order of Guacamole Picoso, which was okay. The chips were very crispy, but a bit too oily-- to the point that it was interfering with the chip flavor. The guac was pretty good. I then got the Fajitas with sunny side up eggs. Especially for the price, the portions are pretty small. I also expected the fajitas to come with tortillas, but it unfortunately didn't so it was just chorizo, eggs, and veggies. I did enjoy the fajitas a lot though-- the veggies and chorizo were perfectly grilled and well-seasoned, the eggs were well-cooked, and the burnt chards at the bottom of the skillet were delicious to eat. My friend also got the fajita skillet with chicken and similarly enjoyed it. Another friend got some vegan tacos, which he thought were decent. They do have a solid and distinct vegan menu section, though it's pretty pricey-- most of the items were more expensive than the non-vegan items. My main qualm was that while the staff were friendly, the service was quite slow-- we waited for over an hour for our food to arrive. My friend and I came here for a quick casual dinner on a weekday night. The ambience is lively. I love the decor and the colors in here, it's kitschy and unique. We started with a round of polomas. They came in clay cups with a tajin rim and were very well made. For food we split steak tacos and chicken flautas. The flautas are some of the best flautas I've ever had. The chicken inside was juicy and moist, and they were fried to perfection without being too dry. I especially loved the green sauce that they came in, it tasted great and paired really well. The steak tacos were also very well-made, a generous portion of meat. Although I will say that, even though the seasoning was on point, I found the meat a little on the chewy side. The first enjoyable moment was the drink menu...I got the Catrina with Dulce Vida Tequila, Rumchata, Pumpkin Spice creamer and Agave syrup. It put me in the mood of the season...Dia de los Muertos at the beginning of November. Hubby got a local beer...a Casa Humilde Marina lager in the special Pilsen Fest can. I know nobody cares about that kind of thing, but I do. I got the elote and the traditional ceviche (that came with a half avocado that was perfectly ripe) along with an order of guacamole. This is a good place for drinks and they do serve vegan options. Food presentation is always nice but the quality of the food varies. The first time I went I had the best spicy guac, but the next time I visited it tasted very plain. They do try to accommodate when you bring something to their attention. And wow, it reminds me of the cantina in Texas that I use to visit with my grandpa when he would meet up with his friends for drinks. Yes, back into the day it was allowed. Of course, now that's a no no but I do believe you can do it here as it is still a restaurant per se' also. I had the Cucumber monitor but wanted a little kick so the bartender (Tita) muddled some jalapeños and that was the perfect setting for the next few drinks. It's quite an impressive venue as it's not a big place, but the quality of the drinks is spot on. We were in PIlsen looking for places to eat and this one had been recommended to us. It was a cold day and the wait was going to be 30 minutes but they were very gracious to let us use the bathroom. By the time we came back out, they had bar seating that opened up and we grabbed it. Overall the vibe, the service, the drinks, the food were all great! A friend and I went on our own bar crawl in Pilsen for Cinco de Mayo and this was our 2nd stop. Now it is quite small so they were definitely packed, but luckily when it's 2 people it's easier to get into places quicker - if ya didn't know lol. Anyway... we noticed the deal of the day (Friday) was a $8 Paloma so that's what we got! We also ordered tacos. This is where we wish communication would've been better. She ordered barbacoa & I carne asada - each order comes w 2 tacos. Hers were $9 and mine were $10. On the menu it stated that rice & beans were an add on for $3. We were given the tacos and then the guy gave us a side of rice & beans and we were confused. We told a waiter that we didn't order them (we didn't have just 1 - everyone was pretty much helping around where they could) but the lady said "they come with it". We took that as maybe there's a deal today? We got the bill and nope it wasn't a deal lol well i guess if you did want to order some they were only $2 rather than $3 haha. The issue was that we didn't touch it, we didn't want it, so why give it to us and charge us anyway? But no big deal - i just like to know what I'm getting/payin for. The beans & rice were cold by the way. The drink to be honest was a 3/10. I tasted all cheap liquor and barely any other flavors - maaybe a hint of lime. Service was really exceptional here and we are glad to have it in the neighborhood. They have a new sidewalk patio that's a great choice for good weather. We ate inside and the ambiance is fun and decor is nice. There are daily drink specials and Tuesdays are bottomless tacos (with drink minimums). We had the paloma special and it was very tasty. Chips and salsa are complimentary, but the salsa was pretty bland - salt was definitely needed. We also had taco dinners and did some swapping and sharing. They don't allow you to mix and match proteins which is a bummer. The fish tacos were very good. The Al pastor was really dry, but the seasoning was tasty. If the meat wasn't so tough we would have enjoyed those more. We will be back to sample more of the menu! read more

After great experience over the past 3-4 years, the past couple times have gotten a bit negative I must say. Most recently went in on the fly before an event. There were a few up charges that made the menu seem confusing. The drinks were extraordinarily weak. If they were super cheap I would not say anything but it's almost laughable.
