    Grilled Octopus

The restaurant felt airy and inviting, with large open windows and tasteful decor that almost made it feel like dining by the beach--if only the weather had cooperated that day. Our server was friendly, relaxed, and efficient, which added to the overall experience. The food was pretty good overall, but the corn was undercooked...a basic, avoidable mistake. At that price point, especially given the smaller portion sizes, I expect the execution to be spot-on. It's a good thing we used a Groupon, because the quality and portion size relative to the price felt a bit unreasonable. The deal included a bottle of wine listed at $90, far above its actual value ($15 to be exact) and unfortunately, that inflated price is what we ended up tipping on.

Everything was delicious. The seafood tasted fresh, and the espresso was excellent quality. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, which made the experience even better. Our waitress was fantastic. Attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The only small downside was that the side salad was a bit unusual, and there weren't many options for sides. That said, the food overall was very enjoyable and the prices were reasonable. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area.

    Blue point Oysters (1/2 dozen)

I was in town with my colleague for a meeting in Brooklyn. Realized we were staying in Queens/flushing so I reached out to my friend to see if she was free for dinner and Great Neck was close to us, so we met her for dinner here. We started with some drinks I got a lychee martini and Lefty was our server. Good dude, he basically had everything we needed whenever we were running low on anything. I loved the blue point oysters, they had horseradish and cocktail sauce with some Tabasco, fresh and briny so good! We had the grilled octopus and the popcorn shrimp for apps. The shrimp were definitely larger than popcorn size lol. Sauce was amazing to dip in too! The octopus was so good, tender and charred with pickled onions to balance the flavors together. My entree was the lobster pasta. It wasn't super rich, but filling and plenty of lobster and noodles. My friend had the whole branzino with roasted beets, and my colleague had the jumbo shrimp grilled with fries. Everyone loved the meal. Service was excellent and the food as well. I wish I was here more often I'd eat an entire meal of the oysters. One minor ding, they weren't cut cleanly from the shell but it's a small thing and I'm not adverse to working for my meal! Support small businesses!

We were in the mood for lobster bisque. We came across the sea bar in Great Neck. The lobster bisque was really tasty with a nice amount of Lobster. I had a mai tai which was very good. The hisbicus margarira was very good as well. The service was on point and the ambience was chill. I will definitely be back very local for me.

The place was very nice. We got the grilled octopus and the special. It was whole black bass with grilled mixed vegetables as the side. The fish was very good as was the octopus. seasoned and cooked well. The side of mixed vegetables was pretty small. Just 1 thin piece of 5 different vegetables. The staff was very attentive. We were the only people there so that could've been why. There was a happy hour but they don't tell us till we finished our meal and I heard someone say something about it. They showed us the happy hour menu after we finished eating. That defeated the purpose of showing us the menu. Then they said we wasn't sitting at the bar that's why they don't show it to us. They should've told us about it as they gave us the menu. I was bummed about that.

Small restaurant- reservations definitely recommended. My son & I love seafood and I think we found our spot. We've tried the seafood plateau, tuna tartare, branzino, snapper, lobster pasta, mussels, hummus dip, roasted beets, fingerling potatoes and the baklava dessert. Everything was very delicious- loved the oysters & flavorful mussels in broth, the fishes were well-seasoned, tho the pasta and potatoes could use a little more seasoning. Also, extremely slow kitchen service when it comes to the entrées due to insufficient grills but at least our waitress, Vanessa was sweet, apologetic & honest about it. Overall, worth trying out if you're in the area & looking for good, fresh seafood.

Service was awesome the person who helped me was so sweet. Downside to this night there was a weird smell inside this place and I think it was the cleaning products mixed with the smell of food so I decided not to sit down and just order take out. The way this place is presented online you would think there was going to be something that I had to come back here for but I was disappointed nothing special just ok. Parking is good because it's located across from a shopping center.

Okay, this place is a gem, This is my second time coming here and everything is well prepared, fresh and delicious. They start your meal off with fresh grilled pita/bread and a yummy hummus. To start I had the chargrilled octopus, very good. For entree- Last time I got the full bronzino, so good. This time I got the lobster roll with fries (I asked to sub for truffle fries and there was no upcharge!) They also have a very good steamed broccoli as a side with some sundried tomato's. I ended with the Fig parfait which was light and not too sweet. The place isn't big, so I do recommend a reservation. I will be back!

Lobster roll isn't as meaty as last time and too much mayonnaise. Fish soup terrific. Lemon sole nice and broccoli vibrant green retaining that inviting crunch.

I went here for late lunch. I had for starters the chicken wings and the popcorn shrimp. It was sooooo salty I was afraid to order anything else. I ordered the soup and specifically asked for no salt and that was ok. The drinks were good. Place is small & cozy.

Seafood plateau was good portion for the price. Ambience was really. We've also tired the squid and calamari which was good. The lobster pasta is a must get!

The food here was pretty good, it's a cute little spot with a full bar and few tables. Parking is a little hard but definitely Worth going. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. The hummus and pita starter was soooo good. One of the best hummus I've had, couldn't stop eating it. The pita was perfectly hot and crispy! Truffle fries were delicious crispy and fresh. Just the right amount of truffle and salt. Wasn't a big fan of the calamari, texture wise, was not a fan. Little bit chewy and the breading was not crispy at all. The octopus was tender but the sauce was a little too sour. We also got an entree each. Delicious all in all and would certainly come back. They also have a great happy hour menu.

I got a Groupon gift for my birthday. It was a prefix meal deal consisting 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and a bottle of wine. Never used Groupon for a restaurant before, so we were a bit skeptical at first. First thing as soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Kristi. She is very attentive, warm, and friendly. She explained to us the menu and how Groupon deal works. She recommended great choices. Food, service, ambiance were all great! Very grateful to be able to dine in at Sea Bar and will definitely go back!

They are attentive and courteous, even when they are super busy. They expanded their menu since they renovated the interior. I still stick for the classic Greek fare like chicken souvlaki and gyros. Highly highly recommend! Owned by a lovely family!

Omelet & Home Fries desperately needed seasoning on all levels. Chicken and Lemon Rice Soup was adequately flavored with a nice pucker but the Olive Oil used was flowery and overpowered the delicacy of this soup. The Grilled Chicken Salad (lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes) on it's own was DELISH. The Caesar dressing that was different but edible, a little on the sweet and thin side. Thankfully, had some Homemade Caesar at home to compensate. Also, had a TEC (Turkey, freshly sliced off the bone, Egg (scrambled), and Cheese (Cheddar) on a large, pillowy roll. Enjoyable. Service...1 person put a SOUR taste in our mouths. Was immediately greeted by everyone, except the older lady who was supposed to take our order. We LITERALLY stood in front of the register for almost 10 minutes, while she greeted and helped EVERYONE around, on the side & behind us. An older jovial man finally greeted us and was apologetic and swift. If it wasn't for the long morning and afternoon we had, we would've taken our money elsewhere! It stayed busy and packed so get there early. They do try to be efficient when seating. Overall, we could give them another opportunity to see if the "selective service" by that 1 team member was a one-off! Street parking.
