We came to this restaurant twice within 1 week. Our first visit was for lunch during the week. We had the restaurant to ourselves the majority of the time but the wait staff was still very attentive. We started with the Alaskan snow claws, sauted, which was soo good. The crab meat comes out very easy. The flavor was A+. I rated it #2 behind Pappadeaux's crab claws. We then shared the Lobster roll that comes with 2 rolls that were perfect size for 2 people. The roll bun was soft which makes a difference when eating lobster rolls. We came back on a Friday night and it was a completely different vibe. The inside and outside were packed. We were able to get seated outside which worked better for us since they serve hookah here so if you're like us and don't like to inhale hookah the outside seating is perfect. We ordered the same thing from our lunch visit + wings (Sweet Thai chili & Honey garlic) since they had a $6 wing special. We were surprised that the lobster roll price was the same at dinner as it was during lunch. We really enjoyed both visits and plan to return for future date lunch/dinner. read more

We decided to check this out for lunch on our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised! IMO - this place is really under-rated on here. Their lunch menu is really affordable with $6 apps and only $30 for TWO lobster rolls?? WILD. All in including margaritas was just over $50 and honestly that's a price you're not getting anywhere else. Enjoyed a later dinner at Sea Salt with some friends. This place offers some of the best parts of Atlanta eateries - free parking and no cover at a restaurant. Located at The District At Howell Mill, it's in good company with neighboring retail stores, a gym, Teriyaki cuisine and a Mexican restaurant. Not to mention the newly opened Wayfair store downstairs in what was Walmart. There's a bouncer at the entry checking bags and ID. This is Atlanta after all. The interior is decorated with all the typical trimmings - neon signage, grass wall, ambient lighting, lots of TVs, a nice sized bar and lovely upholstered seating. Service was top tier with servers checking in regularly, clearing plates, providing condiments and the food came out quickly. We weren't in the mood for entrees so we had a variety of small plates - Sea Salt wings (lemon pepper), calamari and a fried seafood sampler (fried fish, shrimp, calamari, crab balls & fries). Everything was very tasty and we paired it with a bottle of white wine. The DJ was playing all new & Old School music - a mix of hip hop and R&B. I saw neighboring patrons enjoying hookah, cocktails and pasta dishes. There's a generous outside patio as well. They had the fire pit going on this evening. I'll definitely make my way back for a happy hour and their lobster roll. They also do brunch and daily specials like all-you-can-eat oysters or crab legs on certain days. Great customer service, we came on Thursday for the oyster special. Just a heads up it's not the real shredded Parmesan cheese it's like the artificial crumbles. The drinks were delicious and the calamari was also tasteful. If you know real chargrilled oysters I wouldn't recommend coming here for them but for sure the drinks and calamari. Went to Sea Salt Restaurant & Bar for Wednesday happy hour with my girls and it did NOT disappoint! This was my first time, but definitely won't be my last. The happy hour deals were on point -- $8 drinks, $6 apps, and the hookah for $15 was the real MVP. Smooth pull, flavorful, and priced just right! We had a party of 5 and sampled a little bit of everything. The food came out fast, fresh, and HOT -- just how I like it. So my daughter graduates from GSU & we throw her a celebration at Sea Salt cause she said they had a nice brunch. I must say this was an excellent call by her. The ambiance is incredible nice location in the shopping center with a lot of parking. We had a rather large party (about 15). All the food we ordered was fresh and tasted great! Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was amazing and so helpful as we tried figuring out everything we wanted to order from drinks to entrees. She gave us great recommendations and it worked out. Sea salt gets 5/5!! And I can finally say a restaurant in the Atlanta Metro area get a five out of five from me. I went Monday, January 27 around 12 thirtyish. It was happy hour that was my goal. Was to get there for the happy hour menu and I can say it was well worth it. They have $10 hookah. $8 lemon drop and margaritas. I have the chicken and waffles the hotlanta way (just spicy sauce on the chicken). The waffles were great. The chicken was nice and hot. I will say I will not order that next time I go I would order another menu item. My partner had the steak and eggs as you can see in the picture below and he loved it. It was a great size steak as you can see eggs were cooked to his liking and the potatoes were great. We also had the char grilled oysters. Those were amazing. I wish I've ordered the 12 instead of the six, but it was good. And then we also had the shrimp toast. The shrimp toast was not my favorite. We could've skipped it, but it was only happy hour menu and it was only six dollars as you can see in a picture you get like a garlic toast with like occasion sauce with a shrimp on top it's great to try but honestly, you don't need it. Just finished dining at Seasalt Restaurant and Bar and it's definitely a hidden gem off the beaten path. The atmosphere was great, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. For appetizers, we had the lobster bites and calamari--both were excellent. My friend ordered the shrimp linguini, and I went with the snapper fillet entrée. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The drinks were also on point. Special shoutout to our hostess, Auidah (hope I got that right)--she was outstanding and really added to the experience. My only downside: no military discount, and I'm not a fan of the automatic service charge being added as the tip. I consider myself a generous tipper, so it takes away from the experience a bit when that's already decided for you, especially when there's still an option to add more on top. Food was all good, no complaints on any dish. Drinks are too pricey, $5 bottles of water not Evian or Fiji even Voss is crazy. I'd like to try sitting outside next time which is was offered but turned down by the birthday girl. I'd try the brunch next time though. Our server Breia was decent but messed up our check split. Let's talk about Sea Salt! I've seen it but tonight was the first time I was able to experience the restaurant. One word, Yasssssssssssss. LoL!!!! As this sits next to La Parrilla, you know the parking is scarce, however, there is parking. Upon finding a parking spot, I headed to the restaurant. The outside is simple and has a clean faced look. There is a cute couch outside the door so if you are waiting for people and it's a nice day, you can take a seat outside. Walking in, the vibe is super chill. The location has ample space and has a clean design aesthetic. The colors have a balance of upbeat and calm all in one and present the perfect tone for a friends night or a date night. Entering the door fully, I turned to the hostess area and was greeted with a huge smile and pleasant welcome in. I provided her the party name and as I was there for a birthday celebration, we had to wait until 80% of the group was present. No worries as I understand the need for the majority TK be there as there is a 90 minute table time limit. The group was all there within minutes and we were seated immediately. Once seated, our waitress came up to the table immediately and introduced herself. Along with the introduction she advised she would be bringing us some water and would be right back... by the time she got back, she delivered our water and was ready to take our drink and appetizer orders. I love this process as it was very streamlined and left no gaps. The drinks and appetizers arrived with a good time frame. By then, the waitress was also refilling our waters. I love her efficiency. She allowed us a few more moments then came around to take our food orders. As I was hungry but didn't want anything too heavy, I decided on the Fish & Chips which consist of Fried Cod Tenders and French Fries. The table ordered a variety of dishes as everything on the menu looked amazing. I must admit, as amazing as the food read on the menu is also how amazing it looked in-person. OhMyGoshhhhhhhhh! Every single dish looked AhhhhhhhMaaaaaZingggggggg. And yes, mine tasted as good as it looked. The Cod was flaky and not overdone. The batter was crispy and not too thick. The batter and fish was seasoned but not to a point of over seasoned. The cod tasted like cod and didn't have the fishy smell of after taste. This was def Cod Tenders done right. The fries paired well, of course, and were seasoned perfectly as well. As the night continued, our waitress was on her A game the entire time. She checked on us. This was my first time returning to Sea Salt on Howell Mill in about two years, and I came in with high expectations. My last visit left a great impression--so much so that I ordered the exact same dish this time. Unfortunately, while the energy and ambiance were still there, the food and overall experience fell short of what I remembered. I made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday, so this dinner was a bit more special. When we arrived, we were met with a frustrating situation at the front desk. Although we had a party of three, only two of us had arrived because one guest was circling the Publix lot trying to find the entrance. We explained that we were aware of the two-hour seating policy and asked to be seated so our time could begin while we waited--our guest was close. The hostess initially made it seem like this was okay, only to double back and tell us she couldn't seat us without all guests present, citing policy. We then requested to speak with a manager. Thankfully, the manager was understanding and had us seated. Once we were at our table, our server Tasha completely turned the night around. She was hands-down the highlight of the evening. Tasha was warm, professional, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made my boyfriend's birthday feel like a priority, and I can honestly say she's been the best server I've had since moving to Atlanta over two years ago. Huge shoutout to her--she truly saved the experience. As for the food, it didn't live up to the atmosphere or the price point. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese, and while the portion was generous and the fried lobster claws were cooked well, the entire dish lacked seasoning. It didn't taste fresh, and the mac and cheese itself was bland--completely lacking the richness and depth you'd expect. It honestly just needed salt, seasoning, and soul. I also enjoyed the broccoli, which was perfectly cooked--crisp, slightly firm, and full of natural flavor. For drinks, I had a house margarita and a strawberry mojito. The mojito was a standout, but as the night went on, the drink turnaround time slowed drastically. The first round came quickly, but the second took far too long. I had to request the third drink be expedited after waiting an unreasonable amount of time for the second. One of my guests ordered the salmon lasagna and ended up sending it back due to lack of flavor. She replaced it with the catfish entrée, which had noticeably more seasoning and depth, but still not quite enough to rave about. Another guest had the seafood boil, which was also underwhelming. The sauce lacked flavor and customization. At most seafood spots, you're able to combine sauces to create something rich and layered--they don't offer that flexibility here, which was disappointing. Sea Salt still maintains a nice vibe and has potential, but the kitchen really needs to step it up. When you're charging premium prices, the food has to match the energy of the service and the space. One of my best friends had a birthday party here and I have been wanting to try this spot. We had a large part of 15 and it worked out perfectly as we were sectioned off in the back! Our server was super sweet (hey Bailey!) and did a great job remembering everything. All the food was pretty good except my rice had no flavor in the catfish dish but the drinks?? Amazing!
