This is in the heart of downtown Naples. Ambiance and service are great. Food unfortunately does not live up to the hype and most definitely not to the price. Lunchtime Branzino set had over 30 olives in it. The flavors completely overwhelmed the delicate fish. Bread for the chicken sandwich was tough enough to make your gums bleed & the slaw on the sandwich no longer made the chicken "crispy", as advertised. Listen, the food wasn't bad per se, but in this location you don't get to charge premium prices for mediocre food. The tuna tartar is to die for! We did the wine flight which was a nice experience to be able to try several types of wines. We also ordered Black Grouper & mushrooms polenta. Mushroom polenta was very good. Our server was super kind and very knowledgeable. Overall a very nice experience and I would certainly go back. read more

Worst experience! We arrived at 6:30 for a 6:45 reservation. We didn't get seated until 7:15. There was a table for 6 available that they would not give us, because they were holding for people that were a 1/2hour late for reservation. The hostess were incredible rude. We sat at our table for 1/2 hour before being offered a drink no bread ever brought, but asked for it several times. We didn't receive our food until 9:15. Big disappointment! Went for a special night out to see the holiday lights on 3rd Street and we were so rushed. It was extremely obvious that they wanted to turn over the table that we had our soup minutes after being seated, even before getting our wine. Had a 5;30pm reservation and first 2 courses were finished by 6pm. Expected much more from a restaurant of this caliber. I tried to let management know but did not even get a reply. Perfection. Had the Caesar salad and they make it so it is like little sushi rolls, and it is by far the best salad I have ever eaten!!! And I had the grass fed rip-eye and it was beyond delicious. Upon entering, my first impression was that the restaurant looked a bit dated. The smaller floor to ceiling glass wine "cellar" near the bar had condensation on it, which was a bad look. There was mediocre live music that could be heard throughout the restaurant, not just the bar area. We were seated in the main dining room with view of the open kitchen and a large glass wine cellar. The décor was okay, nothing special. Again, it felt a bit dated. The server greeted us promptly and we were welcomed with a complimentary nibble, along with fresh bread, olive oil and 3 types of sea salt for dipping. Our friends were disappointed to see that a particular bottle on the wine list cost twice the price ($260 vs. $130) as the same bottle we enjoyed at a different restaurant the night before, so he requested to speak with the sommelier. The sommelier couldn't discount the wine, nor offer a reasonable substitute, so we selected 2 bottles of a different wine. The waitress (not the sommelier) returned to present and serve the wine. The sommelier wasn't a true sommelier, as one would expect in a nicer restaurant (turns out she was also the manager- I'll let you know how I discovered that in a moment). We started off with raw oysters which were very good, and an appetizer of burrata, lobster and savory beignets with peeled tomato and pesto. This was excellent and the lobster was succulent, but unfortunately, not a sign of things to come. On to the entrees...the scallops were cooked medium rare with a light sear and served with fresh and light shaved fennel and radish over pureed cauliflower. Thought it was good but the orange citrus sauce had a strangely pungent flavor, but it didn't break the dish. The grilled red snapper over smashed potatoes had nice flavor, but was just slightly dry; perhaps a minute or 2 overcooked. The grilled hogfish was also a bit dry. The crispy fish was oddly soggy and after a bite or two, it was left untouched as my friend found it to be inedible. The waitress realized the dish was untouched and explained how it was cooked, but the fact that it was not crispy seemed to escape her! The salted caramello dessert was pretty looking, but nothing special. Now onto the problem. When patrons have to start policing behavior of other patrons you know you are not in a well managed establishment. There was a large group of men seated behind us. As the night went on they got drunker and louder and several stood up and congregated in the middle of the dining room inappropriately close to people's tables. The woman at the table next to ours had to get up from her seat and ask them to move. At one point the sommielier/manager took a picture of the group and backed up so far that she bumped into my friend who was just sitting in his seat (unprofessional). A bit later the rowdy men started dropping the f-bomb left and right. The staff did absolutely nothing to address the inappropriate behavior. So my friend stood up and asked the men to stop using this offensive language. After he sat back down, patrons at 2 separate tables across the dining room thanked him for addressing these men, so clearly we not the only ones being disrupted. Moments later, the men started to insult my friend and his wife loudly and it got ugly. Neither the staff nor management did anything to address the issue until we asked them to step in. The sommelier/manager lady finally came over and was ineffective at best. As we left, the men started shouting obscenities, at which point my husband had enough and retaliated with the good ole middle finger. I don't consider this a fine dining establishment whatsoever. Poorly managed and overpriced. Don't waste your time. read more

Food was amazing! Everything we had was wonderful and unique. The service was absolutely terrible! We had a waitress who told us specials and took our drink orders. She never came back. Got some drinks about 20 minutes later from another waiter. had to ask for last drink that never came. When we asked they said, oh, we're out of that. About 20 min later, someone asked if we wanted to place our order. Water was only refilled if we asked. Empty wine glasses and empty bread basket never removed from table. We asked for no nuts (due to an allergy) and order came with nuts. Additional drink orders were never asked about and even when we flagged someone down to order the drinks never came. Worst service I think we've ever experienced at a restaurant of that caliber. Too bad b/c food was truly delicious, but would not go back b/c of service. read more

Well...I was proved right once again! How can any respectable restaurant in Florida ruin grilled Grouper for goodness sake? Dry and rubbery...served cold. And the service was predictably sporadic. Spent $600+ dollars on dinner and instead of admitting she was wrong, she doubled down on her lie and totally embarrassed herself and the restaurant. This place is busy- for a good reason. We got all dressed up and headed in for a friend's birthday dinner. Every morsel was carefully crafted and delicious. The table ordered nearly one of everything on the menu. There were sighs of pleasure over the mussels and cockrails. My wine was delicious. They even made a special dairy-free vegetarian entree for me. The Caesar salad and gnocchi were table favorites, only second to the espresso with our dessert. My family and I recently visited Naples and came across this great restaurant. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic. Even the salt scrub in the bathroom smelled amazing! The food was perfection, but our waitress Allison truly took our experience to the next level. Allison was so cheerful and friendly and she also recommended a great wine that went perfectly with our food choices. We can't wait to go back and will definitely be requesting Allison as our server! This place was so overpriced and bland. I think salt can enhance the flavor of cooking and appreciate when it is added in the cooking process not table side. The service was terrible as our waitress judged us to be not big spenders like the table across the room whom she spent 95 percent of her time with. She even showed the other table the fish before it was cooked. She never checked back with us nor apologized for forgetting the Parmesan and or pepper. Giving one star because the bread was good & dipping oil was good. My husband & I ordered Branzino for two & it was full of bones. The place was unbelievably noisy & unpleasant. They sat us at a table that was in the pathway of all the servers & against the window of the open kitchen. I felt like I was sitting in Penn Station. The prices are obnoxious- our bone filled Bronzino for 2 certainly was not worth $90!!!! To wrap it up- we left hungry but couldn't wait to get out of there. read more

After arriving an hour early for a reservation next door at Tommy Bahamas, we thought a drink at the Sea Salt bar might be a great way to kick off the night. We walked in directly from the street and found two open chairs at the outside bar. Great luck for a Friday night in downtown Naples! After 5 minutes passes we start to get agitated no one has acknowledged us. 10 minutes goes by and we feel like we're being proactively ignored. After unsuccessfully trying to garnish attention from the few people behind the bar for 15 minutes, I finally got a head nod of acknowledgement the my wife and I existed. Yay! 7 minutes later, no service. After almost 25 minutes we walked out and had an amazing dinner at Tommy Bahamas. Got a drink within 30 seconds of walking up to a bar with one bartender and twice as many people. Despite the bad reviews, we were willing to try sea salt in the future. After this, I doubt I would even return to use the bathroom. read more

I sadly got my hopes up for this place for our family post thanksgiving outing and couldn't have ended up more disappointed. Let's start with the drinks. My dad orders an aged rum up with a lime. He ordered by name a specific type that isn't your bicardi or captain morgan. They come back to him with a glass that is quiet clearly not aged rum (aged rum is brown not vodka clear). Then the waitress questions this and has to go back to the bartender who apparently decided that since they were just out of what my Dad order she would sub in a well grade rum without asking (instead of selecting another aged rum or asking his preference). I wonder how many times customers have ordered one thing and gotten another of lower quality but charged the same, considering the bartender didn't even tell the waitress until questioned I wouldn't the tab was going to change. Now onto the food which can only be described as disappointing. My girlfriend got the crab pasta which wasn't great and lacking in the crab department and most likely was the reason she got food poisoning. 2 others got the overcooked and under flavored swordfish. My sister and I got the crispy whole snapper which was actually cut up and fried up as chunks but served with the rest of the body fried, the way the menu read everybody at the tabled expected it to be a whole fish seared to crispy skin by the description. The snapper was complete with cold gnocchi and an underwhelming sauce. I also got their take on Cesar salad which is like a lettuce wrap served sushi style and the only flavors were lettuce and Parmesan cheese. Dessert included another misleading menu item where which chocolate carrot cake was actually just carrot cake served with a little white chocolate sauce. Also had the creme brulee which was ok but nothing to write home about. The only redeeming quality about this place was the service, aside from the bartender, and even that was just a step above average but keeps this from being a 1 star review. If the prices weren't as high as they were this might be a place to try again but for the price there is far better around. We won't be coming back. read more

Meh... Came for lunch with parents on the recommendation of aunt/uncle. Place was pretty deserted when we arrived. Hostess were friendly and approachable. We asked for a corner table that hadn't been cleared and it took quite a bit of time for the table to be prepared. Felt like the staff held that against us. Our server - Michael - told us it was his first week no less than 8 times while apologizing for not knowing the menu, the ingredients on the items he just delivered to us (It's pistachio dust!) and for charging us incorrectly. His shirt was covered in what I can only describe as lots of cat hair and dryer lint. He leaned across the back of my chair while chatting with dad, completely invading my personal space. When my parents asked for a different dressing from what was listed on the menu for the wedge salad the server looked completely frightened. He had no idea what types of dressings were available (because he's new!). And apparently menu substitutions make the kitchen staff angry and the servers wince. It took forever to receive our food while we sat watching others who came after us eat. I sat there with an empty water glass for over 10 minutes and every time I tried to make eye contact with a server they quickly ran in the opposite direction. He was completely oblivious that my mother hated everything about her wedge salad and basically didn't eat anything other than a bit of bread and a cherry tomato. My Salmon was well cooked and tasty, however the arugula salad was very small and the goat cheese was watery. I left still hungry. Overall I'd give it a 6 out of 10. Dad's Grouper on wedge was a bit of a surprise to him, he'd never had a wedge salad before and I don't think he'll order one again. The grouper was good which brought it up to a 6 out of 10. Mom's wedge salad was pretty much a complete disappointment to her and she didn't eat anything more than a few tomatoes and some bread. Granted neither of them had an idea what a wedge salad was and I don't think they will ever order one again. When the bill came he charged a different amount than he had quoted us (the "special" was grouper or salmon with any salad for $18 or as an entree for $22). We ordered the salad and he charged us the entree price. Instead of correcting the bill, he gave us the difference back in cash. Seemed pretty shady and dad has been talking about it for several days wondering what the scam was. Basically overpriced underwhelming food, poor service. Won't be returning. Too bad because the ambience is amazing. Oh, and Michael? Please stop staying "young lady" and "young man" to 70 year olds, you may think it's cute, but it's disrespectful and makes you look like an idiot, buy a lint roller and stop leaning on the back of peoples chairs. This is not Applebees... and remember this - people don't care that you've only worked there for a week. read more

Like many of the other reviewers on here, this place is such a rip off. It's really expensive and the food is just barely mediocre. They are super busy, which is probably why they don't care if you are enjoying your dinner or not. I ordered a $40 piece of fish that was overcooked, twice. My thinking is, if you are going to charge that much for a piece of fish, you'd better have someone in the kitchen who knows how to cook it. Additionally, it was really loud, crowded and annoying. If you're looking for a relaxing dinner out, try somewhere else because the atmosphere here is bordering on stressful - so much so, that it made me feel like I was eating at a Chuck e Cheese.
