I think you should try a warm buttered lobster roll from Nolan's on Canandaigua ($25), the restaurant or the snack shack, to know what it should look and taste like. Another Saturday exploring my hood. The prices were phenomenal l compared to main grocery stores, which I expected being from Washington DC. I really have been missing China Town. No loud checkouts, everyone was courteous even customers. Just people getting their groceries, no entitlement, no BS, no Facial recognition upon checkout like at Wegmans. Just good community neighbors having a polite, no rage grocery shopping. Fruits and veggies very fresh, not treated with oil made to look fresh and glossy, just fresh. I did have to be mindful of salt products, and look hard for organic, but I'm not Asian and reading labels is more time consuming, labels are written in English but tinier, and my eyes are not what they used to be. But everyone was real patient. Very clean, quiet, staff were friendly and helpful. Prepared foods as well. This will be my new go to spot, before hitting the regular grocery store.
