Boy, we were luck to find this Comfort Suites in Brunswick. It was the only game in town. Our…read moreinitial plan had been to drive from Asheville, NC to Savannah, GA and to spend a couple of nights in Savannah. What we didn't know was that this was the weekend of Savannah's big Irish Festival and they weren't any hotel rooms available. After trying 5 or 6 hotels in the Savannah area, we started working our way south on I-95 and still encountered a lot of "no vacancies". By the time we pulled in this Comfort Inn, we were almost resigned to sleeping in the car. BUT -- the Comfort Suites HAD ROOMS AVAILABLE and we checked in. The gal at the check-in desk wasn't overly personable but she was efficent and got us checked in promptly. The hotel is a little tired and shop worn but it was clean and very quiet. We both got a great nght's sleep. The free breakfast was adequate and my wife said the waffles were excellent - better than most hotel waffles. Overall, we were pleased with our accommodations for the night and would stay here again if passing thru on I-95

Stains on the bed. Stains on the floors. Mysterious brown substance on the shower walls. Many of the room doors showed signs of being broken into which is not surprising because the guest access on the back of the building was not locked. The first room we were in smelled 100% like cat pee and the comforters had proved that a cat had been clawing the fabric. Thankfully they moved us one door down and the smell wasn't of urine, but it wasn't of cleanliness either. Complimentary breakfast if you like fake eggs. My dad told me to guess the rating and I was spot on at a 2.5, though I'm not sure if it deserves the .5

First, it is poor planning for a facility this size to only have one elevator. Out of order on a weekend is really bad. I had to climb up to the 3rd floor with my suitcase, computer, etc. No offer of help from the front desk. Second issue is the internet connection. Very very frustrating to try and even check email. It kept going in and out...had to log back in every time. I finally gave up. The room was nice, clean and well equipped with everything I needed. It had a small fridge and a microwave which was nice. Breakfast was decent with lots of choices but they close at 10:00. Nice eating area and it was clean. There is coffee and tea available all the time but the tea choice was very limited. Check out was easy as well. Good location but not in y to be village area where all the shops, pier and restaurants are.

Our room was super clean. We were impressed with how big and comfortable it was. The beds were a bit high but very firm and comfortable. The temperature was easy to control on the wall. A bit of noise carried into the room on floor one from the hall but nothing too bad. We loved the plantation shutters in our room most. See website for location, reservations and great prices. The location is perfect across from Starbucks, McDonalds, Winn Dixie and more! Come to Saint Simon and stay here happy!

Stayed here for a month in September 2025 for work. This was probably the single worst hotel…read moreexperience I've had in my life. I'll start with the highs: the staff is reasonable friendly, and the A/C in the room does get pretty cold. And that's where the good ends. Housekeeping is hit or miss--there were multiple days when I returned to my room at the end of the day only to find an unmade bed, despite housekeeping being a daily-promised thing at this property. And despite this, one of the housekeepers had the gumption to leave a hand-written note asking for tips. Sorry, while I do usually tip for that service, when you start expecting it, especially after not actually providing housekeeping, I'm not inclined to reward that. Now for the really bad. At the time, the hotel's keycard encoding machine was not working. For a solid month. My classmates and I were admonished by the front desk staff not to lose our keys (or, oddly, the paper keycard sleeves--guess those are in short supply?), because they could not be replaced. A coworker was staying in an adjoining room, and his keycard stopped working. The hotel's solution? Giving him a master key. Yes, this random guest was provided with a key that could open any room in the hotel. Which he demonstrated by unlocking my door. Lovely. Then, the painting. Rather than spend money on something that would actually improve the guest experience, like deep-cleaning the carpets to get rid of whatever that weird, pervasive smell was in the hallways on every floor, the property owner decided to repaint the exterior of the hotel. Another coworker staying in the hotel was parked adjacent to the building on the day painting started. The front desk had our vehicle information and knew who every vehicle parked on the property belonged to. Did they contact my coworker to ask him to move the vehicle? They did not. They wrapped it in plastic and continued with the painting. Finally, checkout day. Checkout is at noon. I had moved most of my stuff out of my room the day prior, but had left several things, like my Keurig, a Squatty Potty, and a rather expensive Dyson fan. Upon arriving at the hotel at 10:30 AM to grab the last of my stuff, I was surprised to find that my room was empty, everything cleared out. I went down to the front desk, where the clerk was surprised to see me. "You're still here? We thought you checked out." Why? Why would you think that? I haven't turned in my key, the one you were so adamant about me returning. Also, there were still several items left in my room, things which nobody would reasonably expect would be discarded so callously. And again, the hotel knows who is staying in their rooms. I was required to provide my cell phone number at check-in. Was a courtesy call made to ensure I had not left without checking out, absconding with that irreplaceable keycard and its wilted paper sleeve? No, of course not. After about ten minutes, one of the housekeeping staff sheepishly returned my Dyson fan to me, along with the Keurig. The Squatty Potty was MIA, but frankly, after some stranger has manhandled it, I would have felt weird using it. An acceptable loss at this point. Side note: the hotel has but a single washer and dryer. If you're planning on an extended stay, this ain't the move.
