Seacoast Adventure - Mini Golf Near Me - Windham, Maine

I had many childhood memories here, back when it only had mini golf, water bumper boats, and go carts. Then they added the Sky Coaster about 25 years ago, an arcade, a ropes course, and more. The Sky Coaster is standing there, but is decommissioned permanently. The ropes course feels like it just showed up 4 years ago, but it's closed forever. No more water boats. The putt-putt has seen better days without an update. The go carts are tired and my 10 year old isn't allowed to drive one because she's 57" tall. Is anyone going to that bar/restaurant? After lots of expansions, it seems to be collapsing back to less than when it started. Needs some creative efforts to compete with everything else that can be found within 30 minutes. read more

I'm surprised that this place gets only 3 cumulative stars?!! We've just been here in Winter- tonight we did the last 2 hour block of snow tubing, 5-7pm and it was SUPER FUN & EXHILARATING. Both me (way into middle age) and the kid (almost 10) had a great time, and were Pleasantly surprised at the size/height of the tubing hill and the "seriousness" of the operation. It's efficient, extremely well designed and maintained. The hill is pretty impressive for being right up above the side of Rt 302 in Windham, like it looks like a little mini ski area, not like a few chutes artificially built into the ground on a short raised up are behind the property like I was expecting. These are pretty good runs, around 10 different "lanes", which are kept packed with tight groomed, icy snow and little side walls, so you can get some real nice speed and not have to worry about flying out of your lane and crashing. Some of the lanes are steeper and have more distinct dips and steep parts than others. The escalator style standing lift is great. It was busy enough to feel lively there but not so busy that there were annoying lines or much wait at the starting points at top of hill. Great lighting at night and good mix of tunes on the outdoor PA system. It brought back the feeling of what I loved about night skiing in my youth. read more

The snow rubbing is sold in two hour increments for two hours each at about $23 a ticket. Always a fun time tubing singles or together in a train. There is a steep side for singles. There is another side, maybe 4 runs for single or double, and there are 3 other runs a little higher on this side which allow multiple tubes tied together. Tubes are a little scrappy. The bathroom is an outside porta potty. There is a coffee shop and a tavern with a nice view and bathroom. The food was nothing special with standard bar fare. The waitress was pleasant and it was a pleasing experience. read more

When I was a teenager I was asked to leave a mini golf course because I was playing like it was field hockey. Being singled out like that at such a delicate stage of my life traumatized me, and I stopped playing mini golf altogether. Which was too bad for me, because while I may not have been very good at it, I always had sooooooo much fun playing with family and friends (unlike bowling; which I suck at AND hate... bowling can eat it. Eat it bowling). I'm all grown up and want to play mini golf again, so I recently came to Seacoast Adventure with my partner. I let him know well in advance that I was TERRIBLE at putt-putt, and as long as he didn't judge me a) for my occasional hockey slap shot-esque drives or b) that more often than not I would hit the maximum of 6 strokes, it would be a good time. And it was! The staff was friendly and quick at getting us in and out of the registration/pay area! The other people playing around us were all really cool locals (sometimes this can be an issue if the people in front of or behind you are in a rush, or they're too-cool-for-school teenager types, outta-statahs claiming everything about Maine is "quaint" or "charming", etc.)! The price was decent! And the music - while all "older" stuff (Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Elvis Costello, Van Morrison) - was what we grew up listening to because of our parents, so we had even more fun singing along to it and being ridiculous! Overall, it was an AWESOME night out! However... I don't see a need to ever come back. The course itself was pretty boring. We did it once, we don't need to do it again, y'know? As we approached the ninth hole, we couldn't figure out where the next nine holes would be because it's just SUCH a small course. And both the obstacles and decorations are pretty boring: a static lighthouse, a bunch of anchors, some flower pots. That's pretty much it. And the loose bricks outlining each hole physically tripped us up more than once. The mini golf here is fun enough and definitely affordable for a family, so check it out at least once! They don't seem like the type of people who'll humiliate your teenager when she starts playing like she's in the NHL either! read more

I was looking for a fun (but, more importantly- safe) alternative to a COVID birthday party for my daughter and a few of her other 10 year old friends and I could not have been more disappointed. Twice I witnessed staff yelling at the children. When I told them they need to relax, the operations manager got in my face, raising his voice, saying that he was overwhelmed by his job. I walked down to the office and two (also disrespectful) individuals, claiming to be the next in authority, responded to the incident by saying that his staff was overwhelmed and had too much going on. They went on to say that, although he should not be yelling, nobody should be cutting in line. I purchased matching face coverings for my entire party. They were all being yelled at for cutting each other... All of the girls were clearly together because they had these matching masks and they we just having fun; the last thing anyone cared about was being one person ahead of another on the agonizingly slow and extremely dangerous equipment they have built to bring you up the mountain. This was not the first time the girls were screamed at. An employee assigned to the middle of the bottom of the lanes yelled at the girls for not walking in the designated walking areas when they were just trying to avoid the massive crowds of onlookers... 10 year old girls trying to keep appropriate social-distance... as they are taught to. So, before you pay your $24 for 2 hours of snow tubing at this place, know this: Parents, your children will not be respected by the staff if you decide to send them there by themselves. They require masks, but nobody was wearing them and social-distancing is impossible at this place. The unloading zone at the top of the hill is no more then 50feet by 100feet maximum. The people giving orders to let the next in the lane go, waits a solid 45 seconds or more between tubers but that does stop the people packing the tiny top of the mountain. The bottleneck creates a crowd. The whole hill was packed, which is why we felt we should be crossing to the lift in different places just to spread out. This business is overselling their tickets and they are a coronavirus breakout waiting to happen. I put so much time and money into making my daughter's day special. I chose this venue because I thought they would be safe because it is outside but I didn't realize I would be dealing with an irresponsible company such as this one. The whole party went down maybe 3 times because it was so uncomfortably close. When you have 10 year olds who would stay on that hill FOREVER as long as they felt safe saying they would rather go sit on the hill near the snowbank near the parking lot to get away from people, you know there's a problem.. And that problem is greed, lack of employees, lack of training, lack of actual management training, poor planning, disrespectful employees due to a lack of leadership, and current leadership not setting the bar high. Businesses have a corporate responsibility to maintain standards for the safety of its customers and I assure you this is not being done here. Instead, employees are allowed to scream at customers (children!) for trying to create some space in the crowds. Maybe the employees are screaming because there are simply not enough of them to control the crowd. As the people in charge mentioned, the employees are just overwhelmed because THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE ALLOWED IN! I am truly disappointed and I hope this post will incite a change to prevent an incident like this in the future or decrease potential coronavirus exposure. The CDC should watch this business and its COVID blueprint. With cases and deaths reaching new record highs daily, business operations at Seacoast Adventure is unsafe and irresponsible; based on what I witnessed today, neglect for public health safety that is seemingly intentional to make a profit. read more

Had a good time on my first tubing adventure here. The runs were tons of fun and wasn't too scary or fast for my 4 year old. The moving walkway to the top of hill stopped working as we were about halfway, so me and my 4 year old had to walk the rest of the way up. Boy was I not expecting that and dragging the double tube up. I know things happen, but that was the only minor hiccup. Everything else was great. We bought our tickets online so when we got there it was smooth sailing. Fun time nonetheless! read more

Two adults and four kids took to the ropes and zip lines. I can say it was way more than I imagined and not bad as far as cost. Considering it can cost us several hundred dollars for day at like Disney, $160 for six people isn't bad at all. $20-$30 per person for three hours of adventure is a fair price. We had a great time and are planning our next trip back already. This place has other things to do but we stuck to the adventure park and zip lines. They are super challenging and none of us made it to the highest level. Highly recommended for family fun. Little ones like my 7 year old struggled and tired out easily but he had fun and watched us from the picnic table when he had enough. I think they could benefit from bundling the pricing better, like adding go karts or the mini golf in with the adventure park. Keeping us there longer may have had us getting ice cream there rather than down the road at friendlies (yes still open as of Aug 2012). read more

My kid had been begging me to go mini golfing for a month so we headed here and we had a great time. We did a lot of things we weren't planning on, which was fun. The ropes course was amazing and easily the best part of our day. The instructors were fantastic. They explained everything with patience and humor. The course was challenging but not too much for my 8 year old. I used muscles I didn't know I had! The ropes course is in the shade which was heaven since it was a scorcher out. After the ropes course, we headed to the go-karts. The guy running it had great energy and did a great job getting everyone setup. The course is short but still fun. After that we headed to the mini-golf course, which was ok. It is nothing fancy, no crazy holes or over the top design but we still enjoyed it. Honestly, without the ropes course, I would probably would have rated the park 3 stars. All in all, it was a fun afternoon. read more

Visited this place over Presidents weekend and it was pretty fun. It sits on the side of the main road in Windham near Sebago Lake and looks like it is fun in the summer as well as winter. What is good about this place for tubing is they have 12 groomed lanes and plenty of tubes, double and single to use. Plus the conveyor lift to the top is awesome. Price wise it is reasonable and it was not too crowded because they split this up into session blocks of 3 hour times. That way it is spread out and not too crammed with people. They also have a mini lodge at the bottom and even an outside fire pit nearby if you are watching. I will be sure to visit this place in the summer since it looks like they have miniature golf and lots of zip lines and rope bridge structures. In all a fun experience! read more

I love and hate this place at the same time. I hate it because their hours of operations seemed to set by someone's mood to work or not. I called to confirm their closing time and was told it was 9pm that day. We arrived at 5:15pm and it was closed! I called again and the same girl answered the phone and said: "yeah, decided to close at 5pm today. bye" Not even an "I'm sorry"... Same thing next day...! Why I went the third time you ask? Well, we were renting a cabin on vacation in Ottisfield, ME and there is nothing else in the area. Anyhow... When we were finally able to use the mini-golf it was pretty nice. Very well maintained. We also did the zip-line and although our gear was only checked once for safety, it was very nice as well. If you're in town for visit, I recommend you prepare to find this place closed even if you call... If we hadn't had issues with their disorganization with hours and bad customer service over the phone, I would have given this place 5 stars. read more

Kids were excited for snow tubing, we bought tickets on-line ahead of time. When we arrived early, we noticed that they must have over sold tickets because the line was from the conveyor out to the street. It took 20 minutes to get to the conveyor. That means your paying for about 6 rides in two hours. They have a 2nd lift that pulls tubes. The staff was standing around, and not even thinking of opening it. When asked they just answered no. The snow tubing could be great here, but they need to make some sales, and staff changes. read more

We've been here twice. The snow tubing in the winter is awesome. Surprisingly enough they had tubing in the summer. If you go during the summer just remember to lift your butt when you go down to avoid bruising it. They also have zip-lining in the summer but it is short and it isn't worth it. The sky swing is scary and worth the money. read more

My 11 year old son and I did the ropes course and it was the perfect challenge for him. There were 3 different easy courses and it took about 2 hours to complete them. The facility was well maintained and the equipment seemed very safe. I did take off one star because the staff did not seem very happy to be there. They were knowledgeable and I felt comfortable with them guiding us through the course, but I got the feeling they were irritated. It seemed as if something was going on that was affecting the mood of everyone there. They did their job, it was just a little awkward spending 2 hours out there with someone who wasn't very enthusiastic. Overall, a really fun experience. We will definitely be back to try out the other offerings. read more

Was hoping to have the kids do the ropes course but that was closed. We made the best of it and did the go karts and tube slide. Go karts were expensive but the kids loved them and they go faster then most so we paid the money. Overall nice place just wish all attractions were open so we enjoy the day. read more

I took myself and my children to a two hour snow tubing session during winter break. The tubing was great, but we ran into two snags that really made me reconsider returning. One: There is very little crowd control. The crowd is limited as far as how many people can buy tickets to each session, but there's nobody really directing people where to go. There were lots of people cutting lines and bumping into each other with these giant tubes. It didn't hurt, but I genuinely felt concerned that someone would hurt one of my smaller children unintentionally. Two: For much of our session, there was one particular "fast" lane that remained closed. In the last half hour of our session, it opened. My 6 year old little girl felt brave, and waited for over 25 minutes while her siblings tubed other lanes and returned up the hill again. Yet again, we suffered the consequences of large crowds cutting line and ended up at least an extra 6 people back. I assured my daughter that her patience would pay off. And as we neared the top of the hill, a man took a cord directly in front of us and told us the lane was now closed. After 25 minutes of waiting, we had to leave the line, go to the back of a new line in another lane, and watch the kids that cut us in line, go down the hill we waited longer than them for. My daughter was devastated. When it happened, I tried to explain, but the man that corded off the lane spoke completely over me offering his very unapologetic condolences and just walked away. It was incredibly rude. I can't ever name one time in my life that I've complained to a manager. None. But I felt incredibly compelled to speak up after that experience. The manager seemed very "bottom line" about the complaint. She basically cut me off and asked what I wanted. I wanted her to hear me, but more importantly, I just wanted my little girl to go down a hill she waited for. The manager certainly didn't seem interested in my feedback, but she did let us have a trip up the hill. Unfortunately, my daughter was so upset that she wouldn't go. The whole thing just put a really sour taste in my mouth. read more

It may have some good ways to amuse your family, but beware of the young staff working there. Either they were protesting having to work on Labor Day or they are just a surly lot. But they managed to cast a pall on our late afternoon visit to the Fun Park by being uniformly unhelpful and rude. My daughter did do the zip line and said it was fun but decided it wasn't worth doing again. So perhaps more helpful staff work earlier in the summer and so you can ignore this review if that's when you visit. But I would advise avoiding the place if the current staffers are there. read more

This place is so over priced. Three tickets to go carts and two for the swing was about 60.00. So for about nine minutes of fun I paid 60.00. I could of gone to an all day amusement park and got two tickets for that price. Suckered me once never again read more

Really enjoyed the Crazy Apes ropes course-- so much that we're about to go do it again! Spending 2.5 hours zipping, climbing, and traversing the course was lots of fun (and challenging!). The staff was super helpful in guiding, encouraging, and assisting with the course. Highly recommend it! read more

We have visited before and had a pretty fun time. We drove an hour today to celebrate my daughter's last day of school and it was so bad we left without using all of our rides. We were the ONLY ones there while we were there, which should be a cool thing but as good as that is we still left. The tubing hill was so bumpy and uncomfortable we all had headaches and felt bad. The sprinklers were not turned on as in the past. The go carts were not ready and when we tried to buy a smoothy at the end (after the park was open for over an hour) they said they had never turned it on so it wasn't ready. My 13 year old and her friend used 3 of their 8 tube rides and the adults used 2 of their 5. Very disappointing. read more

My husband, sister and I wanted to take our younger, out-of-state cousins mini golfing while they were in Maine. We drove over one night when it was sprinkling, not thinking that it would affect the golf course. The woman rudely said "it's raining, no one is here, and I don't want to turn the lights on. We're closing.". Oh. It was three hours before they were supposed to close for the night. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we went back two nights later to play. Despite the fact that the website says that they closed at 10 that particular night, before 9pm the lights were off, and signs saying that they were closed and to not trespass were put in their driveway. Update your website or stay open if you're supposed to be open; it's not that difficult. We wasted two nights of their vacation planning to spend the night mini golfing.
