Can I have your attention please will the real gumbo please stand up. Oh I forgot they don't make real gumbo. I am not kidding when I say that this restaurant does not make roux for their gumbo. It is actually canned Campbell vegetables soup. Then they through in the shrimp and a lil tiny bit of sausage. The rice in it was poor quality no taste. It was beef broth not roux. I know canned vegetable soup when I taste it. That's what their gumbo is. I'm not trying to be rude, only speaking my truth of what I actually tasted. I also had their shrimp boil bag. It did not have much flavor. Good thing it came with salt n pepper n lime. Spicy does not mean it has flavor. Just means it's hot. That's all their shrimp boil was just hot. This place is amazing! I started coming here about a year ago when I moved to the area. I literally come here to pick up my crawfish and snow crab legs every week, it is that good!! I just love crawfish and the flavor of lemon pepper and garlic butter with no added spice is great. Everyone there basically knows my name and my order. Very friendly! sunday afternoon. walked in to a spacious joint. we were greeted by very friendly staff and immediately sat in a booth. lots of open tables, flat panel tv's hanging everywhere...so we got comfortable. we shared a pound of shrimp with their all in one sauce-mild, adding a sausage, potatoes and corn to the bag. also, an order of cajun fries. we really liked the all in one seasoning. so good. pros-clean bathroom delicious all in one sauce tasty spicy sausage plump shrimp cons- I visited a second time tonight. Both times were within the same 2 wks. Tonight I witnessed the friendly server clean off a patrons table and recycle the unused limes. She put them in the serving bucket & served them to another table within 20 minutes. When I addressed the cashier he seemed a lil concerned & then while we were talking- watched as the server served the used limes to a new table. He let it happen as we finished our conversation and made no attempt to stop her. Working for a health insurance provider I recognize the value of cleanliness & control of diseases. We stopped by yesterday night in celebration of my birthday, and lemme tell you it's TOTALLY worth it! The servers are very attentive, sorry I can't remember their names, but regardless their good people. It's not like those places where you have to flag them down to get a simple glass of water refilled. We got there about 9, it wasn't packed, but that doesn't bother me at all. We were sat down immediately and given a few minutes to order. We got 3 lbs of shrimp mild in your all in one sauce with 3 potatoes and 3 corn. Don't mind my small looking body, I have the stomach of a really fat person and this was enough for us to leave extras. I didn't intend on leaving scraps, but I wasn't trying to leave too stuffed. I think we actually laughed more than we ate, our server even joined me in mocking my friend that he too cracked some jokes. By the time we left it was almost 11 and there was no rush, that we noticed, to leave the place bc they were closing. this was close to where I was at so decided to stop by since it's new. the decor was okay. looks new and clean. this is the first crawfish place I've been to where you can't write on the walls. lol This place is owned by Asians... Cambodians maybe? the seafood sauce "all in one special" was not that bad. my friend tasted some coconut and noticed there wasn't that much msg in the sauce so that's good! I really don't know what Star Crab tastes like but I would like to know which one do you think is better. comment on my page and lmk! I did not like the oysters but my friend liked them so you gotta try it for yourself! same goes with the Cajun fries I felt like I was eating cut potatoes. I don't really know how to explain it. they look like in n out fries, but thicker and seasoned, but the texture of these fries did not feel like in n out at all. I was pretty disappointed. maybe they should make the fries thiner and cook it longer??? the sausages were also kind of weird. it's $2 for 2 sausages. look at my photo for how it looks. pretty good sausages though. looks store bought. oh yeah, they didn't let us order 1/2 lbs unless you get 2 1/2s and add it up to 1 lb. so we got 1/2 clams and 1/2 shrimp overall, I mostly care about the sauce and theirs wasn't that bad. read more

I've been here so many times and I've always been so happy. The service here is always great. There's never a long line like other seafood places. The waiters are all super nice and helpful. They are quick to respond to our needs. The food comes out very fast. I never have to wait too long for the food. The quality is always good, never once had a problem. The crab legs here are DELICIOUS!!!! I always get the snow crab. I can eat atleast a whole pound by myself. The legs are easy to break and there's always a lot of meat inside (unlike some places that have barely any) The prices here are also very reasonable. They don't overcharge and I never feel like I'm paying a ton. 10/10 recommend :) read more

To be honest, we had planned to go to Star Crab which was down the street. We've been there many times and didn't want to change where we went since we knew the food was always good. However, when we got there, we waited a while to be seated when it wasn't even a busy night. With that being said, we left there unsatisfied and came here for the first time. Pros: The Cajun fries are fresh potatoes! Not the Fries you get out of an OreIda bag. Flavor is good also. Different from Boiling Crab, Hot n Juicy but still good for being here locally. I felt like I was peeling 2 lbs of shrimp for days. It was quite a bit and decently sized. Cons: This isn't really a con but the sauce is a little more liquidy than other places I've been to. The proportions in the sauce are different. My corn with butter came out rather dry. Usually you would see it swimming in a bag of butter but again this place was different. Overall, I was satisfied with my first time here. Most likely will be back here again :) read more

My friends and I were craving boiling crab, and so I searched for the closest substitute in riverside. We ordered the 1/2 dozen raw oysters, a lb of shrimp (all in one mild), a lb of mussels (all in one mild), a lb of shrimp (Cajun mild), a lb of mussels (Cajun mild), 2 all in one corns, and 1 butter garlic corn. The oysters came first, and they were super dry.. They wouldn't even come off the shells no matter how hard we sucked or bit.. Next came my lb of shrimp and lb of mussels. The mussels were super chewy and the shrimp was overcooked. The corn had a strange flavor and texture too.. It felt kind of weird and mushy. Also, our food all came out at separate times. Rude. Our waitress, Marilyn, was not very attentive. We had to call for her numerous times, although we were the only party there. Next time I'll just wait to go back to LA and eat boiling crab. read more

Recently moved to Corona and wanted to find something comparable to Kicking Crab of OC. Unfortunately, this is not the one. Reasons why: 1) Fried Catfish and fries - cooked fresh, good and crispy. Wish it came with Cajun fries automatically. A bit more Cajun seasoning on the catfish would bump it up a notch or two. Being the I lived in Louisiana, i know a thing or two about Cajun seasoning and this could really use it. 2) Shrimps with Mild All In One sauce - ordered 1 lb but it didn't feel like it was a 1 lb. bag. The shrimps were cooked ok but the sauce was too watery (so it didn't cling to the shrimps when I dip) and didn't have enough "umph" or seasoning to it so it was a bit bland. 3) Crawfish with Mild All in One - my husband said the crawfish were pretty small and some were not cooked all the way - they broke apart very easily, mushy. He knows a lot about crawfish having lived in Louisiana and Texas and have had very many crawfish boils so his expectation is very high and it sucks that he was disappointed. The sauce again lacked flavor and again the weight of the bag was very questionable. 4) Lack of host - we didn't know if we just sit ourselves or someone will. We had to walk half way in before someone finally took notice and sat us. So the take away...we will have to drive from Corona to OC to have proper shrimp and crawfish. This place is, after all, new to this Cajun seafood game so there's definitely room to grow and improve and hopefully they will improve. But until then, OC it is for us. read more

I've been at this place once before and thought it was, ok. I decided to try it again and kick myself for wasting $30.00 on shrimp that was extremely filthy and had this funky taste to it. I don't know if it was a Mercury taste mixed with their spices or if the shrimp had gone bad, but it just made it difficult to eat. I left 2lbs of shrimp on the table and half boiled potatoes and walked out after paying my bill. I understand this place and the other one are trying to be like The Boiling Crab but they are substandard and not comparable to such a delicious establishment. Your sauce is too peppery and your seafood is filthy. Rework your sauce and please do not skimp on the sauce in the bag, boil the potatoes all the way through, cut your limes into bigger wedges and MOST importantly serve clean shrimp!!!! I really really really wanted to like this place. I wanted to desperately like it. It was a fail and all that means is that The Boiling Crab will still be getting my business. I ordered 1 lb of shrimp, dungeness crab, 2 orders of sausage and gumbo with rice (and specifically for that item to be packaged to go after the meal). The All in One sauce is very watery as others have mentioned and just not very flavorful. I asked for mild spicy which surprisingly has more heat than I expected. I got pretty close to 20 medium to large sized shrimp. The server said the dungeness crab comes in 2 lbs at $16/lb. He didn't mention it would be two separate crabs which didn't seem to be 2 lbs total. They were not cooked well, practically raw. He brought out a second batch because I complained. The second batch was no better. He proceeded to tell me that many customers have complained before and this is the last box of crab they have. Because they cook them from frozen is why they come out this way. He also said he's been telling other customers that they don't have dungeness crab but because I asked for them is why I got them. That made absolutely no sense to me and I feel taken advantage of. He took the crab off the bill; I would have settled for no less. The "to go" item of gumbo was brought to me during my meal. We were craving for seafood. So we decided to try this place. The server asked if we've been to Kicking Crab or the Boiling Crab - if you like seafood, you should've been to either one - and told us it's the same concept (we kinda figured it out). We had high hopes and it was crushed! We ordered shrimp and clams with sausage, corn, rice and lemon pepper French fires. As we were waiting for our food, I was wondering when they'll give us our bibs - we had to ask for it. At the Kicking Crab or the Boiling Crab, it's almost automatic, they'll give you your bib as soon as you placed your order. They brought out the rice and French fries first - which I don't mind - went all downhill from there. That was the saddest French fries we had ever seen. I couldn't taste the lemon or the peeper - and it's so soggy and greasy!!! The shrimp and clams are not any better either. The food needed a good seasoning. Just because it's spicy doesn't mean you have to forget to season them. The server checked on us once and seemed to forget we were still there -waiting service. After that wherever we need we had to get their attention. We even waited so long for them to deliver our check. Overall, food was underwhelming, service is lacking and food is sub par. I don't think we'll ever come back here again. It's sad. There aren't that many seafood places around. But next time, we'll drive to Chino Hills instead. read more

So there's the pros and cons about this place. The food, while delicious, was hit or miss. I ordered mild because my family doesn't like food too spicy. The mild came out very spicy. The lobster that came with our meal was so over cooked I had to use the scissors to cut it up because it was so rubbery. The crab, shrimp, clams, and mussels were delicious. The crawfish were also hit or miss. Some of them being too small to pick the meat out of. The Cajun fries were over salted. The service could have been better. If you're a fan of spicy food take note that the SPICY & VERY SPICY are not as spicy as you'd think they be. They do have a noticeable kick but nothing crazy. The Cajun fries here are good but not great, Buckets over in Upland have ruined Cajun fries for me hahaha. However, the sausage offered here is huge for a cheap price, you can only put the two halves in one bag though :( so if you're sharing them like us decide which one you want them in! Not a big deal considering it was really well-cooked sausage, not obnoxiously chewy like a lot of Cajun restaurants. The menu is smaller than a lot of other places, but the quality is fantastic. Shrimp is huge & cooked to perfection, they aren't soggy and difficult to peel, just the right amount of firmness. Loveeee! I will say that the sauce is more on the runny side & isn't as thick as I'd like it to be, but that's fine. Will continue to come here if I don't feel like driving out to Rowland, the OC, or Upland. I called to place an order & was told they had a new policy, that we had to come into the restaurant in order for them to prepare the food. I get there to pay & they tell me in about 15 minutes it would be ready, 40 minutes go by & they would call when it's ready. I go back to check in & they tell me 10 more minutes. So I wait another 20 so that's an hour later & I assume the new policy is for everyone so why did they get there after me & still got there food before me? I go back in & they say another 10 minutes. I've been coming here for years & even then they don't take no longer than an hour to bring out the food. I'm disappointed because I waisted my time to not even want my food anymore. Looove this place!!! I normally order a pound and a half of shrimp in the All In One Special sauce which is sooo delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly. There are TVs in every angle, and the decor makes it that much more fun and pleasant. There's no reason to drive 40 minutes to Boiling Crab, wait over an hour, and sit in traffic for another whole hour when this place has it all! The food and prices are very comparable to BC except the spicy level on the sauces. Boiling Crab's medium level has more heat than a spicy level here. Love this place. Love the staff. Service: It was okay. The girl who took my order wrote "non spicy" instead of spicy, so the sauce was lacking. However, another server got it handled by having them redo our sauce. This is the place to go in Riverside for a Boiling Crab style restaurant! My husband and I tried a place near this one called "Boiling Star Crab" and it was AWFUL. Overcooked Crab with barely any meat inside, fried shrimp that was nearly all bread, and Garlic Bread that tasted like it came from the frozen isle... Just awful. Took a chance on this place... Seafood & Crawfish... that opened nearby, and it was PERFECT everything was excellent and filling with real fried shrimp. All the food was hot and fresh when it came out. Service and food was excellent across the board. I do not write a lot of Yelp reviews, but this place needs to be recognized as an excellent place to eat. The place is new and clean a but empty and cold feeling. The waiter, I think may have been the owner gave us a discount coupon sheet because it was the second day of opening. Crawfish a $10, shrimp for $9 for a pound plus two sides potatoe salad I think and something else. Two beer choices on the menu we're not in stock. Asked for a mixed platter or a sampler platter and the waiter said simply unavailable and cannot do it. He then said we had a discount on whatever dish we selected if it met the discount criteria. If it didn't make the discount criteria we could always order two more pounds to get our dollar discount. At that point we told him we were leaving and graciously said goodbye. read more

When I order ice tea that's exactly what I want. Not 5 pieces of ice that melted by the time my cup filled up with tea. We were told we could sub reg fries for Cajun & still got charged.
