It was a bit spicy but if you can handle it, they mean their spice! Get a side of Cajun fries. it always soothes the spiciness. Or an addition of rice will help and adds a neutral flavor. I had a good experience the food was perfect delicious the service was fast. It was a week day night I was there not busy at all, but I know on weekends it gets really busy. We ordered: 2lb shrimp 1lb mussel Friend lemon pepper chicken Cajun fries First off, the sauce was really watery even though I requested it to be thicker. The shrimp was mushy and not firm. As soon as I hold the shrimp, the head can just fall apart. Mussels, I have to say it was huge BUT they over cooked it. Fried chicken was meh. Cajun fries was literally sprinkles of some red chili powders only. And last, we had to wait pretty long to get our check and it wasn't busy at all. I love Cajun food so I've tried my fair share and maybe my expectations are a bit high. I especially like trying the mom and pop shops over chains like Boiling Crab to support local businesses, but I just can't say that this was a standout of all the ones I've eaten at. When I went, it had only been open for a couple months so maybe there's room for improvement? The ingredients were fresh (shrimp and mussels), but the flavor of the sauces was lacking and the garlic noodles was just spaghetti drenched in oil and minced garlic; I found myself dipping it in the shrimp sauce just to give it more flavor. By the time the food came, we didn't receive any bibs, napkins or gloves that we've requested multiple times. The sauce: it was really watery and not thick enough to use as a dipping sauce for your food. They need to make it not as watered down cuz I could barely taste it. Great place to get messy and full. They have good seafood but when it comes to foods like the side meals it's disappointing. I don't recommend their own drinks, stick with fountain drinks like coke. I came to the corona area for dinner and my friend wanted to eat at a crawfish place. Since Seafood and Crawfish is opened till 11 PM and everywhere was almost closing at 10 PM, we decided to give it a shot. My friend LOVES crawfish and we are on the hunt for our favorite place. Unfortunately, this crawfish joint will not be it. Nothing was wrong with the service, it was just the food we weren't so crazy about. What we ordered: - Soda: Free using the yelp check in! - Water: Fresh tap water straight from the sink - Cajun fries ($3.50): I would avoid ordering this. I usually gobble all the french fries but I left more than half of the basket left. The fries are fat and the seasoning wasn't to my liking. - 1 pound crawfish, all in one sauce, spicy & 2 pounds crawfish, all in one sauce, extra spicy ($10.95/lb): The spice levels are not very spicy and the "all in one" sauce is really interesting. What I found to stick out about their sauce is that it has a hint of curry taste and that taste is very distinct and strong no matter how much you put. The 2 pounds of crawfish came with either corn or a potato. I opted for the corn and it was just alright. The total for our bill was $40 plus tip, so close to $50 for 2 people. I wanted to order the sausages but I thought $1.95 for 2 pieces is pretty steep. You have to ask for the salt, pepper and lime. Our server was generous on the limes since we use a lot of it. Overall, I'll probably skip this place and move onto the next one. read more

I saw that this place recently opened in Riverside on Yelp, so my friend and I gave it a go. Typical cajun seafood place. They sell shrimp, mussels, clams, crawfish, crab, and other seafood by the pound. Pricing is fairly similar to other seafood places -- $9-$10 a pound of shrimp, mussels, clams; a little more for other seafood, some dependent on market price. They also sell fried baskets for around $8, and cajun fries for #3.50. You get to order your own seasonings, such as garlic, lemon pepper, cajun, or all of them. The sauce with all the seasonings tastes very similar to the whole shabang from Boiling Crab, and I'm glad I found a place where I can get the same flavor without having to drive half an hour away. One thing that sets this place apart from the other places is that I've noticed several places skimping out on limes and giving lemons instead. IT IS NOT THE SAME. It simply isn't. I appreciate that this place not only provides each table with lime wedges but also slices them up and places them in each bag of seafood. I really enjoy the flavor of lime, and I am glad that they are cooking the lime with the spices and whatnot. The staff is very generous and kind. The girl serving us was very helpful and catered to my many demands. I was very satisfied with her services. The staff was attentive and constantly filled our water cups and asked us what we needed during our meal. However, there were things that bothered me about this place. The baskets of fries were kind of small. The fries themselves tasted wonderful and fresh cut (though I want to say they're under-fried and not as crispy as I like them), but they did not fill the baskets brimming to the top with fries. They filled them up, but it wasn't anything to get excited about. Another thing -- they will tell you that the extra spicy is very spicy and that a mild is like a medium in different places. I guess some people are not accustomed to eating spicy foods and complained, but I personally LOVE food with a good kick. So, I took their advice and took the spicy instead of extra spicy and it turned out to not be spicy enough. My tolerance level sits at around XXX from Boiling Crab and ends at Blazin' wings from BWW as a point of comparison. If you think you can handle and maybe enjoy your food a little hotter, I suggest you take their warnings with a grain of salt. On the other hand, I do appreciate that they warn those who cant handle the heat to back off from taking on more than they can handle. I do recommend this place as a great alternative to driving half an hour to Boiling Crab. It has a stronger flavor than Rockstar Shrimp, and for that I give this place preference in the future when I am craving cajun seafood and do not feel like driving too far. I will return, and hopefully, I can try the raw oysters and fried baskets next time. read more
