I had the gumbo here. It was really good. They have pork sausage but I was able to get it without pork. The gumbo was good. They also allowed me to put a half pound of snow crab into my gumbo. THEY TAKE RESERVATIONS PEOPLE! This is the only cajun place that will take reservations. With a large family, a reservation is absolutely necessary. Also, makes my life easier. THANK YOU! ANNND the food is DELICIOUS! My family liked it much better than the cajun place in Ontario. Up there with Boiling Crab. The spice is at the same level as Boiling Crab. They don't charge for water (unlike most cajun places). LOVE that they don't use paper cups (GO GREEN!). My whole family got different flavors, and they all loved it! They do not do half pounds. We ordered 2 lbs of shrimp (1 Cajun, 1 butter) and 1 lbs of mussels (Cajun). Food was delicious. Tasted fresh, big shrimp, and well cooked. Flavor was amazing. I came to this place because I saw all the great reviews on Yelp. I have got to say I was very disappointed with my dinner last night. My daughter (age 20) and I ordered 2 pounds of shrimp in garlic butter sauce mild, potatoes, sausage and corn. The sauce didn't taste like garlic butter at all. The sauce was very disappointing. It just tasted like a bunch of spices thrown together with no thought and with no love. The shrimp itself lacked flavor. The shrimp tasted like it was just cooked plain with no flavor and when a customer places their order. they just pour shrimp into a bag., then throw in a the sauce afterwards. I can't explain the flavor, but it was just blah. The potato's were cooked perfectly. The corn was mushy and not sweet at all. The sausage would be only thing that had flavor to it and tasted ok. I've been to another restaurant like this one before and the sauce was delicious. But not this place. Also we never got the bubble hand wash thing shown in the yelp review pictures. But they did offer us 2 little moisture handi-wipes wipes. On the positive side of my review. The staff is pretty friendly. They came by once and asked if everything was ok and refilled our drinks a for us. I paid close to $60 for dinner for two and left very disappointed. I would give this place a 2 out of 10 for the food. The service gets 9 out of 10, because they were all a pretty friendly group of workers and walking around if I needed anything. read more

This place is new and I do think it's promising. There a few things they're lacking in, in my opinion, but with it being new there's room for improvement. Pros: * The flavoring was really good. Not exactly like Boiling Crab, but every restaurant will be slightly different. I don't think it's fair to discredit their flavoring based on the fact that it doesn't taste exactly like Boiling Crab's. * The portioning is hit or miss. The 1lb shrimp and 1lb mussels were more than enough. But the Cajun fries, which were really good, barely filled half of the basket. I believe it was $3.50? (I could be wrong.) for the basket of Cajun fries. (pro&con?) * The ambiance of the place is very casual. Nice dinning and decor. Everything is more modern looking than BC. Also the space is refreshing since a lot of these places are usually small. * Final pro is that the barely existing wait is great! BC fans know that the wait is ridiculous 9/10 times. Cons: * Sausage order is half of an actual sausage for $2? It wasn't cut up and it was rather small.. disappointed. * Mentioned in my pros ^ the Cajun fries were less than half way filled.. :( * No bibs :( These are almost essential for places like this! We ordered 3 pounds of crawfish, 3 orders of sausages and 10 corns to go.... my sister picked up the order for me....when we opened up the bag there was no sausages at all and instead there was potatoes, definitely not 3 pounds of crawfish but more like 2 pounds... so I called the place right away to let them know that they had given us potatoes instead of sausages.... I had to wait on the phone for about 10 minutes before I spoke to the manager... and to my suprise the manager was not even helpful at all...the manager told me to send a picture of our order to confirmed we didnt get the sausages...and to bring the whole order back... really? Would I have call back to let them know they messed up on our order? But to send a picture to his phone to prove to him we were not lying? That is ridicious... so I did what was asked...and I sent him a photo... I had to call to make sure he recieved it but again I had to wait on the phone for another 10 minutes... Never again will I be going back here or to order to go... It is their job to get our order corecct... not mess it up and ask us to send a photo and bring the whole bag back for a replacement... horrible horrible read more

I would have to say I was unimpressed with the pricing and quality of food we received. My coworker and I visited this establishment on March the 2nd to grab some dinner. We had full intentions of spending a few hours there but unfortunately weren't willing to spend much more than the hour that we had. When we got there the service was on the laxed end. It took at least 5 minutes to get our drinks ordered and there were only three other tables occupied. Well we both decided on the catfish platter and decided to get lobster tails as well. Upon ordering the lobster tails we were notified that it would be $45 for two (we thought that was a little on the pricey side considering we've purchased a bucket of lobster for that price but continued with the order). The catfish meal was listed as 3 pieces of fish with fries and corn on the cob. Well when they said 3 pieces of fish they meant a half fillet torn in three (not worth it). We were told the lobster tails were a decent size-well we got them and they were small, overcooked, and completely shelled so we struggled to get them out. Oh and the sausage we ordered to add to the lobster tasted like a BAR-S frank. I'm giving two stars because the catfish (the small pieces that we did get were good). The fries were okay, corn on the cob tasted like it had been cooked and sitting out all day, lobster lacked seasoning and was over cooked. The wine overpriced-$30 for a bottle of MOSCATO? Wow. Endless to say we spent over $120 for the meal that did not satisfy us in the least bit. We would have been okay spending that amount feeling like we got our money's worth but we felt robbed. Needless to say-you live and you learn so we would definitely not go there again. read more

Went in at lunch time on a weekday. Place is nice and clean. We were the only ones here at the time. Ordered 1lbs shrimp lemon pepper. 2lbs crawfish lemon pepper. Flavor was good and on point. Maybe needed just slightly more for my taste but good overall. The shrimp were good and cooked perfectly. Very good size with good flavor. No complaints. Crawfish were a little small but had some that were big (he did warn me though, due to just the start of the season). I got sausage and corn as well. Both very good. The sausage are the sausage I usually get for myslef which taste amazing (Hillshire Farms Polska Kielbasa). Garlic fries were average. Would definitely come back if I crave it again.
