Literally the worst place. They had 1 waitress and the owner just sitting there sleeping. All the food was cold and their sauce has no flavor. Hands down my favorite seafood place to come to! Have tried others but this place will always end up on the top of my list! Love getting the whole shrimp with mix all and mild, love the sauce that they are in that leaves you wanting more as well as the satisfaction of licking your fingers once you are done. So based on food I give 5 star, minus 1 star for service attention and minus 1 star for charges. Let me explain, service attention, the gentleman was to busy on his phone to notice I was ready to order also too busy to make sure I C has my check nor did he ask if I wanted water, another beer or dessert. Charges seriously your already charging an extra $1.75 to throw seasoning on the fries that come with the meal, but to charge another $1.25 on top of that for lemon pepper added. That's $3 extra for seasoning. Now I of course don't have to order the beer at $6.59 but it does go well with the meal. So I paid $18.03 for a shrimp basket with seasoned fries and a beer when originally the special was shrimp and fries for $6.99 beer $6.59. I don't know $3 for seasoning I just can't wrap my brain around it, and I know the server was the owner so there is a choice. When our food came out, it ended up being over cooked & didn't have enough of the seasoning. -1 The heads of the shrimps were falling off & some were very small. -1 Oysters & clams: over cooked & the did not even mix well with the seafood seasoning. Some were missing alot of the meat inside & was no where to be found . The very little amount of sauce that they did give us for the seafood mix was extremely salty & very lacking in flavor. -1 Regular fries: greasy & very salty -1 Service: C- Very attentive in the beginning but afterwards they ignored us & didn't even check up on us/ made sure that our drinks were full/not. When you check in, you can get a FREE soda. I've seen other restaurants that have this but they have a fine print stating that it is one per table. We showed the check in to our waitress, who was friendly, and she stated it was good. She came with the drinks and then we had another waitress, who looks like it could be the owner, come over and tell us that the free drink was only one per table. What sucked was that they told us after they gave us our drinks. Again, there was no fine print that stated it but since we were hungry and wanted to try this place out, we kept to it and was willing to pay the extra $5 or so for the drinks. So besides that, the food is actually good quality. The crawfish and oysters were fresh and they didn't taste like they were frozen. The shrimp was good too but the sauce was not as thick as Boiling Crab. Warning! It goes from Mild to Spicy and you can definitely feel the kick. My friend even had a little trouble with the Mild because it tasted like it should be hot. They also serve Macarons and other desserts after; roughly about $2 each. They even have that dry ice hands wash thing that looks pretty cool. I'd say they change that Yelp check in thing but all in all the food was great. read more

We barely moved to riverside and there is no boiling crab over here I was iffy about trying a different place but once I tried them the flavor is as good or even better !!! Located across the Tyler Galleria in a small strip mall. Parking was limited though. I've had Star Crab in the past, but decided to give this place a try after seeing the high ratings overall. The ratings were definitely misleading though. Ordered two pounds of shrimp with their mild spicy house special sauce. Most of the shrimps in the bag were way too overcooked and not fresh. Some of the shrimps were mushy and some had meat stuck on their shell, making it difficult to detach (signs that it was not fresh). For $25.99 I expected better quality. It is easy to tell that they made their sauce then put the shrimps in instead of making the shrimp in the sauce. The sauce had a good kick of spice to it, but tasted salty and watery. The reviews saying that the shrimp is overcooked and has a rubbery texture is pretty accurate. Not sure if I just came on a bad day and got a bad batch, but I wasn't satisfied overall. The quality of the shrimp and sauce did not meet my expectations. I don't like to eat overcooked shrimp that is not fresh with watery sauce. I was surprised because there were actually people waiting in line when I came. It was my first time here, but I'm not sure if I will be back. They do have two combos to choose from one that was $65 and the other $100 with no substitution. So we had to go Alcarte instead since I didn't want crawfish, mussel, corn, Sausage, and crab leg. -1 lbs peaked shrimp mild sauce. The sauce was salty and the shrimp was overcooked. Defiantly not what I expected - 1lbs clams w/spicy sauce. Again sauce was salty was the heat was just perfect if you like heat. Since they are limited to there sauce selection and base on my food experience the food quality was not there. Sauces at these type of places are my make it or break it type of deal in addition to food quality. Salty shall I say, fishy taste on Tilapia and shrimp overcooked are just my deal breaker.
