I was given a start date, only to later find out that the establishment was actually closed that day. No one from management informed me. I had to go out of my way to contact another owner whose number I found on Instagram just to be told the place was closed. Situations like this show a serious lack of organization and respect for people's time. If management cannot properly communicate something as basic as whether the business is open, it raises concerns about how the establishment is run overall. I also noticed that most of the reviews here appear to be from several years ago, which makes me question whether the current experience reflects what customers can expect today. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to do their research before choosing to support this business.

As far as the food goes.. it was the best I've had from a restaurant in a while! We got the homemade chicken tenders (not pictured because it was too good to photograph), and the chicken egg rolls which were big enough to get full off of just one roll. I enjoyed the sauce that came with the egg rolls, it paired well with the ingredients inside . If you don't feel like sitting inside they also do delivery ! I visited Harold's for the second time and unfortunately had a very different experience than my…read morefirst visit. Let me start with the positives: the food was good, the atmosphere was beautiful, and our server was pleasant and did her best during what appeared to be a very busy playoff night. The restaurant was crowded, so I understand delays can happen. The issue came when my boyfriend received a Long Island Iced Tea that did not taste right. He stirred it, took a few sips to test it, and then brought it to the bar to ask about it. He was instructed to wait for his server. By the time she returned, some time had passed and the ice had naturally begun to melt. The server agreed the drink appeared watered down and went to get a manager. Unfortunately, the interaction with management was where the experience went downhill. Before fully listening to the situation, the manager immediately became defensive and repeatedly stated that "all drink sales are final" and that this was how the drink was measured and prepared. As someone with over 20 years of management experience, I understand that not every complaint results in a refund or replacement. However, customer service starts with listening and understanding the concern before responding. A simple conversation, explanation, or even a professional acknowledgment of our concern would have gone a long way. What disappointed me was not the drink itself--it was the way the situation was handled. Good customer service can often turn a problem into a positive experience. Unfortunately, the manager's approach made us feel dismissed rather than valued as customers. We spent nearly $100 during our visit and paid the additional service charge that is automatically added to checks. Combined with the valet and parking fees being charged that evening, we expected a higher level of customer care. I still believe Harold's is a beautiful establishment with good food and a great atmosphere. My hope is simply that management takes customer concerns more seriously and approaches situations like this with professionalism and respect.

The decor is absolutely beautiful -- it honestly felt like stepping into a swanky restaurant tucked away somewhere in Manhattan. I definitely was not expecting that kind of atmosphere. The staff is just as polished as the restaurant itself. Even while busy, they stayed attentive, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. The whole experience from start to finish was top tier. We led with one of the House Favorites, Fried Salmon Bites, they were fried to perfection and served with this delicious dipping sauce that wasn't spicy at all, which I loved. For the main course I ordered Lamb Chops, Mac and cheese and yams. The Lamp Chop dinner is $45. Although it says $39. on the online menu it was no problem at all because those lamb chops were worth every single bite. The lamb chops were seasoned very well and cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese and the yams fell in well with the dinner. This is a meal I could eat every day. I will dine here for all my lamb chop cravings. The rest of the hens in my party ordered Grilled Shrimp and Grits and Carribean Salmon Pasta. My granddaughter enjoyed her cheese burger and fries. We enjoyed our experience here and will be back soon. There is plenty of easy parking outside.

Considering I already think NYC has thee best food options, I went in open and hopeful to be proven wrong. I arrived excited and ready to vibe, but that excitement quickly faded. The aesthetic, or lack thereof, was disappointing. I expected something vibrant, colorful, or even a chic modern look. Instead, the space felt neglected and unkept. I was also surprised by the absence of music, which immediately threw off the atmosphere, though I tried to keep in mind that this isn't NYC. Once seated, I noticed how mash-up the chairs were. Mine literally had exposed nails. Still, in anticipation of mimosas and Jamaican food for brunch, I shifted slightly to the side and focused on enjoying my best friend's company. Our server was just alright. Very much giving "here for the paycheck," not necessarily service-driven. Unfortunately, that's become common these days, so I adjusted my expectations, and tipped accordingly. The menu itself had promise. I appreciated the Southern fusion options with a Jamaican twist, and the hookah menu was surprisingly comprehensive, though we chose not to order one. We opted for the unlimited mimosas, and to be fair, we definitely got our money's worth. That said, I was disappointed to learn they were pre-mixed. I prefer fresh orange juice with popped brut or sparkling, and once I saw how the drinks were prepared, it made sense for a busy brunch crowd- just not my preference. For food, we ordered the oxtail egg rolls to start, along with the Spice Breakfast and chicken and waffles. Everything was... fine. No real complaints, but no standout moments either. Overall, the brunch was okay. I might give them another try for dinner, but this visit didn't quite live up to the expectations.

When we arrived around 7 pm, I was expected there to be lot of folks inside but that was not the case. Stepping into the restaurant for the first time, I must say I really liked the open setup, decor, and chill vibe. Once the dj arrived, the music blasted which kind of interrupted the chill vibe but all in all we had a great time. There were some drink specials and while I did not partake, I could see from the bar that there was a large selection of liquor and those who did order drinks said that they were pretty good. The menu We had a large party and while our waitress, Sally, was amazing but for a large party there should have been a bit more help besides her and one other waitress handling the other half of the group to help move service along. There were times were drink and food orders never showed but once we let them know items were missing, they apologized and would be back shortly with the items. I had the smash nachos and added shrimp. While it's considered and app the portion size was huge! I couldn't finish it and took it home to enjoy the next day which reheated well in the air fryer lol! The nachos were reallllly good and there was nothing lacking in terms of ingredients. My husband got the loaded shrimp quesadilla and he loved it. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal and several folks talked about how good their margaritas were. I'd definitely come back here if I'm in the area and try some other items on their menu especially because there are other items that looked pretty tasty!

We did end up moving to the patio, though small and not the most comfortable for a hippy girl like me, but outside fresh air, is always a plus.
