This is my go to place to satisfy my seafood and gumbo craving! Seafood Zone is located in a strip mall off General DeGaulle, so there's ample parking. The inside is always spotless, every time I visit. The staff are so friendly and are always ready to take your order. They're currently selling crawfish for $4.59/lb (it's $9+ in Houston). The gumbo is to die for! The roux is made with love and it is very meaty and every scoop fills your spoon. They have a wide range of other menu items and everyone, that I know, who has eaten here always leaves very satisfied. They also have a fully stocked cooler with a wide range of sodas, water, juices, and drinks to wash down your meal. They close at 7pm, so I would recommend getting there as soon as possible. When ordering they also give you a ticket number and that keeps wait area running in an orderly fashion, especially during busy times. They also provide seating, so that you can rest your tail while you wait. I've actually eaten here 4 days in a row and today will make day 5. The food is so good, I haven't cooked in over a week. Stop by and tell them I sent you!

The damn turkey wing was so good I was trying to get the flavor off my fingers and the bones after I washed my damn hands...Hmmm I should have bought more is the only solution.

Gumbo

Great tasting gumbo for a nice price with more than enough portion sizes. Friendly staff as well! Will definitely be back.

I called and asked if they had boiled crabs and they told me no in a condescending tone. A "seafood zone" without boiled crabs... okay

Beautiful weather in New Orleans today and decided to have a picnic in my backyard, so of course I…read morestopped by J&J to grab a couple pounds of boiled crawfish and sausage for the occasion. No line, and I could smell the boil from the Main Street! Now, it's still early in the season so it was $8.99/lb but still worth it. Crawfish was juicy, flavorful, with tolerable spice! Listen, this is NOT a dine-in type of place, so get yours and find you somewhere else to congregate lol I love that it's a smaller, family owned business because the customer service is a 10, ALWAYS.

I had waited 10 minutes in line behind a lady that bought what's left of crawfish they had boiled in the container "about 6lbs" Thinking they had more being boil in the back, but was just told they're sold out. There was an hour and 45 minutes before they were time to close. I believe that's more than enough time to not have a mother batch ready to be taken out to sell. The next time I came was a short line of 5 people ahead of me. I had to wait for about 20-30 minutes. The crawfish was excellent compared to most places I've tried around and cross town but it just wasn't $7.49 good while mostly all seafood stores were $5.99 lbs and under on their price. Besides the service of waiting and price, the flavor and texture , everything was on point.
