I always wanted to try this bakery and finally got to try. It is a small bakery with a lot of Korean inspired flavoured pastries. The owner is a Korean American and myself being a Korean I truly appreciate using some Korean ingredients this way. The service was helpful and good; since the bakery is small and popular there was a line going out the store at 9:30am on a weekday. I highly encourage one to go there on the earlier side if you want a good selection. There is not much seating inside (I think few window seatings), and couple of tables outside. I got Hotteok heart rice cake, Black Sesame velvet cake, Makgeolli snickerdoodle cookie, and Doenjang caramel sticky bun. Out of all these I really liked the Doenjang caramel sticky bun - I felt the flavour of Doenjang (Korean miso paste) was used the best. Hotteok rice cake was a bit too sweet for me (although I understood the concept of it), Makgeolli snickerdoodle did not deliver for me since the Makgeolli (Korean rice wine) didn't come through. Black Sesame velvet cake was very rich, and if you like black sesame flavour you will like this. I would definitely go back and try other pastries and drinks (since I did not try their drinks yet). I do have to say their pastries are on a more expensive side especially if you are getting multiple pastries.

This bakeshop is so adorable and has many delicious looking options! They also have coffees with housemade syrups, which I always appreciate. I got the vanilla bean latte, which wasn't quite flavorful enough for me so next time I'll try a more fun flavor, but it was still tasty! They have a wonderful variety of unique baked goods, and it was so hard for me to decide which to get. I landed on the gochujang cheese scallion bun, which had a little kick to it and a lovely fluffy texture. I also got the black velvet sesame cake to enjoy later, and it was amazing! Great flavors and textures all around. The inside of the shop is super cute and clean, with some seating available. The girls working the shop were so sweet, patient, and helpful as well and made it a lovely environment to be in. I'll definitely be back to try more!

This little bake shop offers unique pastries with fun flavors. The black velvet sesame cake we ordered was overall pretty good. The cake itself has a foot texture but I wish we got more of the frosting and chocolate, as that's where most of the flavor was. My biggest qualm is the lack of searing. It is a small place so it is understandable, but it is definitely a to go sort of bakery. The service was helpful and patient.

Great service, small interior but super cute! Bakery items a bit on the pricey side but pretty yummy. Clean bathroom in the back too!

Ohh I really wanted to like this place. Perhaps it's a one-off kind of visit, I stopped by about 30 min before closing time and my choices were the gochujang or doenjang roll. I was interested in the spicy so I got a gochujang roll to go. Flavor was subtle and interesting, but the rest of the roll that didn't have the gochujang flavor was just meh. And $10 for a single roll was a bit hefty for my wallet

This bakery shop is very nice. Small, very little seating area. The service in taking the order was good. But the waiting was long. When we arrived most of the popular pastry were gone. The ones that were left were slim pickings. The cookies was very good - wheat chocolate cookie Kimchi Bulgogi empanada- very moist and tasty.

This is a really cute and cozy cafe with a welcoming interior. I loved the salted strawberry matcha! The scallion cheese bun wasn't too my liking but it is one of the specialty pastries. The chocolate buckwheat cookie was soft and chewy which I enjoyed.

I've seen good reviews and Instagram posts about this bakery, so I decided to stop by on Friday morning around 11. I saw a couple of people waiting outside the door because there's not much room for people standing in lim inside. Fortunately the line moved fast. I got all of the hand pies: mushroom bulgogi, ricotta kimchi, and kabocha curry. All of them have a nice light and fresh pastries. I wish there is more fillings because the flavors are on point. My favorites are the curry and kimchi. The cookies are fresh and sweet. I appreciate the environmentally friendly and sturdy paper containers On a nice day you can sit outside because there are several chairs and tables.

A small bakery/ coffee shop. Had the strawberry tea and a americano to drink. Both was well balance. Would 1000 percent recommend the sweet cinnamon bun. It wasn't overly sweet. Many desserts feel like having it is guilty. But this didn't feel like that at all

It's sometimes hard to sea the forest through the trees with how many new spots there are in Philly but this Korean inspired bakeshop is worth a visit! Cute atmosphere, a few tables outside and a few seats inside and a case full of super interesting and delicious sweet and savory baked goods you've never seen anywhere else. Everything I've tried has been delicious, from the doenjang cinnamon bun to the gochujang scallion cheese bun, kinako sesame cookie, lemon curd madeleine, and the kimchi ricotta tart. Every time I go I have to restrain myself from getting too many things and remind myself that I can come back. Go sea them, and it wouldn't be the worst idea if you forest a few of your friends to come with you to share all the deliciousness!

Cute bakery with fun offerings and friendly service. Got a yummy salted caramel cookie. A bit pricey for the size, but a good sweet treat nonetheless.

Too many good things to say about this cute lil cafe, delicate welcoming interior. There was no a single item we got that we didn't like: black sesame cake, pistachio lime cake, coffee injeolmi streusel cake, pocket lies were all 100. We actually had to come back for the scallion gochujang and caramel dwenjang buns because they were already sold out as their best sellers so we had to wait for the next batch. The lady at the front kindly fulfilled our request to have one of each flavor set aside for us to come back and pickup in another hour, really appreciate it! This shop has so many unique and intentionally curated flavors stemming from the owners Korean American origin. Will definitely be visiting whenever I'm back in town, would highly recommend going to check out and trying anything!

The curry puff pastry I had was incredible. Black sesame cake looked very tempting as well. I think this spot is maybe a bit too popular for the bakery size. It looks peaceful in photos but it's actually very busy. The shop interior was cheery and welcoming with lots of blonde wood and plants. The seating situation was unfortunate. This will be a great summer/ spring spot to visit when they have the outdoor chairs. In winter it's only 4 indoor chairs, right by the door/line to pay - if you do manage to snag a seat you'll be frozen from the constant door opening and stressed out by the line of people anxiously checking if you've finished your pastry. I don't think I've ever had 10 people just watching me eat before. I also had the banana matcha latte which was fantastic with a fresh banana in it. The barista was too generous with my matcha shot and I got the caffeine jitters a bit later. Not sure how many grams was in my latte but it felt like over 4 or a more caffeinated blend than I'm used to.

A few additional cookies tossed in our delivery for free, made it feel like a better value since we had some leftover to enjoy with morning coffee. The Deluxe cookies were a treat w/ the peanut butter varieties a fav, but ALL the cookies, including the ones I didn't pick, were delicious. A little annoying the upcharges for deluxe varieties when I thought that was the point of picking an option that includes them, but the additional free cookies helped soften that. I swing by Insomnia Cookies on random days too because sometimes you just need a warm cookie to reset your mood. They always come out soft, gooey, and fresh from the oven. The store itself is clean and kind of cool to look at. There's a whole wall covered in giant industrial-style on and off switches. I still wish I could have pulled one just to see what would happen. Staff was chill and genuinely helpful. They were patient while we tried to figure out which cookie was which during the ranking, and they kept the energy light and fun. Same when they handed out the free boxes. Whoever runs the HQ location clearly knows how to make the experience feel special.

Even the grilled bread used for the bruschetta tasted fresh. Arancini with pork and veal ragu peas was great; the peas added a new texture to the traditional arancini. We also got fried artichokes as an appetizer. It was crispy and salty -- I could munch on that alone. For the entree, I got the veal braciole with tagliatelle and tomato sugo. The whole dish tasted homey, like what you would get at an Italian family's house. The veal braciocle was small, and I wished there was more protein and less pasta to be more balanced. For dessert, everyone raved about their gelato. Their pistachio flavor was clearly a favorite, as it had intense fresh pistachio flavor. It was also tan in color, as you would expect a pistachio nut to be, not the artificial green color added to other pistachio gelatos. I had the amaretto cherry flavor. It was good too, although I wished it had more cherries. A few people got their espresso, and really enjoyed it. They roast their own coffee on-site, so I am not surprised again how fresh it tasted. Tip: Pour a little of their fantastic coffee over your gelato to make your own fresh affogato. I came here with a large group and despite the tight space, we felt cozy. Service was spectacular. We had multiple food allergies in the group, and the waitstaff took each one very seriously, asking down to the detail if the allergy was by consumption or cross-contamination. Thank you to the staff for being so conscientious!

They definitely seem consistent, which I really appreciate. I came with a couple of friends on a Saturday afternoon, and wow... this place was packed. Even with the crowd, the staff stayed friendly and worked quickly, so we didn't have to wait too long for our drinks. One thing I still love is the seating. They have giant plushies sitting in the booths, so if you're by yourself, you're not just awkwardly staring at an empty seat across from you. Maybe I'm the only one who appreciates that, but I think it's a cute touch. The matcha here is the real deal. It's bright green, fragrant, and has that rich, earthy flavor with just enough natural bitterness that you know they're using quality matcha. A lot of places advertise matcha, but this one actually delivers. I ordered one of their matcha desserts with ice cream, and it was creamy, refreshing, and let the matcha flavor shine instead of burying it under sugar. My only complaint is that it was pretty warm inside. It was a hot summer day, and I honestly couldn't tell if the air conditioning was running or if it was just fans. Either way, it wasn't very cool inside. Thankfully I had ice cream, so it didn't bother me too much, but it's something to keep in mind if you're stopping by on a really hot day. Overall, another great visit. Friendly staff, consistently high-quality matcha, and a fun atmosphere. If you're a matcha lover, this is still one of my favorite spots in Chinatown.
