I believe if this is change is made that this location would be a good place to go. Also leaving the original post so this update actually makes sense*** I took my dog to this place over christmas this year and when I picked her up she was covered head to tail in a very serious staff infection. I am not sure where she picked her up and there was no way to be certain, but what I can say is that there is no way that they could have over looked this. If they had contacted me we might have been able to start meds sooner. When I took her to the vet I was getting asked questions to help streamline her treatment, but when I called they would only keep telling me that the manager was in a meeting and would call me as soon as possible. This is the excuse I got the next day too. So far the manager hasn't called me. Edit: To be clear (in response to Brian) I don't think it was caused by the stay there, but it did get significantly worse to the point that it would be impossible to not notice it. The only way it could happen is if nobody spent a lot of time with her, which was a service that I did pay for.

We informed them it was spelled wrong and they 'corrected' it as BISKIT... 2) We brought a sample in containing a worm and asked them to look at it. They called back and informed us that the sample tested negative. We were confused and asked for clarification on what exactly was tested? They said they didn't find anything. We reiterated that we brought in a sample containing a worm so how would there not be anything found when a worm was in the sample? They said they would go check again, and called back and said 'yepp there's a worm and 3 parasites'... 3) Called and they were confused because there were two dogs with the same first name and last name but spelled differently. We informed them that yes, that was your staff that incorrectly spelled her name TWICE so they ended up making two separate accounts which lead to confusion on their end anytime we called... 3) Fast forward about 6 months later, we received email reminders for her checkup. We called to make an appt and was told there was no record for a Biscuit in their system.... so how are we receiving emails? We have been there 4 times how are there no records? Receptionist got extremely rude and kept asking 'are you sure this is the right vet?' after we informed her for the 3rd time this was the correct vet, we have been there multiple times, and you are the one sending us emails. We told her either name it could be under and she continued to tell us there was no record but that someone with our dog's name did have the same last name, but a different first name... the spouses name was also the same name we had given them...the same phone numbers and the same emails....but you couldn't 'find it' and had 'no record?'.... 4) Told them we are done with this vet and their incompetence, and asked them to send over her records which we still have yet to receive.

Our rat terrier was with no more than 4 other small dogs at time. He had a good time and is still recovering 2 days later from all of the playing. We received a tour of the resort and we were impressed. You can send your dog to the spa and be bathed before you pick him up. They also have a "taxi" that can pick your dog up at your home if necessary. Extremely professional and competent. They did not make me feel crazy or overbearing when I called to check in and see how our puppy dog was. We will absolutely be back. Thanks Fort Knox.

Please see my previous review as well…read more Tucker has been going to Ft. Knox since February 2015 and every single time we've left him, he's come home happy & totally exhausted from playing with the other dogs. I wanted to update my review because this past weekend was the first time we asked them to give him a bath and trim his nails the day we picked him up. THIS is how it should be done you guys! Tucker smelled SO good and was so handsome in the bandana they put on him. This is still the best of the best!! The people there are so, so good to my puppy and I am so thankful we have a place to take him. I still HIGHLY recommend Ft. Knox for boarding but also for baths & nail trims.

    - Save Your Dogs from This "Resort"…read more Do NOT be fooled by the word "resort" in this place's name. What my two dogs received was nothing short of a prison sentence -- and an expensive one at that. Their 5-day stay cost me more than my own vacation at a resort in Galveston. I did my due diligence. I visited the facility in person before booking. It looked beautiful, the staff seemed attentive, and the other pet owners coming and going appeared happy with their experience. I left feeling confident my dogs were in good hands. That confidence was a mistake. I paid for an XL suite so both dogs could stay together and have a comfortable, resort-style experience. I also paid for the "Gold Social Play Package" for BOTH dogs -- their most expensive package. What I actually got -- documented on their own camera system -- was day after day of my dogs sitting in a pee-soaked suite. I watched live feed videos. It was not a one-time accident. It was the entire stay. The suite was not being cleaned; my dogs were simply living in their own waste. In five days, I never once saw them out of that suite for more than 10 minutes -- and that brief time out was not even to clean up the filth they were sitting in. I paid a premium for social playtime and received none of it. When I picked them up, their blankets, their toys, and they themselves reeked of urine. It was immediately obvious they had been in that mess for the duration of their visit. Both dogs had a clean bill of health from the vet right before drop-off. Since coming home, they have been vomiting and having diarrhea. The unsanitary conditions they were kept in are the only explanation. I do believe they were fed their regular food, which I sent with them -- so I'll give one star rather than zero. But that is the only positive thing I can say. What I cannot understand is this: I watched other dogs receive attentive, loving care during my pre-visit. I bought your most expensive package. So why did MY dogs spend five days sitting in pee, ignored and neglected? What did I do wrong as a customer? What did my dogs do to deserve less? You charge resort prices. Deliver resort care -- or don't call yourself a resort.
