Hotel was very clean and rooms were a good size. Modern restaurants in the lobby were a bit pricey, but it is a pricey hotel. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and it was very good. The rooms were updated and clean. This hotel gets 5 stars because of the amazing hotel gym and pool. These are a big deal for me and my family. The gym was very large and had updated equipment. The pool was very nice, and had lap lanes. The facility was excellent. If you like to workout when staying in hotels, you'll be very satisfied. It's one of the best hotel gyms I have seen. read more

I don't have anything major to say about this hotel except for prices. I get it, its Boston so things are expensive, but first of all, its an additional $100+ for a room with a view, when the room without a view is already close to $400- outrageous. The room was nice....but not $400 nice. What I am SHOCKED about is that late night I went to the bar with my husband for one cocktail after seeing a show. I got Bailey's on the rocks. The cost of the Baileys is what it is but they CHARGED ME $4 FOR THE ICE!!!! WHAT THE F?!?! How can you charge an ADDITIONAL $4 for ICE??!?! Sooo If I got a martini and asked for a side of ice I have to pay for it??? WTF? Not acceptable. Up side is that the staff were all very nice and the hotel beds were extremely comfortable. I would stay here again but definitely not go to their bar. RIP-OFF read more

I always enjoy my stay, dining, and drinking experience. All the staff service and hospitality are excellent. The rooms have a touch of nautical feature to it. The rooms are pretty spacious. The fitness center is surprisingly bigger than I expected. It got my job done at their fitness center. The fitness center is one of my top checklists when I travel. We got married in the Seaport of Boston on September 8th. It was a destination wedding. Our entire wedding party and more than half of our guests stayed at the Seaport Hotel. We also held our rehearsal dinner there on September 7th. I rarely write reviews and when I do, they are usually negative. I cannot give enough positive feedback about the Seaport Hotel and the team of professionals working there. Craig Cunningham and Marianna Accomando and their teams are outstanding! No detail was overlooked. They were responsive and beyond accommodating of all our requests. Our dinner Friday night was fantastic. The room was perfect, the food was creative and delicious and the team that worked the party was wonderful. All of the Hotel suites and rooms were super clean and very comfortable. LOVE their beds. And it is 100% worth paying for a room with a view! Amazing!!! We ordered room service several times while there. We were impressed with the quality of the food AND how quickly it was delivered. In other hotels, you wait too long. We had several guests tell us they had never stayed in the Seaport and that when they go back to Boston, they plan to stay at the Seaport Hotel. (Crossposting on Expedia where I made my booking.) In brief: Clean, modern, friendly, beautiful, great location I needed a staycation. This is my city, where I've lived for over a decade, from which I've traveled to many destinations. And yet, in this winter, having been exhausted by the exciting daily life of a bean counter with very few beans in their own pocket, I wanted to find a getaway not too far from home. By not too far I mean it's a very reasonable Uber/Lyft/T ride away. As I felt the calling by the ocean, so I answered. Thanks to my accumulated Expedia points, I got to stay at this gorgeous hotel right by the Boston Harbor for a very modest amount of beans out of pocket. My vague sense of guilt from such indulgence disappeared as soon as I opened the door into my ocean-facing hotel room. Such clean space with modern fixtures, awesome light & music system, gorgeous bathroom, nice king bed, chic working desk, and a nice view of the gentle blue waves with lazy ships. It was like walking into a dream where I was the star protagonist who deserved only the best of everything, with a happily ever after on the aqua-horizon. I shall note that this view was a last-minute upgrade made possible by the very friendly front desk staff who was incredibly nice to move things around for me, so I could get an upgrade from a regular room to this room. Also, the doorperson whom I had never met in my life greeted me with such warmth saying, "Welcome back!" Perhaps we had met in a previous life. For anyone visiting Boston, this is a solid choice. Pamper yourself as I did mine. Happy stay! Pluses: Friendly staff. Clean, modern facility. Indoor pool! Nearby notes: Great location right by the T! Lyft/Uber rides to downtown at modest price. This particular hotel is a great wedding venue choice. There are several different options for your beautiful reception. There are 5 different ballrooms to choose from here as we'll as some nicely appointed outdoor spaces if the weather permits. They all are amazing in their own way. First of all there is the Flagship ballroom with magnificent floor to ceiling windows and a breathtaking view on five sides of this octagonal space. It is nice for a smaller intimate reception setting or a larger bridal shower type party. The plaza ballroom has many great features and is a more formal space. This is a truly larger space for a large wedding function or conference. I like the beautiful double door entrance to add drama to the event. The lighthouse ballroom is one of my favorites as it boasts a uniqueness that lends itself nicely to an elegant event with character. This room is 2 levels and has my favorite views of all the ballrooms here. There is also the harbor view and city view ballrooms which are nice but if given a choice one of the other aforementioned ballrooms would be a more elegant choice I'm my opinion. The staff at this hotel are always courteous and available for your every need. The food is also something that should revive kudos as the chefs are talented and always deliver high quality meals. If you are looking to book a wedding here you should book a time to tour all the rooms and reserve early. This venue books up fast! But is highly recommended. read more

We recently planned a wedding reception on the Seaport Elite across the street. When we contacted the Seaport Hotel (unaffiliated, I believe) a few months ahead of time, they were beyond accommodating. From the moment guests arrived, their experience was beyond expectations. They were greeted with gift bags that the staff accurately handed out and welcomed to clean rooms and spectacular views. And to say that the rooms are clean is an understatement. The rooms are spotless. The guest discount they offered for the wedding party was also nice. For no additional cost, they upgraded my partner and I and his parents to a suite. From the multi-directional shower to the television in the bathroom mirror, to the delivered free bottles of water and bags of ice, they did not fail to impress. The bar was organized and prompt, able to handle the rush of 40 guests at once prior to the wedding event - and the breakfast buffet in the morning was delicious. Many guests took advantage of the fitness center and spa. Lastly, and this is something specatular for a downtown-area hotel, they always had cabs available. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Boston, simply for the cleanliness, quality, and spectacular views on the higher floors - whether for a wedding or a business trip or a convention. If this supposed 4 star hotel was rated only 1 star, it would still be a total disaster. My overnight, which was supposed to be a self-pampering experience and treat to myself, was a wretched disappointment. First of all, the "little things" which are listed as amenities on the website were lacking. There was no clock, no bathroom niceties like shampoo, conditioner in little bottles, etc.. The telephone was non-functioning. When I picked up the receiver it was dead. Both the TV remote and microwave were difficult to operate and thus very frustrating and stressful. The room, which again was billed as 4 star, was an econobox. The decor was bland and non-descript. It lacked character and individuality and I kept asking myself why it was rated 4 stars. It wasn't much better than a Motel 6, Super 8 or Red Roof Inn. There was little value for my money. Then there was the first real crusher - the hotel restaurant TAMO. When I courteously asked my waiter to bring me a non chilled glass for my beer, he returned with the glass and as he was pouring my Heiniken, he said, something something "...up your ass!" I immediately left and informed both the restaurant manager as well as the Director of Guest Services. Here I was doing something nice for myself and I was totally insulted and offended. The hotel has a "service inclusive" policy so that an 18% tip is automatically added to the check. That policy, I assume, gave my waiter license to abuse me, a paying guest, anyway he saw fit. Then came the second disaster which totally obliterated any remaining goodwill. When I laid down on the bed, I had an extreme allergic reaction. Mildew caused my throat to itch and tickle with post nasal drip, my eyes started to water and I started to violently sneeze. The hotel prides itself on its' choice of pillows and when I went downstairs to complain (no working phone!) the front desk offered me hypo-allergenic pillow which they brought to my room. When I laid down again an hour later, the symptoms started again. Windows can not be opened and the symptoms started again. The mattress had to have been loaded with mildew. (I am not responsible for hotel ventilation or possible Covid issues.) Had I not brought Benadryl with me the night would have been a total hell. When I woke up at 5AM, my bronchial tubes felt constricted and I was coughing up mucous. I started to feel claustrophobic. This hotel really failed my expectations when I forgot a personal item in the hotel on my checkout and remembered that only when I got back home. I called the security and they contacted the lost and found, but its gone!! I told them that I remember where I left it exactly but it was gone! They hotel staff response was like "you already left the hotel!! we can't help you!!" The only negative I must say is that we thought we had a complementary breakfast ! But it wasn't ! I stayed at Seaport for a conference. Where should I start? The website makes it look like a nice hotel until I experienced myself. To be fair, the room itself is not bad. The bathroom is clean and has nice toiletries. The sheet/bed is nice but I do not like the pillow. They do have a pillow library that you can choose different pillow from. I didn't bother with it. Now the complaints 1. The noise level is unbelievable - I had a corner room, I could hear my neighbor takes shower 4 am in the morning. I couldn't sleep after that. I was there for 5 nights and this happened 4 out of 5. 2. The elevator floor buttons don't light up. So you could be like an idiot with another or few other people in there and keep pressing on the button to only notice after few seconds that the light bulbs are out on your side for your floor. This happens in every elevator (they have 4) and almost every floor. This to me is that they do not care about the hotel. 3. Not enough frontdesk people during peak time. On Friday, the day I departure, they have 3 people available yet, that's the time when check in-check out happened too. They were completely swamp and not able to provide any help. 4. Their repairman starts working early. I've never stayed in a hotel (and I've done tons as I was a consultant who traveled 80% of the year), that repair work starts at 7 am. On the only day that my neighbor didn't take shower in the morning, the repairman was there at 7 to drill and hammer. I was glad that I wasn't in town for leisure and didn't have my 5 months old with me. I know I'd be super upset if my baby was there and got woke up by the repairman at 7 am during my vacation. 5. The last but not the least, I gave the front desk my breast milk after I checked in on Sunday night. I asked to have them put in the freezer and I'd picked it up on Friday when I leave. The lady promised me she'd do it right away and make sure it's there for me on Friday. When I went to pick them up on Friday, a guy spent at least 30 minutes, searching them in their 3 big freezer but they were no where to be found. I lost full week worth of supply and I did not even receive a I am sorry that we lost your breast milk. I don't think I'd ever stay there again even if it's free. read more

These were generally for about 300+ guests and I have always been impressed with the staff and the food. I'm sure this is the type of meal you would get if you were planning a wedding here. WOW! The staff at the Seaport Hotel is beyond exceptional. I stayed for three nights for the bar exam (which was held directly across the street) and everyone I encountered was extraordinarily kind and considerate. First, I passed a housekeeper in the hall on the way to my room and she greeted me and asked how my day was instead of ignoring me and looking at the floor. Later, I was unsure of the address of where the bar exam was being held so I asked the concierge. She greeted me with pleasant directions, sincerely wished me luck, and asked if there was anything else she could help with. When asking if a taxi to the airport was hard to get at 5.30 am the concierge again assured me that everything would be taken care of. After the first day of the exam the doorman asked me how the exam went and I told him stressful he told me I would do just fine. I ordered breakfast room service and a small Indian man delivered it to me both mornings. The first morning he sincerely told me that he was sure I would be great in the day and would succeed at anything that I do. As well as being intelligent I was capable. I was floored! This man is amazing! I wanted to take him into the exam with me. The second day he said he remembered me and hoped I did well yesterday and he is sure that I would be amazing that day. WOW! I also had a very oily hair gel explode all over my jeans and sent them to be laundered with my fingers crossed (think 3 full oz. of oil all down the legs). Housekeeping removed EVERY DROP of evidence. Amazing. My dry cleaner can't even do that. Perks - free internet! Wahoo! You can plug your iPod into the Bose alarm clock! Pod-coffee makers in the bathrooms. Large Fog-Free Mirrors in the bathroom - No seriously, clear as day! I would stay at this hotel anytime I have anything going on in the world trade center. Kudos Seaport, and give that small Indian man a raise! read more

This review is a lot of fun to write because I'm actually in the hotel as I review it... how meta. But, this leads me to the first point: This hotel has complementary wireless internet everywhere! Woohoo! I'm staying at the Seaport for a conference at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (located down the block from here), and the location is super-convenient for conference attendees. Unfortunately, it's not particularly convenient for anything else. It's a 15-20 min walk to downtown (and further if you want to explore the trendier Back Bay or South End neighborhoods). You can take the Silver T line to South Station (there's a T stop [World Trade Center] right outside the hotel). But I find that walking takes about the same amount of time. The hotel itself is beautiful! The lobby is stylish and nicely appointed, and my room was very clean and well-lit. The flat-panel TV is a nice modern touch too. I'm ashamed to say how surprised I am about this hotel. We had a private wedding ceremony in Boston on the Seaport on Sunday and our family stayed at the Boston Seaport Hotel. We had nine rooms total. We were blown away by the level of service we received. The valet was the best. They let our car sit outside while we took wedding pics before we removed our bags and parked. THANKS VALETS!!!! This was a big concern of ours, but it worked out. We had champagne and the staff brought glasses to us and cleaned up afterwards. Mind you... we didn't hold our wedding at the hotel. We only had rooms there. The rooms were clean and spacious. Of course, we had the honeymoon suite. It was only $50 more than other rooms, which was crazy. The shower was huge and had jets all over the place. Incredible. They allowed us a 1p check out, which was a big help. So nice. Our family had brunch in the restaurant the next day. We reserved in advance and had our own space to sit. The buffet was awesome. And the servers were on top of everything with drinks, etc. This restaurant does not accept tips, which is a nice touch. (I think the restaurant took tips.) As far as service is concerned, this hotel is as nice I have ever encountered, and that means something because we travel regularly. Even when staff didn't know we were getting married that day, they treated us as though we were. I am blown away. I'm looking forward to coming back for our anniversaries! After having gone to the Mandarin Hotel, the Seaport pales in comparison. We attended a charity event here on 12-10-10. The front doorman was very helpful, but unfortunately he was the only positive thing about our experience. The hotel itself is nice, but nothing special considering the price tag to spend the night. As we were early, we grabbed a drink at the hotel bar - nice of the bartender to NOT tell us that gratuity is included, so he was double tipped. I'm sure he didn't mind. While at the actual charity event, a waiter was rude to my husband. The food was nothing special - mini ham and cheese "grilled" sandwiches, which sounded and looked delicious, tasted bland and were dry. Thankfully I had a drink in hand to wash it down ;) Not a pleasant experience at all. read more

Conferences. Gotta love 'em. Especially when they involve 2 days of very early mornings, a late night AND being forced to sleep in a hotel, even though I live in semi close proximity to the place. The three conference rooms we had were large and pretty nice, but the thermostat must have been set to arctic conditions. It was freezing! I guess they did it to keep us awake. The catered meals varied from delicious to disgusting and the waitstaff was reasonably attentive and accommodating. The hotel room itself was on the 9th floor and had two double beds for myself and my roommate/colleague. It was your basic run of the mill room. No frills. Upon inspecting our quarters, my roommate noticed a sign on the wall indicating that in order to conserve water, the hotel reuses the sheets. Working for a company who's values involve protecting our planet, we thought that was pretty cool. (They also have recycling bins in each room) That was until she pulled back the blanket to discover quite a bit of hair on her sheets. EWWWW! My only complaint about the bed was the heavy comforter that I am convinced was made of cactus hair. I had to pull it off the bed to avoid drawing blood. The channels on the TV kind of sucked. I had a choice of news stations, the airport station, TBS, TNT, and the golf station. Luckily, they also offered HBO, so there was a bit of entertainment to be had. I appreciated the bathroom for it's real hair dryer. NOT the kind that's built into the wall, but an actual dryer that you might have at home. And I highly enjoyed the strong water pressure in the shower this morning. We wanted to order room service but decided to order a pizza instead when we saw that a garden salad was $17. There's also a bar and restaurant in the lobby and of course, being in Boston, there's a plethora of alternative eateries and nightlife only a short T ride away. read more

$300 a night, I'd expect a cleaner bathroom. The floor wasn't swept, there was a Bobby pin on the floor. Toilet paper in the toilet, long black hair on the seat. There's no wash cloths and no soap in the shower. You have to use the soap dispenser by the sink. Take it into the shower with you, but there's no wash cloths, use the one make up wash cloth to clean yourself in the shower. The robe on the door had a large brown spot on one sleeve. I've stayed in motels with cleaner bathrooms. The staff was extremely nice. So I guess the cost is from the nice staff and prime location. There's many cheaper rooms around the same few blocks. UPDATE: checking out, I mentioned the housekeeping challenges I'd found in the bathroom when the front desk agent asked how everything was. She said that she'd take $30 off. I told her that, it was "ok she didn't need to worry about it". She said she'd feel better if she did. Ok, fine. See...again, the staff is above and beyond. Let me tell you more about the staff as I feel I didn't give them enough credit at the first review: Checking in: I was only half of our party, the other half was still waiting for the ferry across the bay and the reservation was under his name. He'd tried contacting them, but was put on hold for 15 minutes and no one ever returned to pick up the call and he hung up after 15. I had gotten there early and was nervous about checking in AND checking in early. No problem whatsoever. In fact, the front desk agent was very nice about everything. Checking out, I'd mentioned...BUT also had to catch the bus to the airport. The bell person (I think) offered easy directions to get to the bus station behind the hotel (I guess they call the bus a subway?) I asked if there was coffee between us and it and he immediately asked to make me a cup of coffee (since it was early in the morning and nothing was set up yet in the hotel). I appreciated the attentiveness of the staff...still the bathroom cleanliness issues and missing items need to be addressed ASAP, because that's kind of important to me. 10% off was a nice gesture, but not enough to handle a dirty bathroom. ..if they're going to charge $300 a night. SECOND UPDATE: Seriously?? Now this place has charged me TWICE on my credit card. First, the full amount. Second, the amount minus the $30 they said they wanted to give me for the dirty bathroom.... As I told her, the $30 wasn't that big of a deal, it's only 10%, so holding housekeeping accountable would have been more important to me. But she insisted, to make her 'feel better'...what a crock of crap! Because she charged me a second time, minus the $30! So this place has now cost me $570 a night instead of $300 a night! Calling to have this adjusted now...on hold. Hopefully I won't be on hold much longer. They took an annoying situation and made it worse. Trying to find out the NAME of the front desk agent that checked us out: They don't seem to "have" this information, (it must be a really old system they are using??), but if the Hotel Manager is reading this: it was the lady that checked us out at 5:36AM on July 17th, 2016. I possibly would have over looked a housekeeping issue once because of how nice the staff was (despite bathrooms being gross is really a nasty thing to overlook!) but now; Despite what I said about how nice the staff is, it just isn't worth it all. How much more time do I have to put into dealing with this place? I said it in my original post and I'll say it again: There's just too many other options close by. Done with this place. I'll be back to update if there's any issues on getting the adjustment & it will drop down another star. If there's no other updates; then everything was fixed and I will leave it as 2. read more

What a fabulous experience! Staff were uniformly pleasant, helpful, and efficient. We ended up with a "pure" room that was suppose to be free of allergens, and it was absolutely spotless. The bed was comfortable and I took advantage of their free "pillow library". The furnishings were consistently high end and in good condition. Visited the bar a few times throughout the weekend. It's pricey, but the bartender mixed us some very nice cocktails and I enjoyed the ambience. We were in town for a wedding, and the reception took place at the hotel. I'm always a fan of that since it's super convenient for guests, especially at the end of the night. I thought the wedding was great as well. The cocktail hour was held in a small room, and the reception was directly above, just up a flight of stairs. The food was all delicious and service was very professional. The drawbacks were few. The area is kind of industrial and there aren't a lot of amenities within walking distance. We took a walk one day across the bridge over to Faneuil Hall, which took about 30 minutes. We have stayed at this hotel at least 3 times now. The price is very reasonable for spacious and upscale accommodations. The bed is comfortable and the room and bathroom are always clean and well stocked with amenities. The view of the harbor is beautiful and there is no noise from outside even though the airport is visible from the room. We highly recommend this hotel in the Seaport area. Our son lives in Southie and we have even walked there from the hotel. Otherwise it's a quick ride over there. Same goes for getting downtown. Great location for us. read more

This is a beautiful hotel! Stylish in its design; very friendly and accommodating staff; in a GREAT location (Seaport is undergoing an amazing amount of new development as well as refurbishment) allowing for an easy, mostly level walk to the waterfront and all it has to offer (shopping, restaurants, the aquarium, HarborCruises.com terminal); the rooms are spotless, spacious (at least those with 2 doubles), and the beds are to DIE for (especially the pillows!). But, what took this review from 5 stars to 6 (you can't see it but it's there, wink), was check-in. It was about 6:30 a.m. and my son and I had just flown in from Washington state (5.5 hr direct flight). He'd been up since 2:00a.m. the night before for work, worked a 10 hour shift, wasn't able to sleep on the plane, so after 28 hrs of being awake, he was pooped! I was luckier and had only been up for 24...This flight was our only option otherwise we'd've chosen differently. At any rate, we fully expected to not be able to check-in until the customary 3:00p.m. but were hoping that mayyybe we could get in an hour or 2 early and fall into a sleep deprived coma! Nope. Instead, of an hour or 2 early, the WONDERFUL young lady at the front desk checked us in immediately! IMMEDIATELY! We couldn't believe it. We did have to give up the tub which was in our original reservation because that room wasn't yet ready but, pfffttt, we didn't care in the slightest. Beyond happy, we got into our room and blissfully fell fast asleep. I confess I'm really annoyed with myself for not getting the name of the employee who checked us in and who absolutely changed our first day in beautiful Boston from a potential negative due to mind numbing fatigue into an absolute positive. My friend and I stayed here for a girls' night last weekend. I was SO impressed! The staff were very helpful, rooms clean (with a fabulous half-view of the water and the city of Boston!) The breakfast prices are high, about what you'd expect, so we opted to grab a fruit cup from the café in the lobby. Parking is very convenient with a garage under the hotel so you never have to worry. Self parking is $38 or $48 for a valet. I would absolutely stay here again! We went to an event on the Fenway side so we were kind of staying on the opposite side from where we were headed but it was TOTALLY worth it! read more

Do not go to this hotel if you want to have any semblance of a celebration for your organization. They will literally ask to search your bags when you walk in to see if you have alcohol (unconstitutional). They post someone to stand at the elevators to prevent people from traveling to different floors. They will confiscate alcohol if you have it and not offer you the option to retrieve it. The Seaport does not seem like the type of organization that values repeat customers and all in all, the staff seemed more concerned with trying to portray an image of an upstanding, high class hotel rather than one that caters to both the comfort and happiness of its customers, which is why we are staying in your hotel in the first place, to celebrate our company's success. Great service for a great price ($130 per night). Room was huge with a really nice shower with shampoo and conditioner containers on the wall. $37 for parking in the garage right on site. Nicely decorated for the holidays. read more

They did not clean our room and blamed it on us, said we pressed a privacy button. Spent $300 a night, expected at least a clean room.

I recently stayed at the Seaport Hotel and had my identity stolen! My credit company called and asked me about FIVE fraudulent charges, with the FIRST fraudulent charge starting at the Seaport Hotel. Double checked with my husband and he confirmed that he paid for our stay and that there should be NO charges to me. The only time I showed my credit card there was on initial check in at the front desk and have not used my card in the time period where all the fraudulent charges happened. (And yes, when I called the manager, the "hold charge" for check in purposes differed from the amount my credit card company reported as fraudulent). I don't know specifically how the identity theft occurred but I suspect that it happened at the hotel. I caution all guests staying there to watch their credit card charges carefully afterwards. read more

Stayed here for a medical convention. Pricey but has good government rates and I didn't have to pay for it. Short walk to the convention center. The T station is right next door. They have free shuttles into downtown. It's about 1 mile walk to Faneuil Hall, Aquarium. Has a really nice free fitness center, small lap pool. Group classes cost $10. Rooms are really nice, what you would expect from a high end hotel. Free wifi but found it annoyingly slow. I had my airport express and connected it to the LAN line and got blazingly fast internet for the rest of the stay. I basically created my own wifi station. Not sure why this was the case. If you are going to the convention center, there is fast free wifi there so pack your iPad. There are several good restaurants within walking distance, 1/2 a mile. The barking crab was great and the No Name restaurant was awesome. We also had a nice meal at a place called Lucky's. Oh, we also had a very nice meal at Aura, the hotel restaurant. We were a little concerned taking our 2 year old there because it's fine dining but the wait staff was great. Actually, the entire staff at the hotel was great, especially the Concierge. My wife had our 2 year old and found things to do when I was at the conference. She went to the Aquarium, the Children's Museum which are both walking distance. She took the T to Harvard and Copley Mall. Said it's a great public transport system. Really easy to use. Would easily stay here again. read more

The hotel is at a great location. Everything is a cab ride or a short walk away. Very nice restaurants close by, overlooking the water. The hotel and grounds were always clean. The staff made the trip superb especially the concierge Danny, his passion was making sure that his guests are satisfied. Nothing was too big or small to get done. He loves his job and it was shown and felt everyday. I will come back just from HOW HE MADE US FELT. read more
