I usually dine at Sear once, maybe twice, during my stay at The Marriott when working in Atlanta. I can now say that I have eaten there every night of my visit after experiencing the magic that is Morgan at the bar at Sear!! I have never seen anyone at any dining establishment who is able to multitask like this young lady!! She remembers literally everything about everyone and makes all of her customers feel so special!! I will miss being welcomed back by her after a long day at market to enjoy a glass of wine! Her joy and energy are infectious and I just wanted to relate this to the Marriott and Sear....Morgan is special!! After a long travel day and set up for a conference my colleagues and I were treated to a nice dinner here at Sway. We had a reservation prior to showing up to accommodate such a large group and had a nice community table. Service started out promptly by having menus in front of us and drink orders taken. The drink orders was a bit of a hiccup for us. We were informed that we had a choice of still, sparkling, or tap. I am fine with what is on tap as it is filtered. However, the server took it upon himself to make sure everyone had a bottle of water, whether it be still or sparkling. I would have enjoyed the tap water as I wouldn't feel guilty to ask for a refill. One bottle of water for a full meal is a bit of a stretch. Once drinks were served, appetizers were placed. We had a mix of items for the table. A few different things were ordered for the table. Pull-Apart Bread Basket, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, and Roasted Garlic Hummus. The bread basket was a hit, even though colleagues that were there before on prior trips kept trying to say that the buttermilk biscuit was dry. I didn't find it that way. They also talked up the apple butter. Not fan of that, it was more applesauce consistency than it was butter consistency. Then it came to entrees. There were a bunch of steaks ordered around the table. But not me, I went with the 'Today's Fresh Catch of the Day.' Which seems to be salmon on most days. Because I was told it was salmon the day before by one of our parties visit here. No doubt it was delicious, but doesn't seem like much variety, just put salmon on the menu. When I saw the amount of steaks being sent back because they were either underdone or overdone, I made the right decision. But it did turn a dinner into a longer even than it should have been. Because of that, I did go for dessert. Lord I shouldn't have, because my stomach was heavy and I became drowsy after this. I went with the Giant Chocolate Cake. Which may just seem like a name, but this thing really was a giant chocolate cake. This towering cake piece was accompanied with chocolate sauce and vanilla bean ice cream. While others were finishing and packing up their leftovers, I was shoveling bite after bite of this cake in my mouth. Overall, service was nearly perfect, the water situation still hung over this interaction. With the amount of refires they had to do, this also hung over this overall. read more

It was my first time trying Mockly Eye Opener (herbal tangerine elixir) which had citrus, lemongrass and basil. It was sweet but there was something off with the combination. The crispy fried shrimp, charcuterie board, and Mediterranean hummus were fine. The pan-seared Atlantic salmon came with crisp potato, leeks, and tomato ragout. The Southern banana pudding, ivory creme brulee, and flourless chocolate fudge cake (comes with espresso ice cream) were all good. Service was great and we felt we were well taken care of. The weekend breakfast buffet here is unmatched. What sets it apart for me is the extremely friendly staff. Both the hostesses and the gentleman making omelets were so incredibly hospitable. The omelets were delicious and there were so many different choices on the budget. The dining room was well kept and looks modern. What a great experience to eat here during my stay. We stopped by Sear on Saturday July 12th, 2025 for evening cocktails at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and have NO complaints. We were greeted by Morgan & Sonia, too lovely and knowledgeable women. This rating is for the breakfast. I was lucky enough to be provided breakfast in this restaurant by the hotel each morning of my stay. The breakfast buffet option is very impressive as there are the standard American style breakfast warm foods such as scrambled eggs, egg whites, bacon, sausage, patties, potatoes, and so forth. There was also a very nice assortment of pastries, muffins, and other baked goods. Fresh fruit and different types of yogurt were available in addition to granola. Around the corner, where other breakfast delights such as waffles, pancakes, and French toast. The staff were very attentive and helpful, providing coffee and juices as needed. I appreciated the server, leaving me an entire pitcher of coffee. He must've known that I would easily go through that entire pitcher. YUM. This restaurant was located in our hotel and I am very, very, very glad we decided to try it. The inside is like a rustic modern type vibe with dim lights which I loved. First let's put this place on the "restaurant in a hotel" scale. So they get an extra star for that. Decent atmosphere, good service. The thing that struck me is they first items I see are seafood. To me this is another restaurant trying to be unnecessarily fancy. One too many items in the menu with kale. They don't even serve a filet! A steak house ? And the bone in ribeye is 16oz? When they are that small they get thin, and when that happens they get dry.. ugh Steak certainly had some sear on it. But just too thin... and I didn't really luck out on the cut. While staying at the Atlanta Marriott marquis hotel this weekend I had the pleasure of eating at the hotel restaurant SEAR a few times. The meal I want to highlight most was the breakfast buffet. From the nice welcome when arriving at the restaurant to the phenomenal service by the chef and delicious food, I was blown away by my experience at Sear. As someone with a gluten allergy my choices are sometimes limited. Not at sear. They had multiple breakfast meats, different types of eggs, chia seed pudding, berries, and other fruit and a very tasty GF blueberry muffin. In addition, they had fresh honey comb! I have never seen this in all of my travels and thoroughly enjoyed it on my muffin. My last stop was at the omelet station where Chef Reggie expertly crafted my egg white veggie omelet topped with goat cheese. He single-handedly improved my mood with his smile and willingness to make a superb omelet. My omelet was SO Tasty, thanks Reggie! I took my meal to go and the staff provided a box and carrier for my OJ and coffee so that I could take my breakfast back to my room. What a great way to start the day! read more

Almost everything was really good. One complaint is a few of the plates were stained, not dirty but old stains (please do something about that). Upon arrival. were greeted by Anthony. He was nice and very personable, he greeted us with a smile and he also seated us. Our waiter was Sam: he was also personable, very nice and he checked on us several times to ensure we were ok. Reggie was our chef: he repeated our order to ensure his accuracy, smiled, talked and made us laugh several times and cooked our food with love!! We spoke to a manager named Toure: he was knowledgeable, he cared about our experience and he even asked what they could do to improve our experience. He assisted his staff with the tables, plates, etc. he is a great example of being a team player! Everything was delicious and we will definitely return. read more

If you're in the area then gave these guys a go for breakfast. They have got a great spread in the morning. A little of everything from cereal to custom omelets to homemade biscuits/gravy. The only thing I didn't care for was their coffee. I wasn't crazy about it. It tasted a little weak and the Orange juice wasn't freshly sqeezed like at the Ritz Carlton across the street. The place has a nice vibe to it. A cross between Indiana Jones meets James Bond. The best of all it's located inside the Marriott Marquis so you don't have to go any where to get some awesome food. Was in the hotel for a conference in June. Went to Sear for lunch since it was only thing opened at our lunch time. When I checked my bank statement the day we were leaving and saw I had been charged $127. My total check was $60 with tip. I called the front desk at Marriott and they said they couldn't help since I didn't charge it to my room and Sear was closed when I left. I filed a fraudulent charge with my bank but they came back and said since someone at Sear had rang up my ticket using my card at a terminal it wasn't fraudulent and the removed the $127 from my account. I am appealing this but just know someone at Sear is shady and ripping off customers read more

We were on the hunt for scallops and the menu online said they had them. We got there and didn't see it on the menu. Our server, Phyllis, went above and beyond by calling other restaurants to find them and then called to chef here to see if there was anything they could do. Darius Washington, the chef, stepped up and got inspired! He found some in the freezer and got creative with them. We are so appreciative to this staff! My parents were in town for one last meal and this was the perfect place! We love an industrial chic decor too! They validate too! read more
