I visited this steakhouse recently and had a pretty average experience overall. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant itself was clean and well put together, which made for a comfortable dining setting. The staff was polite and attentive, though service felt a bit slow at times, especially during the middle of the meal. As for the food, the steak was cooked close to the requested temperature but lacked the flavor I was expecting for the price. It wasn't bad by any means, just not particularly memorable. The sides were decent, though nothing stood out, and the portions felt a little small. Overall, it's not a bad place to eat, but it didn't quite live up to expectations. As someone who travels frequently and dines at Ruth's Chris locations across the country, I arrived with high expectations. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had. I checked into Embassy Suites around 9:40 p.m. and specifically asked if the restaurant was still serving. I was told it closed at 10:00 p.m. I arrived around 9:47 p.m., only to be told the restaurant was already closed. I was then directed to the bar, where I was told they didn't serve food. After asking to speak with the manager, he eventually agreed to serve me. I ordered the petite filet and was told it would take about an hour. Surprisingly, it arrived in roughly 20 minutes. Unfortunately, the experience only declined from there. The plate arrived so incredibly hot that even the bartender called out from behind the bar, "Don't touch it!" The plate itself was dirty around the edges and lacked the presentation you would expect from a premium steakhouse. I ordered my steak medium, but it was served medium-well. The manager did stop by to ask if everything was okay, but no one ever offered water or any other service. I ended up drinking the complimentary bottle of water that Hilton Honors had provided at check-in because no one at the restaurant offered me one throughout the meal. When the check arrived, a 20% gratuity had already been added. I normally tip generously and gladly reward great service. This wasn't simply a disappointing steak--it was a disappointing hospitality experience. I've always associated Ruth's Chris with professionalism, consistency, and exceptional service. Sadly, this location fell far short of those standards. I sincerely hope management reviews its operations and service culture, because no guest should leave feeling the way I did. read more

A wonderful birthday celebration! We enjoyed a perfectly cooked and seasoned ribeye and phenomenal sea bass. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was delish as well. The disappointing portion of the meal was the brussel sprouts but our sweet seever took them off the ticket when we let her know so no complaints there. My wife and I dined here for our 18th anniversary and had a lovely meal. I had the Harvest Salad, Filet, and Garlic Crusted Sea Bass. My wife had the Ruth's Chop Salad and Filet. The food was wonderful! The salads were quite hearty and beautifully presented. The steaks were both cooked to our preference (medium), very flavorful and tender. The Sea Bass stole the show for me! That dish is spectacular! It was so light and flaky - and the baby spinach paired with it so well. The service was wonderful. We had Sequoia take care of us and she was so funny, helpful, and attentive. We wanted and waited for nothing - she was on it! The ambiance is what I expected. Absolutely the worst experience at a Ruth Chris I've ever had. Don't waste your time! Poor service, like warm foods and dirty.

Overall our experience at Ruth Chris's was rather disappointing. As for the food, it came out incredibly quickly, cooked as ordered and was incredibly tasty. As for the service, our server was lackluster. She asked if we needed any suggestions while servers around ours were describing, showing, and guiding people through their menu and their experiences. Our server felt flat and did not add to our experience, rather took away from it. She also was hardly around. As for the service, it was fast and felt rushed. We never got a bread refill as tables around us were getting several baskets full. We were there for a birthday and it was mentioned once and never again, even though one of the advertisements in the entry way is a birthday dessert. We had our salads and entrees within 5 minutes of each other. We had been asked if we had any time constrains and we stated "no". We were done with dinner in less than 35 minutes. The atmosphere was really what ruined our experience for us. There was a high school competition going on in town, and there were plenty of groups that were sat around us, however none of them were dressed for the steakhouse. The group sat directly next to us had on torn jeans, t-shirts, and backwards baseball caps on. It was overall disappointing to see that the standards of a dress code were not followed. First time at Ruth's Chris! I was very excited to try what they had to offer. Before even entering the building, you already know in Atlanta that parking is always going to be something to consider. I believe this Ruth's Chris was inside of a hotel and when we pulled in, valet did not greet us, acknowledge us, nor did the open or hold any doors for us. Now I know im not entitled to that but if we have to pay you in order to get in the building to make time for our reservation, it would have been appreciated. Valet services then gave us a number to hold so we can get the car after dinner. My mom and I went on Christmas Day and the building was beautiful inside. I ordered a sea bass and my mother ordered a stuffed Chicken that I tried later which was honestly amazing. My sea bass was full of flavor as well. I felt more points being taken off once I noticed people coming in that were absolutely not complying to the dress code. People walking in with pajamas while my mother and I are dressed up had us feeling over dressed for a moment. Nope, we're definitely at a fine dining restaurant I do think that dress code policies should have been enforced this day. Nonetheless the experience was nice and I would love to come back to a Ruth's Chris maybe another location where we wouldn't have to deal with mediocre valet service and where the dress code is enforced strictly. read more

Overall great experience here while looking to dine in Atlanta on our trip. We were seated quickly for being walk inside and staff was very friendly. The food is good, I'll be honest that I'm not sure about the quality to price point as the prices are very high. I did enjoy my experience but 3 things I would say would be that the entrance was hard to find at first, the plate my steak was on was so extremely hot and continued to cook my steak and I had to wait forever for the shrimp to cool and then lastly towards the end of dinner our waiter disappeared for awhile so we waited longer than we wanted to to get the check and the dessert so we could get back to the hotel. I ordered off the classics menu with the filet and shrimp with a side spinach . And the house salad with the famous blue cheese they make in house. I have ate at high end steak houses all over the USA and to me when Ruth's Chris does it right, nobody does it better . The filet came out sizzling as it should. Literally one of the worst experiences I have had at a "nice" restaurant, I expected more from this Ruth Chris because I literally work at a Ruth Chris in California. Server took awhile to get to our table after the server assistant had got there. Food was good, but my steak was undercooked and the grilled asparagus was also cold. I understand tipping is important, but when it comes automatic at 20% for some of the worst service imaginable, Stacy was nice but nice does not cut it when you paying so much for the food already plus an automatic 20% tip. She was slow to get to us each time, by the time I had got my check it had been 10-15 minutes before she came back so I went looking for a manager to pay but ran into a food runner instead who seemed annoyed that I asked for a manager and tried to do everything she could before she really needed to get them. I understand some other people don't understand how restaurants operate so they may be a little more harsh when they haven't worked at a restaurant before, but I literally work at the same one. We ordered the 22 oz ribeye, medium rare, lobster Mac, Brussel sprouts, and the loaded mashed potatoes. For starters, we ordered the stuffed mushrooms....oh, still no bread yet. The mushrooms came out. They were ok. An ok flavor, with a mushy center. The ribeye looked great. I cut into it, and it was perfectly cooked. It was juicy and well seasoned. The lobster Mac and cheese needed salt and pepper. Other than that, the noodles were cooked perfectly, there was an ample amount of cheese, and the lobster was abundant. The Brussel sprouts were just ok. They didn't have a crunch to them. The drinks were great. Very well made. The creme Brule was amazing! That was probably my favorite part of the night. I have nothing particularly bad to say about the food. The service is just terrible. For the price to go and eat here, there should be soooo much better. That was truly disappointing. In my 66 years of living, I have to admit this was the worst service I've ever experienced at an expensive restaurant! We had reservations to celebrate my birthday last weekend. When we arrived at the Embassy Suites, the doors were locked and we had to wait for a hotel client to let us in. Once in the restaurant, the maitre'd pleasantly greeted us and wished me happy birthday. We were seated immediately at a great table by the window. After that, everything went South. We ordered drinks while waiting for my son and his wife to arrive. It took 20-25 minutes to get the drinks. Once our guests were seated, it took at least 30-40 minutes before our order was taken. The server, Stacy, even overlooked my husband after the 3 of us ordered and wisked away. We had to call her back in order for his order to be taken. The food was fine. Once the food was served we had to ask 3 times to have our water glasses filled. I think that took almost an hour. My son and his bride had to leave early because parking validation is limited to 3 hours so they had to rush their dinner to avoid having to pay for parking. The server never acknowledged my birthday. I normally order coffee and dessert but I didn't this night since we had spent so much time at this restaurant (in total 4 hours). t I was just ready to leave.. We've eaten at Ruth Chris' in Cherokee and had a pleasant experience but we won't be back to this location in Atlanta. I certainly wouldn't recommend it. read more

I love Ruth's! I was visiting the Embassy at Centennial Park and there was a location on the first floor of the hotel and I immediately made a reservation lol. The food and service was awesome, our server was Maya and she was extremely friendly and helpful. She was patient with me and my dinner date who were chatty lol I ordered the ribeye medium which was superb, we shared mashed potatoes and Brussels which were also great. The best part by far was our service by the servers. We are very well taken care of. We did have an issue with our steak. We both got a very small steak 6 ounce cooked medium, but it looks of grayish color to me that meant the steak was old and it wasn't very well received by who I think was a manager. I recently stayed at the embassy suites in downtown with my wife and two daughters for our anniversary. Although, my wife and I had our daughters we still decided to have a quick date night for our 10th wedding anniversary. Everything was amazing. From the start and all the way to the finish. Our server Guy, was the epitome of what Great service is all about. Greeting us by our name and mentioning us celebrating our anniversary made us feel more than welcome. Guy recommended we start off with the Chopped salad and explained everything in detail that was in it. We also had a shrimp cocktail and stuff mushrooms that was amazing. We later split the porterhouse for two and this was by far the best steak I had ever had. The lobster Mac and cheese that he suggested was also perfect for us to split. Everything was great! Even down to him constantly refilling our water. He even gave us a complimentary desert on the house to celebrate our anniversary. I dined at this restaurant on NYE while staying at the Embassy Suites. We made reservations online and were seated pretty quickly upon arrival. The view of Centennial Park from the restaurant was beautiful. Our waiter Travis was amazing and the best thing about this restaurant that we encountered. We frequent Ruth's Chris in various locations because most locations are consistent with the steaks but we found that this was not true because this location truly doesn't represent the Ruth's Chris brand well. We were highly disappointed in our meal. The waiter recommended the Hibiscus Lemon Drop and it was amazing, my fiancé had the Gentleman bourbon drink and he enjoyed it as well. Let's just say the drinks were great but after that everything went down hill. We ordered our usual the signature filet for me and the NY strip steak for him both steaks were ordered medium well however both arrived cooked well done and burnt. I really hate to send food back but also don't like to eat overcooked steak so when I mentioned it to the waiter he immediately got the manager and they agreed to cook me another steak at the right temperature. We also ordered the Lobster Mac and creamed spinach. So while I waited for my steak I decided to try the sides. The lobster had a hard crust on top and was very dry throughout. The cream spinach tasted a bit grainy as if it hadn't been washed well and or cooked as usual. We usually order these sides often so use to them both being great sides and they've been consistently great at the many other locations that we've visited in Nashville, Las Vegas, Memphis, Houston, St. Louis, Buckhead etc... but the food experience at Centennial was very underwhelming. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 based on the fact that the server and manager did agree to re-do the steak and the second steak was cooked to the right temperature and better than the first and the server also took the Lobster Mac off our check when we sent it back for being dry... and the restaurant itself is visually appealing. Lastly this is the only Ruth Chris that I've ever been too that the steak didn't sizzle on the plates upon arrival to the table. Personally I thought that was the brand's signature of having the sizzle. In closing, we really wanted to love this place because we do frequent staying at this hotel when we're in the Atlanta area but do not plan to return to this restaurant again... maybe for an evening drink but definitely not for the food. I would suggest that the kitchen staff needs to be re-trained on recipes and how to deliver the quality of food that's expected when customers visit Ruth's Chris. read more

My family and I have been eating at R.C. for a very long time. Last night was THE WORST. Experience we have ever had. The franchise as a whole has had a very clear downgrade as fine dining goes, but to have what was called "swarm service" plates being frantically removed as soon as OR BEFORE they were clear of food. Butter being taken out from in front of my sister while bread was in her hand. Me being asked if I was done after ever bite of potato.... truly AMAZING. And then to be told that this "swarm service" was their typical protocol? Another small but frustrating thing, this is supposed to be fine dining, the phrase "are you still working on that" implies that this is a chore to be completed. Not something to be enjoyed, not an experience to be had, just get the food in your mouth and leave. It is SO disappointing. As a chef who worked at a restaurant that petestalized Ruth's Chris as the standard we hoped to come close to, I am really upset that it has fallen so incredibly low. read more

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at the Marietta Street location on 11/16/24. James was our server. He was efficient, professional and provided great service!!! FIVE STARS FOR HIM!!! HOWEVER, the food was subpar. Not great at all. The steaks were not cooked (nor seasoned) as ordered. I had medium well and the hubby had well done. Both had to be sent back. My salad contained croutons and eggs - both of which I am allergic to (yes, they were informed of my allergies). This experience was definitely NOT what is expected of a $300 meal. The Bar hostesses Missy & Brittany" were extremely knowledgeable and super nice, the recommendation of the Lamb Chops and stuff mushrooms were on point, along with the the Fillet cooked medium to perfection. All of the entrées we ordered tasted good! We had grilled salmon, filet mignon and shrimps, garlic mashed potatoes, Caesar salad and broccoli. And cheesecake for desserts. Their bread and butter is so fresh and addicting. Except for the steamed broccoli, it's a little bit over cooked. The waitress was nice, there's another waiter who brought our salad, but didn't say a word. We walked in the restaurant with no reservation and we chose to eat in the bar area for casual dining.
