Had a great experience here during our stay in Atlanta. Shout out to Princess! She was an amazing bartender full of great energy and spunk. And she made one of the best Mezcal Paloma's I've had in years. My wife's mojito was a hit as well. A fun vibe, cozy bar, table or couch sitting with sports on the numerous tv's. This is a great hotel with a super fun lounge, not to mention the 360 degree rotating restaurant at the top. The hotel bar where the hotel restaurant transitions to after a certain time. And where a lot of people congregate to take in a game and grab a beer. Traditional bar set up, but can be extremely loud as this is basically in the atrium of the hotel and you hear ALL the noise. Just to be clear, there is a hard stop here on most nights around 11, but that doesn't mean that people mosey on out. They usually just transition to the couches just outside the bar area. Traditional bar food that has a bit of an upscale twist to it. Burger, sure, but hen put on some fancy mayo and pickled red onions and you are at $20. Didn't try that, but I did try the Corona Queso Nachos. These consisted of a chipotle-corona queso, pickled jalapeno, black olives, pico, and sour cream. You can add chicken or pulled pork, we went with the chicken. By description, these sound delicious. But the queso directly goes to the bottom or just drowns the whole plate. I mean if you wanted queso you had to get to the bottom of the plate fast. If you don't, this kind of turns into a soup towards the end. What chips are left and not moist, are extremely crunchy. If you do come here and it is near their closing time they will definitely rush you out of the area. Like really fast. Service was on point from the start -- quick greeting, friendly attitude, and no waiting around despite how busy it was. I ordered the Brisket Sandwich, which came out hot and generously portioned on a toasted bun with slaw and Korean barbecue sauce. The brisket itself was well‑seasoned with a nice spicy kick. I would've loved a deeper smoked flavor, but the sandwich still worked as served. The side of house fries was a full order, not an afterthought, and they were crisp and well‑salted. 8/10. On my most recent Dragon Con trip, I finally sat down here for food instead of just grabbing a quick drink. Since I arrived a day early, I had the chance to try the menu, and I'm glad I did. The food was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and it came out surprisingly fast given how busy they were for a Wednesday. I ordered a burger, fries, and a drink, and it all hit the spot. Price-wise, about $20 for the meal is hard to beat, especially considering the location right in the heart of Atlanta. Service stood out too. I had three different staff members, including a manager, check on me during my visit, which made me feel well taken care of. Robert, the manager, was the most awful F&B manager ive ever encountered. last night he tried to say they, "accidentally closed a tab and tried to charge it to one room and then have us figure it out ourselves. tonight. tonight it took OVER AN HOUR to get our tab split between 4 people. we had to end up getting security involved because the waitress and the manager couldn't figure out how to split it up after we had put our numbers by each item. then they said the policy says they can't split checks. in their menu, it shows they can split up to 4 checks. This is the hotel bar at the Hyatt, and let me just say--I love it! I arrived late after 12 hours of travel, totally thrown off by the time difference, and just needed some good food and a drink. I'm so glad I ended up here. The servers were amazing--so kind, attentive, and welcoming. They had great vegetarian options (which I always appreciate), and even introduced me to some local beers that hit the spot. They also gave me honest feedback about a few menu items I was unsure about, which I really appreciated. I came back again during my conference, this time with a large group, and the staff didn't miss a beat. They happily did separate checks and were just as friendly and accommodating as the first time. This is a perfectly fine hotel bar. Since I was solo, I sat at the bar. The bartenders were nice, prompt, and dealt with large crowds without issue. I got the shrimp po'boy and it was both ample in portion and tasty. I actually thought to myself "well this is better than I expected." Note: prices are a little high, but this is a hotel that caters to the business crowd so expect that. Plenty of TVs, several menu options, and if you're staying at the hotel you can charge to your room. read more

The people that work there are very nice, but if you're waiting a while, just get the attention of the wait staff. I had probably the worst nachos I've ever had in my life. Instead of melted cheese like I was expecting, there was a really watery pinkish/orange sauce that was honestly disgusting. They poured it all over the chips so immediately all of the chips were completely wet and soggy. There was a big heap of pico de gallo and jalapenos on it, not spread out at all with a lump of sour cream on top. It also came out cold (or I'd say room temperature). It was a very unpleasant experience and I begrudgingly ordered a side of tater tots with barbecue sauce since I felt "they couldn't screw that up, right?" The barbecue sauce was again, super watery and tasted weird. The tots were overcooked to the point of being really hard and they had a strange flavor from the herbs and truffle tasting seasoning they put on it. I'm a vegetarian, but I've also been told the chicken is really basic. The one thing that was decent was the vegetarian cauliflower and chickpea "shwarma". The nachos are a total rip-off and are disgusting. I don't know who designed that dish, but it's terrible. Also, the corona chipotle queso doesn't have any description of what it is on the menu, and when I googled it I was still confused. I definitely wasn't expecting the watery mess I got. Having beans and house made guacamole added and having actual melted cheese would have saved the dish. This hotel's food is very sub-par. I also ate at Sway for breakfast and the french toast also came out cold and was really lackluster for the price. Eggs were extremely expensive for just a single egg so I didn't even bother. There were not enough vegetarian options to justify the extremely expensive breakfast buffet for me. Everything is overpriced and not very good at this hotel. read more

I stopped here twice while staying here at the hotel that it's located within (The Hyatt Regency) and I was totally impressed! To be honest I like this place way more than the hotel it's in. 1st time I stopped in for beverage, the 2nd time I returned for some Lemon Pepper Wings and a Side Salad and it was amazing! We stayed here at the Hyatt Regency when we were stopping for the night on a long road trip. Our plan was to get to Atlanta and explore a bit, find a cool restaurant and have a delicious meal. It had been a long day and we realized that leaving the hotel was a no-go. Looking at the menu, we decided to go downstairs and have a bite. The seating options were plentiful, it is a bar/restaurant so if you want to sit at the bar, a hightop, table, or booth you have options. We comfortably sat at a booth and used the Qcode to see the menu. Our server was really sweet and helped us maneuver the food and beverage options. We got the Nachos and warm Spinach Falafel salad. It was all really tasty (we shared both) and enjoyed a chill evening hanging out and talking. It was worth not going out. read more

This is one of those hotel bars that I've always taken for granted as I haven't stayed at this Hyatt location (I live locally). That being said, I've had many drinks here and the occasional bite of food from attending the annual Dragon*Con and Atlanta Fantasy Fair previous (yes there was a show before D*C). I've also had occasion to meet colleagues here who were visiting from elsewhere as it's a convenient location. I have only known this as "the bar in the Hyatt lobby - no not the restaurant, the bar in the back" and if I hadn't recently been standing in the area right next to a column with the bar's name, would have not known it had its own name. But, I'm digressing hard... This is a well laid-out hotel bar, where you can basically see through from one side or end to the other - convenient if you're looking for someone in particular and not sure where they are. I've sat both at the bar itself, at a booth and at one of the high tables - the bar feels fairly comfortable and you can still hear small talk even when packed to the gills. Service is a bit inconsistent - sometimes it's exceptional and at other times the wait times are ridiculous - most recently I spent a couple of hours here with friends at the bar and it was very good (even with the crazy D*C crowd) but they did start running out of draft beer. Speaking of draft, they keep an assortment of local craft from Monday Night, Reformation and Scofflaw - kudos to them for getting on that train. The food I've had here has been the sharable type - I believe it all comes from the same hotel kitchen - nothing exceptional but the food quality is good overall and the prices while exorbitant, nothing out-of-the-ordinary for an international hotel. read more

Had a credit in the hotel due to issues with my room. Decided to grab dinner in the restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and offered suggestions. It was busy when we were there and she appeared to have a lot of tables. The menu was limited for me but ordered the bourbon red hot fried chicken sandwich with bbq sauce on side, pickles and aioli sauce with fries. It didn't take long for food to arrive. The chicken came with sauce on it so I requested it the way I ordered. I kept the fries which were good. The food finally came out. Sadly the chicken was extremely dry, there was very little aioli sauce. It took a long time to get someone back to get me the sauce. I attempted to flag a down another waitress but she waved me off. Finally the waitress came and assisted me. I did tell her that the chicken was dry. It was then time for dessert which she recommended the warm cinnamon roll sundae. When it came out, it was bread pudding. I don't like bread pudding. Was really disappointed that it was not a cinnamon roll at all. My friend ended up eating it which was fine with me. Overall, it wasn't the best experience. The waitress was as attentive as she could be especially with all the tables she appeared to have. The food was not good although I liked the fries. There are so many places in Atlanta so definitely will try new places next time I am in town. read more

So this is the hotel bar at the Hyatt. It's really open which is great for meeting up with friends.... not so good if you're trying to hide out. They open pretty early which meant I could grab some fries and a coke to ward off a migraine one afternoon. Plus the staff was mostly great. The prices were mostly standard hotel...although not the worst I've seen. They were nice about our shifting huge hoards of people and that we kept moving. Impressive skills for the servers. My only complaint was that one server was adding gratuity to bills some nights. So she got double tipped from me. OTH I kind of don't blame her because drunks are dumb... not that I was a drunk of course. read more

Staying at Hyatt Regency for business trip and been flying all day- I was staaaaaarving! Desperately needed something to eat before next business function and girl at cafe told me I could order food to go at bar. Really wanted salmon but didn't see any on the menu. I should have asked. :/ Saw seared scallops which sounded interesting. Waitstaff was fast and friendly. Order came out pretty quickly. Serving size is super small - 3 large scallops on top of maybe 1/4 c of barley and some sprouts sprinkled on top. Don't get me wrong - scallops were really good. First time going here. I stayed in the hotel for a few days, due to some meetings that I had. I decided to try out this restaurant on the last day and it was just so-so. Me and my group decided to have some drinks at first and the drinks took a while to come. We were wondering why so long when they weren't a lot of people around. After our food took a while to get here and when it finally got there one of my group members got cheated on his Food option. An average hotel bar. Their food is ok. I normally order the pretzel. Stay clear of their overpriced burgers as they tend to be overcooked and take forever to get to you. You'd be better off going to Sway on the same floor if your looking for a meal. Slow is the prime word I'd used to describe this bar. From coming to take your order (whether your at a table or at the bar) to getting your check. They are in no hurry to serve you. Their drinks are ok. A bit on the pricey side but it's what you get at most hotel bars. I was there for a convention and did not appreciate my wine being served in a plastic cup the night after the convention ended. Also they chased my party out even though I was a hotel guest, because my friends were staying at another hotel. We went to the Hilton close by and spent about $200. Also they don't seem to have consistent pricing. Once I was charged $13 for my glass of Moscoto and then later $11. If your staying at the hotel and want a quick drink it's not bad, but if your looking for a night out go elsewhere. read more

We wanted to have dinner while watching the Cowboys-Patriots game tonight. We came here after leaving High Velocity next door for refusing to put the game on for us. We were waited on immediately and the tv was set for the game we wanted to watch. The service was excellent; our waiter continuously checked on us for whatever we needed. The food was really good too. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with tomato, mozzarella, & pesto. My wife had the quesadilla & pimento cheese dip. Had drinks here after dinner at Polaris, it was a good experience. The atmosphere was nice and so was the bartender, Tammy. The first round of drinks were a little weak, but the second 2 was perfect. Tammy was very understanding and compensated us for the first round. Also tried the fries, the green sauce that comes with them was delicious. SERVICE I'm fairly patient, a generous tipper, and have even excused racial epithets towards me because... well... I got my drink on time. So yeah, I'd like to think I'm pretty easy going. But when I'm waiting at a bar and the bartender literally looks at me and then decides to walk away (without saying anything) to serve two people that sat at the bar AFTER me, I find that incredibly rude. Still in need of a couple drinks, though, I went to the other side of the bar. The bartender there, while understandably talking to two other patrons, put his finger up and silently shushed me like a child. All right. Fine. Whatever. I'll wait. I understand. Y'all hate your lives. Got it. Later, I was able to ask for a vodka cranberry and an old fashioned. He made the vodka cranberry first, someone else's drink second, then the old fashioned third. Considering that Twenty-Two Storys was fairly empty, the time it took from standing at the bar to actually receiving my drinks took about 20-25 minutes. That's a bit ridiculous. I don't understand the order of operations, either. A server, then, had the nerve to tell my friend we should've sat down to be served instead of me. Well, maybe if there was a host to greet people and communicate this information, then this wouldn't be an issue. I didn't know that I couldn't ask for a drink at the bar, when five others were doing so. II. DRINKS They have a pretty limited menu of spirits, but solid lists reds, whites, and beers. The two drinks I ordered were fine, but nothing more. III. AMBIENCE/ DECOR It's swanky, but not to the point of corny. There's a main bar, a few booths, and plenty of high top tables. Spacious for groups of four or fewer. IV. PRICES Each of the drinks were $10 plus tax. I tipped a buck (even though the service was terrible), and everything came out to $21.26. V. OVERALL Consider going somewhere else (like upstairs at Polaris) when spending your hard-earned cash. I don't often expect bartenders to ever be nice, but I do ask for them to acknowledge me as a human and serve me drinks within a reasonable span of time. / Post Dragon-Con Review / I happened to arrive at the hotel at the end of Dragon-Con. Unfortunately, my review will have to reflect this because it the level of service for bars and restaurants should be consistant irrelevant of planned events (conventions, concerts, etc). I can't ever blame someone for unplanned events (fires, theft, etc). True to it's name, if you ask 10 people what they think about this establishment, you'll get "Twenty-Two Storys" (poorly misnamed!! S-T-O-R-I-E-S) I was served scotch in a plastic cup. I'm not in college and haven't been for many years. There is NO reason to be drinking ANY scotch or liquor at a bar from a plastic cup. Their reason? They ran out of glasses due to Dragon-Con. I lean on saying "no excuse". Management failure? I think so. The price for the JW Black Label was $12.50. Not that I haven't seen that price for Black, but the service in the plastic cup really didn't make me feel good paying it. They have an "acceptable" beer selection. Much more than other bars I've been to in South Florida (my home stomping ground). No complains from me there. The staff was rather inattentive to all the patron's needs. It was either because they were spent or just not keen on service. Either way, you shouldn't work your employees to the bone. I ordered a "Build Your Own Burger". I can't really remember all the parts I ordered, but it was very good for $12. No complains from me for that. The dessert, well, that was lousy. The molten lava cake was tiny and the ice cream "scoop" was rather miserable for $5. Pass. Bottom Line: Skip it unless you get trapped in the hotel. The other restaurant was stupidly high priced for nothing special. Between the two options, this was the "better" choice. read more
