First, the technician was excellent, he is not at fault. The company is-- it is run completely by AI virtual assistant. It is impossible to talk to a person. No way to get questions answered. Time of arrival kept changing. When he finally arrived he worked diligently. However, when he identified the part to be replaced, it would take at least 6 days to arrive. Do NOT use. read more

They want you to stay at home all day, then at 5:30, they cancel and reschedule you for next week. You can't talk to anyone... it's all AI. You lose a days pay and you have to reschedule your appointments for a no- show! read more

The service was excellent. The repair man found the problem, showed me the faulty part and fixed everything quickly and with no problems. He then helped me put the refrigerator shelves and filter back in and gave me some excellent information in case I have future problems. I would recommend him to others. read more

After multiple service calls and parts replaced, my dishwasher is finally running again and basically like new with all the new parts. Taylor was diligent in getting to the root of the problem and committed to getting it fixed. Exceptional young man. I am not at all happy with the AI system they use for scheduling, that is not working for the customer with a date and time window of 8am-5pm and all of the rescheduling that takes place. For working people they will be loosing a lot of time off because AI will randomly cancel the day of and reschedule for another day and then another day. Their customer service is all through AI. i have had a contract for home appliance repair for 2 years. I was able to get my ice maker repaired after 2 skipped appointments.They skipped without any call or explanation...just did not show. Now, I am trying to get my microwave repaired. Someone showed up, diassembled it, ordered parts. a second person showed up to install the repair parts, but broke something in the process, ordered a part to fix it, and left. I cannot get anyone to come back and complete the repair. They have been a no-show 3 times. This has been on-going since January 12. However, they did charge my credit card promptly for the $100 deductible. Now, I am trying to cancel the entire subscription, but because they show an open work order, won't cancel. Buyer beware...Sears warranty repair is a scam. They are all AI, so it is almost impossible to talk to an actual human. I did find a phone number when I tried to cancel that was answered by a person, but sat on hold for 58 minutes while he tried to "research" my problem. I finally hung up, but am calling again today. read more

O rating because the tech did nothing twice to repair our refrigerator, just dislodged ice. He seemed unconcerned and said to replace the purifier. Then they charged me two times to do nothing. Ugh. read more

He said he cannot help me and to let Choice Warranty know that he's been here twice and cannot find the problem. He came back yesterday, replaced the fuse for the 2nd time and today the HVAC stopped working again - no heat. The biggest problem is you can never speak to anyone at Choice or Sears and have to rely on email and text to correspond and it takes a week for a technician to come. And he does not call to let you know he's on the way. So far I have spent over $600.00 for absolutely nothing. read more

The service still isn't done. Was told he'd be back yesterday through text message at 8-8:30 and never showed up, couldn't get in contact whatsoever as to what the heck was going on. It isn't even fixed.. was told a group of guys would come out with him. There is no heat or air and hasn't after he came the first time and took our part. now we have bigger issues and he needs to come back and fix it. Lack of communication between Sears and tech. Or non availability of informing customer that the scheduling is canceled . I was scheduled for tech to come on a particular day and never showed up . I went back to reschedule and it happens again. Third time i had to be on the phone for an hour and after escalation ended up tech showing up at the home late. Tech insisted that the previous technician was incorrect about what was wrong, did not install new parts. Only ran diagnostic and insisted that a "power surge" caused a "misfire" causing the dishwasher to not heat or dry the dishes. Then insisted that the water temp must reach 130* in order to create enough steam to dry the dishes! This was a load of BULL. He did NOTHING, took the new parts with him, did not stay to make sure the dishwasher was actually heating and drying dishes. Asked for the manual for the unit (which we never received). This unit is 3 months old and has NOT EVER gotten hot or dried the dishes, it took over a month and two technicians (using that term loosely) and they both say it was something else. Then HE signed the estimate saying we approved it!! He wrote "TECH" in the signature box!! I was at work and my mother was at the house with him. He totally took advantage of an 80yr old and made himself sound like he knew what he was doing, when clearly, he did NOT!! Biggest $1000 piece of junk! THERE IS NOT A SINGLE PHONE NUMBER FOR THIS COMPANY THAT HAS BEEN FOUND WHERE YOU SPEAK TO A HUMAN BEING. Kylen did an excellent job with, 1st, coming and getting the correct parts ordered and, 2nd, finally getting them installed. However, it took 5 weeks before the service was finally performed. Three scheduled dates were cancelled on the day someone was to come. I'm not sure why it was so difficult to get here on the days I was told someone would be here between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. It's a good thing I'm no longer working. And it's a good thing the problem with my refrigerator wasn't that it had not completely quit cooling or freezing. The Sears home service technician came to my home because my dryer was not heating he never opened the dryer just told me that it needed a thermal couple and a heater element that both had to be replaced because they were one unit he gave me a price of over $700 to repair and if I was to join this year's home service warranty plan they would reduce it to just over $500 I told the technician this was the cost of a new dryer and that I would pass and he charged me a $160 for just showing up the next day I went to a used appliance place where they had very nice used dryers for a $175 and up when I said I would take one he asked me what was wrong with mine I told him what the seer's technician told me and he said that is total nonsense they are separate components and can be replaced individually when I told him how much they wanted to charge me he said that was totally insane that he could come to my home repair my dryer for a $140 He came to my Home 2 days later took the dryer apart said it only needed a heater element the thermal couple was just fine but it did need a new roller also so it cost me a $160 to fix my dryer which was what the Sears technician charged me just to show up I think Sears is just a rip-off trying to con people into the warranty program by giving extraordinary pricing further services oh by the way did I mention we are both in our 70s here in my home so I would think that they're probably also just taking advantage Of the elderly isn't there a law Against that I higher recommend that you do not use zer's service for anything please do yourself a favor and call your local repairman which will probably treat you much better and obviously more fair than I was treated by Sears read more

Frank the technician was great. Sears scheduling, customer service is essentially nonexistent. Regardless of whether you get a human, your request will be ignored, and don't bother waiting for those promised callbacks. You can't even get a human on the chat because there's no option to choose, and if you type "human agent" it can't understand. I would find out who warranty repair is before I buy another major appliance, and if Sears is the low bid, I'll buy a different brand. read more

tech came out, found part bad, stated that part was obsolete! rescheduled 3- weeks in a row to make repairs, I took off work and stayed home 8-5 with a no show, no phone calls and no reply. just a reschedule. that's just poor commission that cost me time & money! after 3- weeks with no repairs to oven I went to Lowe's and purchased a new oven. my warranty will cover up to $3,500 on new oven why didn't sears replace our oven? instead bumping repairs up week after week! taking off from work to set home 8-5 well, that's totally ridiculous! for $2,600 I had a new oven bought & installed, why could Sears do that? my wife and I are not happy with your service. read more

Sears Appliance Repair was able to schedule in less than 48 hours of the problem occurring. The technician called to let us know when he would arrive and was on time. He was very pleasant and professional. The appliance was assessed within 10 minutes, and he was able to request a replacement due to the severity of the problem. Our technician was a 5+!!! Extremely professional but also very friendly. He went straight to work upon arrival. it was our fault that we didn't have the model number. He was willing to take the oven apart to find it but we had a pressing appointment so he explained how to do that and what part we would need to order. He was willing to come back to fix it but, because of his instructions, my husband can do it. We would trust our repairs to this gentleman for any future repairs! Angie came at 10:00 this morning. She replaced compressor and several other parts and left about 1 hour ago and refrigerator is still not cooling. Have called Sears Warranty again. Have already paid $606.49. Was originally scheduled for service to come last Friday and at 6:30 pm got notice they had rescheduled for today and still not fixed. Very, very disappointed !!!!!! Well after agreeing to be here this afternoon they had already closed ticket and no one showed up. After calling at 6:15 pm today to see why they had not called or showed up they rescheduled again for tomorrow. I am so aggravated with Sears. read more

My Mom was feeling here oven was baking to the normal tepmps that it normally should, and I helped setup service for it. Frank communicated his arrival time, was professional and dilligent in testing, and helped her understand the heating process and how it functions. Thos showed all was normal, and even offered a suggestion to help. The service was not completed. Someone from Sears evidently told the technician he could not finish the work on our furnace condensation pump. The pump just needs to be replaced and a new drain line added. Warranty company is trying to make me pay an additional service charge for a plumber now which the two service charges are more than the cost of the pump. The technician himself was very polite and knowledgeable, and seemed willing to complete the repair, but was told he could not. Unfortunatley, we don't have the money to buy the pump because now we have spent $65 on a service call for nothing. we could've at least had the parts covered by the warranty company and figured out how to get them installed ourselves. But now we have a leaking furnace condensation pump and no solution. read more

Technician was efficient and easy to deal with. However, scheduling service was very difficult to deal with. Every time I called to schedule my service, I would get someone who spoke very poor English and was very inefficient. I spent four days at home waiting for service that finally came on the 4th day. I also hate the fact that service is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. . This involves waiting a whole day for your service. read more
