Took 2 techs four visits to fix our dishwasher. 1 tech broke the heating element which prolonged repairs. Final visit we asked one of the techs to park up behind our house so I could leave. They said they could not do that. When one tech went to move the one vehicle, the other one went to the front porch and was on the phone. Our camera recorded both talking negatively about us instead of focusing repairing the dishwasher. It was completely unprofessional and we are considering canceling. The one tech literally screams every time he sees one of our cats. It's a bit odd. read more

It's difficult to understand the people you talk to and them to understand us, due to the outsourcing. When the rep couldn't help me, she gave me another number to call about warranties, which was a fake phone number. I guess she did this because she didn't have the answer or didn't understand me. I had a scheduled repair of my stove and clothes washer for 7/7 with a nine hour time window (8 - 5). For three days prior I got Reply 1 texts to confirm which I did. However each text indicated I had failed to respond. On 7/7 I received an early morning text confirming my appointments for that day. Five hours later (1 p.m.) I received a text that my appointments had been rescheduled with no explanation as to why. I tried to contact Sears Home Services but it is all AI and there is no way to reach an agent. Later that day I get a text that my stove would be serviced yesterday (7/10) and my clothes washer today 7/11)...both days with a nine hour time frame. Four hours into yesterday's nine hour time frame I get a text to reschedule for one of three days next week as there was no tech available yesterday. I called my home warranty company yesterday and asked them to contact Sears Home Services and cancel both work order requests as I would call a local company and submit receipts for reimbursement instead. This morning I get a text from Sears that my clothes washer repair today has been confirmed, again with a nine hour time frame. I have no doubt they will not show anyhow and am not wasting nine hours waiting on them today considering I wasted five hours waiting on them Monday and four hours yesterday. Do not use Sears Home Services for appliance repairs. Horrible experience all the way around. I would have given zero stars had that been an option. read more

This is 3rd (or maybe 4th) replacement of oven ignitor in Kenmore stove over 6 years. Tech Jason B came Aug 20 said he was there to fix dishwasher. His visit lasted over an hour mostly spent figuring out why his records were wrong. Turned on oven which lit, took payment and left. Didn't do further troubleshooting. Problems continued till Nov when we discontinued use because of escaping gas. Scheduled service for Dec 1 (1-5pm). Tracker said tech would arrive at 1:54. Suddenly arrival changed to 3:27. He showed up a few minutes before 5 saying he went to another appt before ours. He confirmed problem with ignitor, took payment, said he had to order the part and would return Dec 8 (first available appt). between 8-12. Part arrived Dec 5 from Amazon. On Dec 7 got an email rescheduling because part wasn't delivered. Part is in my kitchen!! Appointment record says a frigidaire part was ordered. My appliance is a Kenmore and a Kenmore replacement ignitor was delivered. Impossible to talk to a live person. Seems the most important part of both service calls (Aug and Dec) was getting payment. So I'm now expected to give up another day (the third) and pay them. read more

The issue is not fixed. The washer still does not drain even though the tech said that he cleared the clog & the pump was spinning.

The technician was unable to make the repair. He didn't have the right part for the job or the right tools. He left & did not return. Please do better. Sears used to give quality service. read more

Signed up for their insurance for 50 a month for a year. They automatically renewed and when they were called to fix my double wall oven they said I needed an electrician to come and disconnect and then they would come back and replace the parts. Then i would have to have the electrician come back and reconnect. Service man said he knew how to do it and has done it many times but he was not allowed to any more. So basically i was paying 50 dollars a month insurance for nothing. The service call was never considered complete and in fact they never left their written report so customers service could not help me. This company is a fraud and I would not use them ever again. If I could do zero stars, I would. We had an appointment today. The schedule said that they will be there between 8am to 5:00 pm. It is now 7:49 pm and no one has called or showed up. The really annoying part is that you can't reach a human on the phone. The online chat bot doesn't have an option for the repair man didn't show. Find a local service that you can reach by phone. the service was excellent, that was when he finally arrived here. Was supposed to be here between 8-12, but didn't get here until late afternoon. Very inconvenient for my son who was taking care of his young son, and waiting for him to get here. After he arrived, he was very quick, however he didn't shut the oven off after he tested it, didn't replace the racks inside, just left everything everywhere. I am very happy with my experience requesting service from Sears. My technician, Bob, exceeded my expectations. Bob called me twice to give me updates on his arrival. He was polite as he entered my house and assured he did not make a mess. He communicated what he was doing to service my dryer and listened attentively to my appliance issue. Tech did not communicate what he was doing at all. Additionally, he left at the end of the service without saying anything. We found that the dishwasher STILL doesn't work, but we have no idea what his next steps are if any. I'm very concerned, as the ticket now appears to be closed with no way to resolve these issues. On top of this, the techs scheduled SIX appointments through the process. The first two ended up being rescheduled at the end of the day due to over scheduling. The third had the tech show up and order parts. The fourth actually did some work, but couldn't repair it due to some parts arriving broken. The fifth sent one tech to do a two-person job, so he had to reschedule. The sixth did the work, but appears to not have completed the job. Needless to say, I will not be getting another appliance warranty if it goes through Sears Home Service. read more

Refrigerator is covered by a $1,000 Sears extended service contract. The compressor failed in May 2024. They wouldn't give an appointment until 3 weeks later. When the serviceman came he ordered parts. They finally arrived another 3 more weeks later. Then the repairman didn't show up today on the scheduled day and no call. I called them, reached a call center in India, and they had no explanation for the no-show but they can reschedule in another 3 weeks. That's three months with no refrigerator that is covered under a $1,000 service contract. At this point I believe that they want me to abandon the service contract and just replace the covered appliance. These people are scammers. read more

Initially the service was fantastic: setting up the initial repair appointment, selecting a time that would guarantee that parts would be available, using technology to determine the exact parts needed! 5 stars Day of the scheduled appointment: receive a phone call midway thru the day asking if the parts had arrived so please call 1-800-4MYHOME. Called the # and only had the option to either CANCEL or RESCHEDULE my apptmt. Found out on another call (within the hour of this rescheduling) that the parts had arrived the night before (written in the log so that the phone person could read it to me.) Weekend in between ... no dishwasher ... Day of RESCHEDULED apptmt: all went smoothly, repairman came and pleasantly did a great job (it seems after testing). HOWEVER, after his departure, I receive a phone call recording that stated I had an appointment for TOMORROW, January 29th (which is TODAY) and that I needed to confirm that apptmt and whether parts had been rec'd. ???????????????? The left hand isn't in sync with the right hand, and is even confused about the date. Fortunately the right hand came and did a nice repair job. Whew! read more

I have been waiting for 3 months to get my cooktop repaired. When Dave the repair guy came he was rude and knocked water all over the floor and didn't clean it up. He tour apart the old top and said he had the wrong part and left me with nothing for a month. When the parts came in he never showed up for the appointment and when I called the agent said that he said I had canceled the appointment.... wish I could give a negative star read more
