The absolute worse experience ever I purchased a Sears extended warranty on my washer, needed repair contacted Sears June 2020, service person came out ,washer needed a part, 3 weeks part not available, countless calls and promises multiple case numbers, promise of replacement washer . It is now January 30 2021 going on 7 months of " BS " and my 75 year old wife has to go to the laundry mat to wash our clothes. The old Sears of customer support and service is long gone. Sears person showed up and wanted to charge me 300 bucks to fix an air conditioning leak for an appliance I have a service contract on. He wouldn't do a thing until I agreed. He then proceeded to "repair" something that he couldn't prove was the issue. He had to cut plastic pipe to get to the leak. While installing new plastic pipe he spilled the Purple PVC Cleaner all over our tile flooring. When asked how do we clean this up he said "I dunno". So now I had to pay over $200.00 to fix something that was not broke and now I have another 200 to 300 to fix the tile flooring in the utility room. What was worse. HE NEVER APOLOGIZED FOR THE DAMAGE. He did not even care that he did it. My wife said didn't you know that stuff would damage the floor. His response "NO I DIDN'T KNOW THAT". read more

We had our bathroom remodeling done by Sears. Worst mistake of our life. First of all one elderly man came for 5 days for a little bathroom. Tub surround new sink and vanity. He installed an outlet and it wasn't even up to code. Next the faucet is leaking. He put the shower curtain up to low. Never again would we use or reccomend Sears. I made an appointment for an oven repair for today 10-2. I called at 2:45 to see if our repair would still happen. I was told they should be there at 3:19. At 4:10 I called again to see where the repair was. I was told they will be at my home at 4:29. Guess what?! Its 5:06 and no one is here, nor was there a phone call. If someone shows up we will see how the service is... if no one comes this is definitely the first and last time I use Sears appliance repair. read more

I called Sears Home Services because my washing machine was leaking. At the time of booking, the agent on the phone explained "that there would be a $99 service fee for the visit which is to diagnose the problem. If you decide to do the repair, this fee will be applied to the total cost of the repair. ". Once the technician showed it, he presented me with a bill where the service fee was added to the labor and parts, not deducted from the total bill. This is very misleading and the company seems to be playing with words to deceive. I have used Sears many times previously for appliance repair and I believe the fee was deducted in the past. If Sears is now adding the fee, they need to stop deceiving customers by stating that the fee will be applied to the total cost. They technician and work was fine. My problem is with the booking and billing. read more

I made an appt to get some Freon for my central air conditioner for July 30th at 820am Sears Tech arrived two houses down from mine. I ran out to tell him he is at the wrong house just as I'm approaching the van he drives away. I chatted several times to customer service and voiced what happen just to hear, "don't worry the tech will be there". It is now 6pm, and no tech after I took a day off to get my AC serviced. Sears home improvement services is not what it use to be. How stupid of me part to allow them to manipulate my day to end up with no service. Stay away from Sears. Beware!!! Call any other HVAC vendor and stay away from sear. That explains why they continue to be in the red, due to the poor or no service to their loyal customers. read more

Called for repair on a leaking refrigerator and had to wait 2 weeks for first available appointment. Repairmen (there were two, one in training) were very nice but about two hours after they left I noticed a little water near the fridge and by the next morning there was a big puddle again. Called Sears to complain and was told that despite my concern that the water wpuld cause damage to my new floor, " a leaking ice maker is not an emergency" and the earliest appointment I could get was in 2 weeks. The repairmen had said it was not the icemaker but a clogged drainage valve so I don't know why the customer service rep was diagnosing the problem over the phone. I won't be renewing my contract with Sears. I recommend looking elsewhere for service read more

So, after filing a complaint with the better business bureau, these jokers tell the better business bureau that they have contacted me and that it is resolved and to close the complaint. Not one word was received from them, so I told the bbb not to close the complaint and have now contact consumer affairs, next I guess will have to be a lawyer. Sears appliance repair is the most incompetent organization I have ever come across. I bought a Kenmore refrigerator in September 2016 for approximately $3,000. It went on the blink July 26. I called Sears repair and it took them 5 days (5 days!!!) to get a technician out on July 31. The technician was incompetent and couldn't repair it. He said he needed a part which would take 2 days to arrive. I just called Sears to find out the status of the part and THEY tell me that it will take 7 to 10 business days for the part to arrive since they buy it from LG. So I have no refrigeration during the months of July and August on a refrigerator that is not even 2 years old. Tell everyone you know NEVER buy a Sears appliance. The company is the most incompetent I have ever come across. read more

DO NOT USE THEM!!! This was the worst service ever recieved, or should I say lack there of. I called to have my washing machine fixed. The earliest appointment was a week away. The technician who came realized I needed a new pump. They ordered the part and said they will be back in another week and set up an appointment. When the part arrived I called to tell them. I even called the morning of to confirm my appointment in which I was told the technician would be there. I called once the technician never arrived and they claimed the appointment wasnt confirmed and it would have to be rescheduled for another week. I explained I called not once, but twice to confirm and I need it done today or AT LEAST tomorrow. They refused. I wanted a refund since I had already paid for a service not rendered. They said they could try but I most likely wouldn't receive one. Now I'm out $300 (plus more for the laundromat) and do not have a working machine. Never again!!! read more

Needed a repair of the door on our LG fridge with French doors. One of the top hinges was broken causing the doors not to close properly. it took 5 visits over about 6 weeks until it was repaired, due to a series of mis-diagnoses and ordering of wrong parts. Would never use again. read more

Appointments were easy to schedule in a timely manner. You get emails/texts when technician is on their way so you don't have to stay home and wait. I love that feature. My repair ultimately required three visits but it was easy to get appointments quickly and the parts that were required were ordered and arrived within 48hrs. It all went about as smooth as it could go. I love my Kenmore appliances and I will use Sears Appliance Repair again unreservedly. read more

The name of this store should be called "Unfortunately Sears" because "Unfortunately" is the only word I've been hearing from them ever since I purchased a washer back in April. This is a Kenmore, water saver model that is absolutely horrible and has not worked properly since I purchased it. I've had the repair man at my house four times already for this machine and it still doesn't work and all I keep hearing is "unfortunately" this and "unfortunately" that. "Unfortunately, there can't be an exchange until a repair man has come out three times to try to fix it. The matter was supposed to be closed out because the machine is un-repairable, and I can't get an exchange until this has been done, but "unfortunately" the repair man didn't close out the case in his records so another repair man has to come out to do it. And "unfortunately" the last scheduled appointment, no one showed because it was never logged into the system and "unfortunately" we are going to have to schedule another appointment and "unfortunately" you have to take off another day even though you've taken off three already because of this. Then the manager from Customer Solutions tells me we will put it in our system to have someone contact you to schedule yet another appointment which they were suppose to do two weeks ago and I still have not heard from them. But "unfortunately" she can't guarantee that someone will contact me and "unfortunately" she can't guarantee that I won't hear the word "unfortunately" again. This has been the worst experience I have ever had from Sears, the incompetence and lack of concern for customer satisfaction is mind boggling. furnace nightmare continued I have a Master Protection Agreement with Sears that expires on 12/2017. The blower that is in my furnace has not been working since August 15, 2016. We called up Sears repair service on Monday, July 25th ORDER NUMBER 000970040076588 since the offices were closed on Sunday. I called Sears Home Services which originally they were going to schedule an appointment for the blower to be fixed on this coming Monday, August 22nd. Finally after carrying on like a madman, Sears scheduled Matt, the service technician to come out on Tuesday, August 16th. Apparently Matt is the only service technician for the northern part of Ocean County, NJ. My work order number for this scheduled appointment is 000970040077760. It turns out that when Sears hired a licensed contractor to install my furnace approximately 9 years ago, the contractor never installed it to code, but built it next to a 8"x 16" concrete piling that supports my house. On August 19th I called Sears Home Repair and spoke with Marvin, to find out if they had contacted a contractor to do the replacement of the blower, but I had no success. No one called. The next interesting thing that happened was I received in my email a confirmation that Sears was sending Matt, the service technician on August 25, 2016 between 8 AM and 1 PM (ORDER NUMBER 000970040077910) to repair my blower. So far it is August 25, 2016, 1:40 PM, 40 minutes PAST my 8am to 1pm window for ORDER NUMBER 000970040077910. This morning at 8:15 AM, I received a telephone call from number 732-684-5372, Matt, the service technician asking me if anyone has come to fix my furnace. The technician stated that he would ATTEMPT to repair the blower, he just needed to find another technician to accompany him to my house to fix the blower.. Well right now it is 4:29 PM, and Matt, the Sears service technician, has not shown up yet. I am very PISSED OFF at Sears right now. I called the service technician to find out if he is still coming, only to be threatened by Matt, stating that he would call the police on me, if I called him back again. So I decided to call Sears at 4:45PM this afternoon to report Matt and the first person I spoke with was Rayanne. I spoke with a very reputable HVAC company located in Toms River to see if they could replace my blower for my furnace. After giving them the model number of my furnace, they found out that my Sears Kenmore furnace model T8MPT, was introduced in 1988 was discontinued in 2005. They also told me that Sears DOES NOT have any parts available for this model furnace. I have taken 4 days off from work without pay to get this problem solved (lost approximately $1200.00 of pay) which of course I will never get back, so in essence I have DOUIBLE paid plus my $506.00 that I paid out in advance for a 3 year SERVICE AGREEMENT for this repair service THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED YET. In retrospect, I feel that after this incident that I should be reimbursed for the MASTER PROTECTION AGREEMENT of $506.00 and the discontinued furnace that Sears had underhandedly sold me in 2007 for $3475.00. Sears has proved to me that they are nothing more than a company of scams, unmorally selling to the general public, discontinued items as current items. They should be ashamed of themselves including the CEO of Sears, Edward Lampert for allowing this to happen. And because of the anguish and turmoil that Sears has put me and my family thru, I feel the world should boycott Sears all together, because the people that run and control Sears are nothing more than garbage. After this horrible incident that has gone on for almost 3 weeks, I am thinking of contacting my attorney for legal counseling pertaining to this matter. As a dedicated Sears's customer for many years, I feel that my needs for service were totally ignored AUGUST 29TH 2016 8 AM I received an email confirmation from Sears Home Service stating that my estimated arrival time is between 1PM and 2:30 PM this afternoon and that the technician will call me when they are on their way. It seems that Sears has 'BLACKLISTED" our telephone number. I spoke with Ben, the supervisor at the Sears Home Service Center who after telling him the situation switched me to the HVAC Department that handles all furnace/ac problems. I am scheduled for yet another service call on Saturday between 1PM and 7PM, which now changed to a window of 8AM to 5 PM with a "different" technician. Bought a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator in January of 2016. Has been an absolutely horrible, unacceptable experience. Of the 8 and a half months that I have owned it, I have not had a working refrigerator for 10 and a half weeks. The first time it blew out it took 2 to 3 weeks for the repair person to come to the house and he lied and did not even show up. The next day they sent someone and he had to order the part and then we could set up the next appointment after we received the part. That was another 2 and a half weeks. 3 weeks later the same thing happened and I am so frustrated with the whole process. Even corporate will not intervene. The expensive master protection plan is useless and I have paid out of pocket for the part ahead of time to be delivered to my home so it will be here tomorrow when the repair person arrives. It is not here a week after I ordered it and the tech is coming tomorrow am. The replacement refrigerator that it says you get from the master protection plan is 4 cubic feet. Hardly enough for a family of 5. I will never buy anything again from Sears and neither should you. read more
