HVAC stopped cooling at my rental property in Irvine, my management company hired a different company to check it out. They found that the compressor had seized, which they quoted me a price for it, but then, they also said I have to replace the fan (not broken) +$850, clean the coils +$350, replace the filters (they were changed 2 months ago) +$95. After a couple of days of not getting back to me, I texted him asking what he found out. I asked for a quote. He sent me a text of a paper showing my warranty had expired. I told him there was a discrepancy and sent him back a copy of my registered warranty of both my heating and air system filed 1 day after installation . On the 5th day of not getting a quote from the True North tech, he just asked what I wanted to do. So I called another HVAC service. They came out that day and fixed part of the problem that day, ordered a part honoring my manufacturers' warranty and installed it the next day. I just paid for labor.
