Ruth was great. We came over after it started raining and though she was by herself, she went out of her way to accommodate us. I have been here before and am so happy there is a cafe on the beach to grab some food and a drink. My only complaint is that chips and salsa aren't on the small plates menu. read more

My daughter and I were driving around, checking out the area and we stumbled across this neat cafe. Walked up and we were greeted right away by one of the bartenders, Ruth. She took our order, cheeseburger, side of fries, strawberry smoothie and a beer. Food was amazing and quickly prepared. Ruth was prompt and helpful. Good view but lame place. Didn't expect to have to wait in line and order with no wait service, very inconvenient when coming to a place on the beach with a beautiful view. While standing in line, I seen the next window call out for the names of the guests that food was done, I asked the gentleman what it was and it was what I was going to order, mahi-mahi salad. Ewwww, looked like a little frozen piece placed on top on horrible looking salad . My friend and I took a picture at the beach, which was very packed, and left with no order. Very disappointed. Brought some family members to the Seaside Cafe today to enjoy the beautiful weather. It was our first visit. The staff was so friendly and I felt very welcome, but I feel like we must have ordered all the wrong food. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was disappointing all around. The bun was twice the size of the very average, almost dry chicken. I typically love bacon-onion jam, but I found this one to be very weird. It didn't taste like bacon or onion, but more like a curry chutney, which might be fine but didn't go with the rest of the ingredients. The avocado was mashed, like guacamole, but without seasoning. The lettuce was limp. My guests ordered a black bean burger and a regular cheeseburger. While neither of them had specific complaints, they both said they would not order it again. All sandwiches came with an enormous portion of fries; more than we could possibly eat. I felt bad throwing away so much food. I will return to try other menu items, and I'll ask for a much smaller portion of fries. read more

This is a brand new place (opened three weeks ago, I think) but I hope they stick around. I ordered a mahi mahi sandwich with plantains. The fish was light and the veggies were fresh. They added a chutney that is sweet and outstanding. Loved the plantains too. My wife ordered the same plus we shared a plate of charred oysters, which had a savory topic with bacon. Great food wish a Central American twist. It's a self serve place with a great bar and george was an attentive bartender! Ruth Barco was very friendly and the kitchen staff are to commended for their hard work, service and presentation of such tasty fare. The casual tiki like restaurant afforded a nice ocean breeze and shade on a hot summer's day and just a few feet to the beach. You can also rent chairs and umbrellas for a reasonable price (half the cost of renting at Delray Beach without the crowds). Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quiet place on the beach with great food! read more

Beautiful spot and the food was good and portions generous. We were accidentally given and charged for an additional entree and it was taken care of with immediacy and kindness by the manager. The staff is happy and efficient and no tips are allowed since the staff are employed by Martin County. Lots of beach parking, close beach access, clean bathrooms. New exploration point in my journey. Seaside Cafe. I had a French Dip with fried Plantains, paired with a Sunrise City IPA from Sailfish Brewing Company. The French dip was delicious! Not some gigantic sandwich where you would find at other places. The roast beef was a what's considered "sandwich thickness". Sry, didn't get pics, running around since 8:30 this morning. Great casual spot on the water for breakfast or lunch! The price is very reasonable, food is pretty good and the views are amazing! Seaside Cafe is super family friendly.
