So many hat's. An older shop. It's been here looking at the carousel for as long as I can remember. The dust in the windows makes me wonder but that's an easy solution. They sell some nice hat's and purses. My wife keeps coming in here, looking around. I'm sure she'll buy something sooner or later. read more

I have found the perfect hat! Okay, hatS!!! Of the 30+ years I have visited Seaside, I have never visited Mostly Hats at the Carousel Building on Broadway. I am so glad that has changed!! What a delightful store, and not JUST for kids. Yes, they offer a HUGE selection of hats, gloves and accessories for children but I was very surprised to see what hats were offered for ladies and men my age. (Let's just say over 50 and leave it at that!). There is a great variety of 'Outback' hats, sport caps, cowboy hats, fedoras, Steam Punk varieties, vintage styled, felt, leather, wide brimmed, sun reducing, cloth and woven. AND they have gloves, scarves and purses. Which came in very handy as Spring Break of 2023 started with tons of snow! (Go figure, it's late March at the Oregon Coast) So I arrived at the beach with no head protection other than the one attached to my rain coat. Which at best looked goofy and had absolutely no hint of style. And I can't have that! After a few helpful hints from their friendly staff I chose two hats. One for fun and one for practicality. The practical, woven beach hat is the one in the photo. Stylish, wide brimmed for sun (and rain) protection and reasonably priced. Plus, I look like a million bucks in it! So needless to say, my first trip to Mostly Hats will not be my last. Great customer interaction, huge variety, fun for kids, up to date styles, great selections and sizes and friendly service. I am so glad I had something to cover my lovely noggin, keep me dry and look great doing it! read more

Pretty much the perfect place in Seaside to take your kids assuming you can lure them away from all the candy shops. They have a bin up front with inexpensive theme hats for kids. Everything from plastic Viking helmets to turkey heads, sailor caps and crazy hair pieces. Such a fun place for my kids to spend their allowance. The staff was very friendly and not at all uptight about trying on hats and taking photos. All of our purchases were in the $5 - 10 range. They do have hats for adults and some things that fall under the fashion category, but that's not really their strong suit. It is all about the comedy. read more

I love hats!! I came by this hat shop while perusing the shops in the Carousel Mall and it immediately caught my attention. The shop has an eclectic collection of hats from the insane and wacky to the useful and cool ones. You can try on any of their hats and even take pictures while wearing them. The person behind the counter doesn't frown upon the behavior. I tried on a Viking one with horns. Nah... don't think that would go too well with my outfit. Tried on a yellow happy poop emoticon hat. Cute but I doubt that would bode too well at work. I tried on several cute animal beanies with protruding ears. I was tempted. It would be cute to wear at the ski resort. My BF ended up buying me this very cute tan knitted-style hat. Such a sweetheart!! Their prices are quite reasonable too. Come by for a visit and check them out! You won't be disappointed! read more

Mostly Hats is a hoot! Regular hats for all occasions along with strange and crazy hats. From fedoras to beanies to garden straw hats to funny animals, police and plain nutty. They encourage you to try on hats and look at everything. Prices are reasonable. They range from about $10 to $20. Located next to the carousel in the mall. read more

I usually always seem to find a cute hat here. Yes, they do have a lot of crazy wild hats you can try on and take pictures with but they also have a good variety of fedoras, newsboy caps, etc. I usually always find at least one hat that I can't help but buy. And you really can't beat their prices - usually $10-$20. read more

Such a fun little store in the Carousel Mall! My mom and I popped in here after lunch to see what it was all about. Found all kinds of fun hats to try on. They allow you to take pictures so long as you post them to their Facebook page. Fun way to kill some time! They also have walls of adorable handbags and wallets to choose from. read more

Great shop!!! Hats for children and adults. I went in to the shop to just look at the fedoras. I ended up purchasing a hat they call a duckbill . Very nice selection. I will definitely stop by again when I return to town. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful. read more

This could be a personal thing but I'm just not that into hats. Maybe that's why I didn't really care for this shop. It was super small. I was able to walk through the entire shop in less than two minutes. Their hats weren't that cool and they were super expensive. I was greeted and thanked while entering and leaving though so customer service was up to par. read more

Crazy hats for not so crazy prices, but I feel they could amp up the quality a bit. The mustard was coming off our hot dog hat minutes after we bought it and some my kids liked were already falling apart. Guess that's the downside to having them out for people to try. Definitely a fun little shop to visit though. read more

Stopped in here to get a hat for my daughter. Was surprised at how many different hat styles they are able to fit in there. Even more impressive than the selection was the prices. After shopping in overpriced hat shops in Boston, Portland or any large mall, it was refreshing to find the perfect hat that looked great for under $20. There were more expensive hats, less expensive hats, but all were reasonably priced...some on clearance down to $1! The staff was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and downright funny. Great shop to visit if you're in Seaside. read more

Nice place, the guy behind the counter was very knowledgeable, and would offer advice when needed, but never too much like some places do. I went in looking for a cowboy hat, and I ended up walking out with a "crushable felt" cowboy style hat. It's not anything that my grandpa would have worn, but it looks fine and it keeps the oregon rain off my head. The price seemed good for the hat I got. read more

Shorelines NW manages to be a touristy shop while providing a much better customer experience. The store is very large and well lit, the aisles are wide so you can wander and linger without feeling like you are stuck in an elevator with tons of people. Items are organized so if you aren't interested in children's toys you don't even have to walk to that area of the store. Interested in shells? Against the side wall are bins filled with shells of various shapes, types and colors. There is plenty of room to take it all in and make your selections. My grandmother always collected small shells and made jewelry with them so I spent a lot of time in this area and was happy to have the section all to myself! Of course they have the obligatory tie-dye which somehow has become synonymous with the beach, but their offerings were a step above other tie dye sweatshirts I've seen. The light blue & white was particularly nice, subtle, not too in your face. Mermaids and the beach also go hand & hand and at Shoreline, there are Mermaids of every skin tone and hair color so little girls can see themselves. Well done! They have a nice selection of affordable fashion jewelry, some in sterling, and of course many feature shells, sand dollars, flip-flops and other beachy items. Even though I'm not a tourist, I enjoy walking through the shop and looking at all of the offerings, often making a purchase.

If a local veterinarian refers someone to pick up a spay and neuter certificate they are obviously going to know the person is a Clatsop County resident. Enough with the attitude!
