    Prawns & Chips and rockfish
    Julie E.

Made fresh and very generous portions. Patio is dog friendly. I personally don't love the heavy more beer batter style. Felt overly greasy. Always compare any fish and chips to bowpicker. This was solid but not for me.

You can watch the bar pilots head out to navigate the ships to the Pacific. It was my birthday and somehow we got one of these special tables. Service was perfect. I didn't get anyone's name, but when we put my name in and came back at our call time, we walked in and the woman, walking through the restaurant, said, "Hey, Mindy." A nice touch. Our server was also just right. I got the Negroni melone because I'm a sucker for Negronis. It was decent, though it would have been much better with a gentleman's cube. The hubs got a blood orange cocktail that was really yummy. We started with the ricotta and preserved tomato crostini, which was excellent! Hubs ordered the sablefish and I ordered the ravioli with chard. Both were fantastic! The sablefish was exactly, perfectly cooked. It had skin on, but easy to eat without if you're not into that. Ah, so good! The ravioli was so delish! The only thing missing was a sip of limoncello at the end of the meal, which you'd receive in Italy, but otherwise deliziosa!

We were seated at a window table, which was great. We ordered a couple drinks and a couple appetizers. The crab dip and calamari were amazing. Probably the best crab dip I've ever had. For main courses, I ordered the seared scallops and added prawns to the dish as well as a side of their chowder. So good. Melt in your mouth scallops. The chowder was some of the best I've had. My wife ordered pasta Alfredo with shrimp. She said it was amazing as well. And my daughter ordered the Boullabaisse. I've never heard of it but it's a seafood bowl that is delicious and has many seafoods inside.. almost like a soup. She loved it. Dessert was a chocolate torte and a cheesecake slice. Again, amazing. This is a must go to restaurant if you want upscale in Astoria, Oregon. It is well worth the price. And you cannot beat the atmosphere and service. It is exceptional.

I had the clams and mussels chowder and halibut cakes that weren't bad but the highlights were the crab dip with the French / Sourdough bread and the Huckleberry Lemonade . We were surprised that we couldn't find more seafood restaurants for being on the coast.
