Well, recent visit shows they switched to earth friendly paper containers from styro - awesome! As promised, bonus GREEN star! Good as it gets, woo hoo. Original review follows. ======== Like many sole proprietor restaurants on the peninsula, the days of operation vary with the season or events (clam digs, winter, etc). For me if I see their pickup truck on the Pacific Highway with the big red TUTUS LUNCH WAGON parked there, they're open, its time for Hawaiian BBQ. Kinda like 'hawaiian time' in Hawaii! Portions on the 'medium side' - big enough for a lunch. Very tasty kalua pork, mac salad, teriyaki chicken....thats all i've tried and I think its spot on. About $9/plate, and I always throw in the extra buck for a tip. Super friendly and pretty quick too. I'd give them 5 stars if they didnt use styrofoam containers for everything - lets go GREEN TuTu and get 5 stars! :) Eco-friendly containers are not that much more expensive. Mahalo!

Stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Got chicken dishes and found them to be really tasty. Hubby liked the pineapple in the stir fry and really liked it in the slaw. Mac salad was yummy as well. Portion size was large. Can't wait to try more from this place!

Love the food. Portions are large enough to generously feed 2 people. We always stop when we're in Ocean Park.

The positives - the ingredients are fresh! No doubt. Very impressed with the freshness. The two items we had - Pulled Pork Pineapple Fried Rice and The Shannon ('Italian Grinder') - tasted great. But The Shannon could have used more veggies, especially lettuce. It was mostly meat - which I would never complain about - but the sandwich was for my wife, and as an Italian Grinder enthusiast, she was expecting more veggies. But I'm thinking the price is prohibitive. Those two items alone were $35 and some change! Nothing to go with The Shannon - just a 7 or 8 inch sandwich. It was really good, but the pricing seems steep. I don't know how much either item was - they were both specials. But let's assume they were each $13.75. I don't know if we'll be stopping by on a regular basis if I'm dropping $36 (plus tip) for 2 items. I suspect some people will say that the Pulled Pork Pineapple Fried Rice is really two servings. Maybe 1.5. For takeout, $36 (plus tip) still feels steep. We did like the electronic beeper/vibrating devices so we didn't have to wait out in the wind.

We went to the mini Octoberfest that North Jetty was throwing and ordered the Special Sausage that was created for this event. Wow, this was over $12 for a sausage with No Bun, and Dry. Placed on top of the fries which became soggy. Although the sausage had good flavor, we all agreed the beer was needed to wash it down. I recommend sticking with the Burgers.

She calls it chop suey......I just call it incredible! Ok.....so you already know I'm a total fan of this place. I've been hanging nearby to get some work done, so I've made her food a bit of a study. I've had a couple distinct varieties of island BBQ......one kind is just about volume, and it can be pretty basic family food with some interesting tastes. The Queen is different. She paints with her island ingredients in her food! She exemplifies island food that seeks to capture the heart and feeling behind this food. She loves what she does, and you'll eat the product of that.......its just a happy vibe. The coconut noodles?......so creamy and rich! It complimented some of the freshest and juiciest chicken ever. There was that incredible coconut flavor, nuanced with a gingery teriyaki and BBQ char......and lest your mouth get too much savory, she added fresh blueberries and mango on the side to sprinkle some brightness. Oh. My. Gawd!! I ordered too much food......because I love the leftovers later. But I'm not ashamed to say I ate all of this so greedily. I challenge anyone not to! It was amazing. As a side note: my dog bowl addition.......it has spam. If you've had it, you know it can be potently salty......but I figured not from the Queen, so I stole one to sample! If you've been raised around that particular canned meat, you know there are ways of soaking it juuuust right that will neither make it bland and squishy, nor too salty and unidentifiable as ham.......the Queen knows this art. I normally won't take just any spam musubi......,because the spam is so rarely "just right"......but that is absolutely my next adventure. This is straight up GOOD FOOD!

Positives: -their prices were very good and reasonable. -you get a lot of food, great bang for your buck. It was much appreciated especially coming from California where everything still costs an arm and a leg. It's so bad in California that I would have to share with my wife when we go out to try and save money. Sure we can stay home, but we're on vacation and I want to give her a good time. In California I would have to decide between filling up my tank or going out to eat ‍ -we got the BBQ mix plate which had short ribs, teriyaki chicken, and bbq beef. Everything tasted great, I loved how the chicken wasn't too sweet. My wife loved the galbi, that's saying a lot because she's very picky with her galbi. It was just the right amount of savory and had just the right amount of fat. We also got the poke bowl, the fish wasn't too sweet very good and tasted fresh. -service was quick and friendly Ambiance: Note that this is a food truck though they gave a small covered area for rainy days and if you want to eat your food right away. It's on property at a Shell gas station with a convenience store and Growler Guys branch. There is enough strategic parking spots for quick pick up and go. The ambiance of this spot is that there is ample outdoor seating for those brave enough to handle the weather, with most of them covered for rain protection. The service was authentic Hawaiian Style customer service. It always starts off " Whoa, what part you from"... And the conversation could go on for hours without even talking about food. Owner is from Wahiawa (Island of Oahu), his cousin helping him cook is from Waiahole (Oahu) and the daughter of the owner was taking the orders up front. The first test of any Hawaiian Comfort Food eatery is the weight of the take out container. If you need two hands to carry the package, then your in for a treat. The BBQ mix plate was on-point. The Teri-Beef had the right amount of sweetness and juicyness making it a must try for any first timer trying Hawaiian comfort food or former Kamaaina, craving for Island grinds. When people travel along the Oregon Coast, Fish & Chips or seafood is always on top of the eating bucket list. However, you may want to add Tuimato's to that bucket list, for belly satisfaction and enjoying a little bit of Hawaiian Style hospitality.
