Four of us had a dinner reservation for a anniversary. It was fairly busy, and the server greeted us relatively quick. We submitted our order for appetizers and entrees within 10-15 min of being seated. The appetizers took around 30 minutes to arrive. The green chile fries were good but the flatbread pizza was bland. It took nearly another 25 minutes for the main course to come and 3 of the 4 plates of food were cold. The server came by to inquire how our food was and we uncomfortably mentioned the food was cold. She wanted to send it back but I've worked in food service in high school and I know better then that, besides, I was starving. The server said she would talk with a manager. He never did come by and talk with us or apologize. The server said she was authorized to give us a free appetizer. We felt bad for her, because ultimately it was the manager that should have talked with us, or managed the kitchen so food was not served cold. The free appetizer was an insult. Seasons Grill is OUTSTANDING!!! I readily admit that I am a steak snob. If I can make it better at home, then why on earth would I eat at your restaurant?!? That said, the steak I ordered was PERFECT!!! Additionally, a colleague order a pasta dish, which looked small. However, it was very fresh and filling and as a result, she was super happy too. The service was good too. Although the waitress was slammed, she was always calm when address us (never hurried) and was still attentive to our needs. I strongly recommend trying Seasons Grill. Durango is by far my favorite road trip to date. Granted I haven't been on a lot, but with many more to come I believe this one will continue to stand out amongst them. We decided to do a progressive dinner of sorts. What really ended up happening was HH at one place and dinner and dessert at Seasons Grill. At first glance we were a little worried it wasn't super busy, after some time went by the place started filling up and our concerns disappeared. We opted to sit at the bar, and enjoy conversation with our excellent bartender while choosing our menu for the evening. To start we had the Hoisin BBQ Pork Ribs with a spicy slaw. Beautifully plated appetizer with plenty of ribs. Perfect to share. Don't be afraid to get messy, I'm a firm believer that the messier the dish the tastier it will be. The BF and I devoured each savory bite and licked our fingers clean. We decided to share their Scallop entrée served with fava beans, radish, smoked ham vinaigrette, and a biscuit on the side. You wouldn't necessarily think fava beans and radish with scallops but they totally work together. In fact the fava beans were a definite stand out. Scallops were cooked heavenly, nothing is better than a succulent scallop. Completely divine and the ham vinaigrette brought the flavors all together, savory, salty, and oh so elegant. We were planning on going on to a different destination for dessert but their homemade banana cream pie caught our eyes and our tongues and we just had to stay. Homemade buttery crust with fluffy and decadent banana cream topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. We scraped the plate clean, it looked like a plate out of the dishwasher it was so clean. I admit to becoming more and more of a pie woman. Maybe my next adventure in baking will be a banana cream pie. Did I mention the blackberry martini(s) I was drinking in between courses. Don't remember the official number for the evening but it was more than one. Refreshing, not too sweet, and deceivingly deadly. Our next trip to Durango, and yes there will be a next trip, Seasons will be on the list of places to return to. read more

Seasons is an upscale restaurant on Durango's Main St that serves a wide array of types of cuisine and an excellent selection of wine, beer and spirits. While I can say that the quality of the food here is excellent (as is the service), this place gets 3.5 stars from me rounded down to 3 because of small things that could be improved. Here is what I ate: -Carpaccio. The meat was excellent but the preparation was lacking. No lemon wedges, the arugula just piled on lacklusterly, and capers bombarded on the meat. But why wasn't there a dab of good quality olive oil? Just little things missing. -Kale/beet salad. The kale was perfect tasting as were the carrots and chopped beets; here, they overdid the dressing. Too sweet, and too much vinegar. -the trout was pretty good and nicely seared. Here the excess arugula although good got in the way of the protein which I now craved. Again, good quality, just bad execution. - for dessert, I had the Cree brûlée which tastes eh. Loved the heated sugar but the custard was too stiff. All in all, I'd come here again, but given the excellent fresh ingredients used here, why not perfect the presentation and use of ingredients? All in all, enjoyed my eating experience. Excellent staff and service a very fresh food. read more

My husband and I ate here for our 3rd anniversary dinner on our trip to Durango this last weekend. We made reservations and were seated immediately. The table next to us was a little close, but not a big deal. Our server was really nice, knowledgable and took a lot of time helping us pick out wines and bringing us wines to taste as well. She helped us pick out great wines, we were both super pleased. We started with a cheese and salumi plate. I can't remember specifically what we got, but I know it was all cow cheeses because we aren't goat cheese people. The cheeses were delicious and the pancetta (the word "funky" was used in the description but was very delicious.) I had a Caesar salad which was crispy and yummy. For our entrees I had the filet and my husband had risotto with pancetta, and both were very good. But the real show stopper was the banana creme pie. Holy smokes... the waiter said that the regulars ask to be on a e-mailing list to be alerted when this pie becomes available and I can see why. It was the best pie (banana or otherwise) that I have ever had. I cannot stress enough the magical qualities of this pie. I was actually sad when we finished it because I know that I will not likely have it again for a very long time and it will make other pie seem unworthy. I have nothing bad to say. Service was extremely pleasant. They change their menu seasonally to keep it fresh and up to date. The vegetables were fresh and delicious. The bone in pork chop was tender, juicy, and very tasty. The calamari has a wonderful cream sauce and a smokey marinara sauce that set it apart from your average appetizer. The wine list is plentiful with great choices. I would give this 4.5 stars but they don't have 1/2 stars. read more

Strolling the streets of Durango, we stopped into Season's Grill to eat a late dinner. If you want an amazing dining experience, look no further. We started off the meal with bread and herbed olive oil - both were wonderful. I ordered one of their seasonal specials, the Oak Grilled Mexican White Shrimp. It was fantastic! The white shrimp was tender, and beautifully offset by the black color of the pasta. The rest of my family loved their food, which was just as exquisitely prepared as mine. We sat on the patio, which is behind the restaurant. The service was wonderful even though they were very busy. If you're in Durango, stop in at Seasons Grill and enjoy a meal so that I can live vicariously through you. read more

This place is LEGIT! This restaurant is consistently awesome, my family and I like to come here for some really great food in an upscale atmosphere. I recommend calling in for a reservation especially if you want to have dinner at peak hours, usually from 6-7:30. Our waiter LUKE was amazing! He was always on top of everything and was very good at suggesting appetizers, cheeses and wine when they didn't happen to have the exact thing we wanted (he found something similar for us). The calamari is always good and my mom loves the cheese plate appetizer CHEESEGASM!! (you can choose 3 or 5 different cheeses and it comes with toasted bread, fig and crackers). The chicken liver was okay but not our favorite. And don't get me started on the complimentary bread. SO DELICIOUS! I'm pretty picky about bread but this french bread is so soft on the inside I have to force myself to save room for the actual meal haha I ordered the giant meatball with pasta which was quite good. The meatball was not bad but I really liked the pasta and the mustard sauce and ESPECIALLY the red cabbage!! So good! =D The steaks here are always great, one comes with blue cheese on top which is a little strong but comes with a great spinach/bacon side, and another comes with truffle infused fries (^-^) I also like their chicken here because it is never dry and the mashed potatoes are great. We also had the fish too and the sauce on it was great! Everything was excellent. DESSERT! Tiramisu: so good! one of my favorites, nice creamy, chocolatey, espresso-y dessert. Creme Brulee: very good. Another favorite of mine, great vanilla creme with crunchy sugar on top. Apple Pie: Yum! nice cinnamon flavor and served a la mode. This was the best food we've had in a while. We also were struggling to find a place that was do friendly and this place has a few tables out front you can sit at with dogs. They also have a lovely patio out back. We really enjoyed the ribeye dip and chicken/mashed potato meals. We would definitely go back! I was in town for business and stopped at Seasons Restraunt and had probably the best pork chop I've ever eaten. The service was really great and the sauce with the pork chop was incredible. I also had the steamed mussels as an appetizer and the sauce was so good it could've been a featured soup. The beet salad was also excellent. I highly recommend this very special restaurant, I loved the atmosphere and it really was a great finish to a difficult day of business. read more

This was once a very good restaurant.... No more!! We went there today to celebrate a special lunch for Valentine's Day, however the lunch was anything but special. We both ordered the Caesar salad which was just ok, but the portions were tiny and there were exactly three croutons of little distinction plopped on top. I ordered the French Onion galette from the appetizer menu which was billed as doused with a touch of " beef jus" ; instead it was nearly drowned in a concoction of cornstarch with beef flavoring. The galette was soggy, quite small and overwhelmed with melted fontina. the crust was a sweet pastry crust topped with a tangle of too sweet onions. The dish tasted really more like an attempt at a dessert that sadly had failed. I ordered a cup of decaf coffee , while admittedly not most folks' preference, the brown water carried almost no flavor. My husband selected the lobster cakes which weee described as made with chunks of lobster,, but the only thing he could detect was breadcrumbs inundated with Old Bay seasoning! Apparently the lobster had left the building. On a positive e note, the water was cold and refreshed frequently ,though the other items were slow to arrive.. read more

One of the three best restaurants in downtown Durango. I would like to give it 4.5 stars, but it doesn't work that way. All of the food served to our party of four was very good and perfectly cooked. The food quality and execution is very good, the wine list is also very good. The only knock of a half point might come from a surprisingly limited menu. Having said that, it should be recognized that 1) certainly Seasons can cater to any appetite, and 2) we are all still dealing with the effects of the pandemic and most of the restaurants in this small town are short staffed. Seasons always serves quality food, with good service in an elegant setting. Well worth a visit. Just ask a local! read more

This place was amazing. The atmosphere is definitely semi formal, saw a lot of people wearing laid back clothing, but the waiters were well dressed and attentive. There were some long periods of not seeing the waiter, but he was really nice and got everything spot on. However, the food was worth be wait. I got the steak, the reason I came in the first place, and i wasn't disappointed. Cooked perfectly and it even came with French fries, which I wasn't expecting. Even my wife and kids' meals were excellent in all regards. (Pictures included) There wasn't one thing on any of their plates that wasn't delicious. Worth the money. Then we waited for 25 minutes at the table with my husband and child. Finally my husband went inside and asked if we had a waiter assigned to us, and they gave him the blank stare. He came back outside, waited some more. I picked up my small schnauzer (15 lbs) and put her on my lap. A waitress finally came out And gave me grief about not being able to have her on my lap. I have NEVER heard of this and I've been traveling with my dog for almost 13 years!!!! The waitress said she would be back to take our order and fill our waters. She then disappeared inside. After another 10 minutes of waiting and NOBODY coming out to us, we finally got up and left. This is possibly the worst customer service I have ever received at a restaurant. read more

It's clear that this staff aims to please. Last night, my husband and I had dinner here. The Mac n cheese appetizer was large and tasty. We split a Caesar salad with anchovy and were very please with it. He ordered the half chicken entree and loved it. Unfortunately, I ordered the Ono special, which was overcooked. It was explained that the Ono is prone to parasites and must be cooked through. Though we know, both from the internet and from experience eating Ono as sushi in Hawaii that this is untrue, the waitstaff and the chef worked to make it right by offering to replace my meal, to bring an additional appetizer ( I opted for olives which were lovely), and to hold my husband's meal so we could eat together ( we chose not, since he was already happily enjoying it). I asked for crab cakes, and could not have been more pleased with the result. There was more crab than filling, and they were moist and flavorful. Not every restaurant gets every meal right every time, but every member of The Seasons Grill was responsive in trying. I highly recommend! read more
