This is a very popular spot in Lone Pine with a very popular complaint-they run out of everything. We arrived on a weekday at 6:15, fairly busy, but we got one of the coveted booths with the view of Mt. Whitney. We had looked at the menu online and had an idea of what we wanted in advance, nope. Out of: the elk, all lamb, trout, and the filets- we ended up with two orders of top sirloin. I had mine with the mushrooms and my husband had his with the green peppercorn sauce- I guess you can still have the sauces even though the meat is gone. The steaks were ok, I definitely did not get what I wanted and probably wouldn't have stayed if I had known just how bad it would be. I did see others walk out, and people that ordered after me were not happy. There's a really easy way to fix this- daily paper menus with what you actually have. Maybe even update them as things run out. Just cross stuff out. Let the guests know up front. If I had known how limited it was, I wouldn't have ordered a drink and eaten the tasty bread roll. Service wasn't that great either- the person that brought the drinks was very friendly, but otherwise our waiter was pretty inattentive. I had the Bees Knees which I enjoyed, I ordered a glass of red to go with the steak, and that didn't show up till I was well into my meal. Weirdly, I would give this place another shot, but would order before even sitting down. That way when I am told that all I can get is a steak that I'm not that interested in, I'll go somewhere else. We stayed 1 night in Lone Pine to break up our drive to June Lake, and so glad we found seasons restaurant! The service was probably the best I've ever experienced, we were blown away. Everyone working was friendly and so efficient. The drinks were great, and the food was delicious! I ordered the Greek salad with chicken and was surprised how fresh it was. Hubby ordered the rib eye with mushroom sauce and it was cooked exactly as requested. Highly recommend this place! read more

Seasons is a fantastic restaurant in a small town. Clinton the bar Mgr was soooo good. He used to run a Mastros in LA and is so knowledgeable!! He is a foodie himself and knows his wines and cocktails! Lone Pine is lucky he moved his family there for the quality of life! My wife had the roasted chicken with vegetables and the seasoning on the chicken was one of the best we have ever had! I had the seared tuna and French onion soup. The soup was a little bland and could use a kick of au jus or a deeper stock flavor... hint I hope Clinton reads this to get the chef to tweet the French onion soup. Anyway what a treat . A Hidden Gem in Lone Pine! Seasons was such an unexpected and delightful dining experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile, and soon after seated in a cozy booth, we were served a steaming loaf of fresh bread with perfectly chilled butter cubes -- such a great start. I ordered the tomato, basil, and garlic pasta, and it was honestly the best pasta dish I've ever had at any restaurant -- and I'm over 65, so I've enjoyed quite a few meals in my time! My husband ordered the goat cheese pizza and Greek salad, both of which were outstanding. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Whenever we go through Lone Pine we always make a point of having, dinner at Seasons. Call and check if you don't have a reservation, we got in @ 6. The food is amazing and the service outstanding! Unfortunately we got there a few minutes too late to have the Elk medallions, but we had the rack of lamb and trout which came with a very generous salad, mashed potatoes and veggies. Wish I had had room for dessert! We have been going to Seasons for probably 10 years and have always had wonderful service from their very conscientious staff. Love the view of Mt. If I could rate -1 I would. Very disappointed with our recent experience as we dine here roughly once a year for the last 5 years. I specifically order the elk but no, they said not available, so I figure I'd order lamb, nope sold out. Trout? Nope not available. I ended up ordering the sirloin which was ok but not elk. He's creative and will likely make your drink the way you desire. He's also fun to talk with and, if you're lucky, you might meet some other cool folks there. Night 1, we met a couple from the Netherlands. Night 2, we met two California guys who were cycling through, on their way to Death Valley and Vegas. Such fun to talk with! Cucumber Strawberry Fizz for me, Old Fashioned for him. We weren't starving so we split the medallions of elk dinner just to say we'd eaten elk. Fantastic Find! My wife and I were in Lone Pine for a night in May, 2025. Service was incredible! Our two waiters were very attentive and friendly. I had the lamb and my wife the scampi. Both were delicious! They also had a Syrah by the glass, perfect pairing with the lamb. We met the chef in the kitchen and tried to persuade him to more to out town. 13 years ago this place was great and it still is today. Incredible sourdough bread served when you sit down. GREAT crust. I had the 8 oz Filet Mignon with Bordelsise sauce, mashed potato's and broccoli. The steak was excellent but so big I took 1/2 home and had it for breakfast. Finished the excellent mashed potatoes and broccoli. Great little salad served before the meal. I had to try their French onion soup and it was almost a meal by itself so I only had about 1/3 of the soup bc I knew what I had coming as an entree. Wonderful food and service. I'm gonna be back in Lone Pine two more days this week and I GUARANTEE you I'll be having the same dinner (minus the soup) both nights. Great place. Make a reservation just to be safe. read more

After a full day of hiking in the eastern Sierra, we stopped into Seasons. We did not have a reservation, but we were warmly welcomed and seated at the bar - which turned out to be the perfect spot. Clinton, the bartender, is very attentive to the diners, offering spot-on menu recommendations (shrimp pasta and flat iron steak were both excellent) and his knowledge of the local area added a great touch to our conversation. What a wonderful surprise! My wife and I had known of Lone Pine as a charming lonely outpost a generation and two ago. How surprised we were to be served a perfectly prepared salmon in French butter sauce which was actually better than we have ever had in London, Paris, Rome, Milano, New York or Chicago. My rack of lamb was the equal of what I have had in London, although the English were not quite as sophisticated with the rosemary etc flavoring. Come and enjoy! My friends and I decided on pre-Whitney hike grub at Seasons Restaurant here in Lone Pine. My childhood energy was largely powered by a diet of French fries ...so, French food before a hike makes sense, :D right? right... Our party of 5 got seated right away and service was nice and attentive. I appreciate that our water glasses were always full and our waiter made sure we were all satisfied with everything. I ordered the French Onion Soup $9, for my meal. I had a huge lunch, so I wasn't too hungry for anything else. Soup was flavorful, not too salty and extra cheesy -so good. Free parking lot next door at the attached motel. Definitely, Seasons Restaurant is a great place for nicer, dining atmosphere. I'd keep it in mind when in Lone Pine again. We have been patrons of Seasons for more years than I can count. Today I brought my kids from LA to enjoy the experience after our Thanksgiving. I'm sorry to be brutal, but the food quality was abysmal. First, the server told us they had NO filet mignon and NO elk. Half the beef menu is filet centric! They told us we can order a NY strip instead. What arrived was a 1/4" steak that was tough and tasteless. The potatoes tasted rancid. It broke my heart. I have been an a patron here for years- Never have I had a more terrible meal. I visit many outposts in Kernville, Fairview (McNalley's) and have had 2 to 3" filet's cooked for perfection. And you can't source you meat?!? I never been more embarrassed and disgusted. I truly hope you can sort your situation. I have loved Season's since I met your acquaintance. The options are very limited in Lone Pine but this one did NOT disappoint! Immediately greeted by a kind, accommodating host that had us seated instantly. Then another staff member got us drinks and bread and our server was with us asap! We had the kids pasta (the sauce is more stew like but so so good!), kids chicken, and the flank steak. Whenever there is a decision to be made that has an impact on flavor, you want the chef to go for it. Dinner at Seasons proved that the simplest of dishes with few ingredients pose the biggest threat to the chef. My steak was tender, well seasoned, and served at the temperature requested 3 Stars. The French Onion Soup was a huge fail...amateur hour. French onion soup, an incomparably delicious and heartwarming dish of carmelized onions, beef stock, toasted bread, and grated Comté cheese. Thats it! Broil the cheese on top and voila. French Onion Soup looks complicated, mostly in its presentation, but it's actually quite simple to make. There were too many things wrong with Season's version to list. Canned soup heated in a microwave would have been better. Seasons has the potential to be a culinary gem, in a small town littered with lifted trucks and double wides. Lone Pine living has become an inescapable marker of class; a province of fast food and canned domestic beers along the way to Mammoth. If you can not make it to Mammoth by dinner time, stop in for a steak, then leave. However, if you find yourself in Lone Pine during the cold months of winter thinking there is no better option than a hot crock of French Onion Soup overflowing with bread and cheese, keep driving. The closet by the restrooms substitutes as a bar. Pull up a barstool, mingle with the Real Housewives of Lone Pine, and evesdrop on the drama and scandals in this one horse town. Watch the ladies drink as they risk their dignity and cut each other down. read more

Third visit to Seasons Restaurant. The food quality, service and price is amazing. This is the best kept secret on 395.

Food was standard American fare. No really sure but my steak tasted decent but was probably frozen had that Costco vibe. Veggies were basic but at least not over cooked the mash potatoes were a bit skimpy and in that fancy swirl not sure but could have been instant mashed potatoes. The staff was friendly and observant although one of the bussers wore a lot of cologne and was a bit overwhelming. Ambiance is dated could be really cute with a little upgrade. Yes there is a bar in the hidden in middle of the restaurant maybe 6/7 stools packed with locals. I would recommend if you want a sit down dinner because there is not too much competition. If you're heading north on the weekend check out "still life cafe" food is above amazing and ambience can't be beat just call ahead they are typically open Saturday and Sunday for lunch and dinner. read more
