LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS!!! This is the worst tailor I've been to. She told me it would be $85 to hem my dress and take in the side. I made a last minute decision not to take in the side and she said (over the phone) she would refund me $50. When I saw the bad hem job she took her words back and only refunded me $20. I paid $65 for the worst hem job ever! The last picture is what she sent me home with. She also used orange thread instead of the same color thread she previously used.... Before I went to my now go-to tailor (see my review for La Moda, January 2020), I went here based on the reviews...everyone said she was great and reasonably priced. Plus she was close to my house. Unfortunately after my experience, I kinda wish I had made the effort to drive to the tailor I reviewed in City Heights years ago (Kim Do Dung). I had three pants for three different jobs: a hemming, a take in, and a let out. The pants I had taken in she did an ok job, but there were loose threads everywhere. I don't know about you but when I get something tailored, I don't expect to see stray threads that I should cut myself...but maybe that's just me being picky. The leather patch that was on these pants are gone; I'm not sure why because when I look at the take in job, I could see where the patch used to be and it shouldn't have been affected. But whatever, no one cares about brand names, right? The second pair of pants I was actually the most upset with, which was a hemming. The hem job was fine but there was a stain on the pants which I can't explain...that and she broke one of the belt loops. She fixed it on the spot, but how is the belt loop broken when it was supposed to be a hem job? That shouldn't have even been touched! And for the record, those pants were only a couple days old. Also that stain ended up becoming a permanent bleach mark when I put it in the wash. So now I have an expensive pair of pants that have a bleach stain on them. Third pair of pants was a let out, which was the best out of the three, but for some reason this one had damage on it, too. There was a hole on the leg, which I didn't notice until I got home, but luckily I was able to mend this myself. Btw, the hole on the leg wasn't even in the thigh area where it was tight but in the calf part that has a slight flair. Otherwise, she did an incredible job with the let out and I'd say it made up for the last two mediocre experiences. Oh, btw, all my pants were not ready on time. For two pants I had to wait until the end of the day to pick up as she didn't have them ready during her morning hours. As for the third pair of pants, I had to come in a few days later because she didn't have them ready on the day she said to pick them up. I was annoyed but my boyfriend was more irritated about it than I was. I am being extremely generous with my review as initially I was going to give this business 2 stars. However, I was happy with the let out and I figured that 2 stars wouldn't be fair. Anyway, I'm not impressed, sorry. read more

I 100% recommend coming to Seasons Tailor Shop, my husband who is not really fashion savvy actually took my advice and get his pants hemmed. For some reason he thought I was trying to have his pants turn into skinny jeans so the gals at Seasons Tailor Shop clarified things for him. For $40 Bryan got a pair of his jeans and three work pants hemmed! That's such a steal you'd pay way more if you go elsewhere, also they really get the job done in such a timely manner. They were hemmed within a day with no extra charge for getting them done that fast! Friendly service, affordable and excellent work, don't take my word for it experience it yourself. We used to live in the neighborhood and this shop was where I had all the patches sewn for our two Eagle Scouts (and that was a lot of patches!) - Trang always provided great and economical service. I went back last year and found that Lana has now taken over the business, and the quality, speed and competitive prices remain. I was glad I came back. I had tried to get some work done at a closer shop at the corner of Clairemont and Clairemont Mesa (Anny's Alterations), but the costs were much higher than I expected - I suspect they have a pretty steep rent there at that particular strip mall. Seasons Tailor Shop is highly recommended, worth the little bit of extra driving over to East Clairemont (not too far from the Balboa / Genesse area). read more

First off impressions matter and her place of business was well a mess and disorganized. She's very touchy she touches you alot whether you like it or not. Hard to understand her. Advance. Dont prepay and get everything in writting. I had to wait 3 weeks for a mother of the bride dress to even begin work. How dare this business is in business. And last my dress was not seen properly. There were holes. The hem was uneven. And the zipper would not zip up, it was too tight. If I had to try it on there I would have lost my temper on her. This work cost me a 100.00 dollars and the dress itself was 75.00. That's how much I lost. Her talent and abilities is not alturations or sewing. Her license should be taken away. This woman is ridiculous, unprofessional, and the BBB should take away her business license. By the end I just cried. read more

Only reason I'm posting is so that others don't have a poor experience if they choose to come here. Make sure you have everything in writing (date, time of pickup, and what you're having done). And also call ahead before coming to your pick up your item so that you know she'll be there. I was very disappointed. She told me when it would be ready and when I came a week later for pick up, she wasn't in the store. I waited an hour for her to return, and my garment hadn't even been touched. She would not compensate me at all for my wasted time or for not following through on the agreed pick up, so I chose to take my business elsewhere. It was very stressful as I'm in a wedding and had limited time. I'm disappointed that she didn't handle her lack of follow through professionally, as she did not apologize or recognize her mistake. It seems like an affordable place but Just be aware of these things if you choose to come here. read more

I had a hard time conveying what I was trying to say to her, she kinda waved me off like don't worry. So I am a professional in my trade and know I gotta trust them. Well, to my amazement, beyond perfect. Too perfect. With little effort. She didn't didn't even measure properly with measuring tape and stuff. I thought this was going to be a disaster. But a professional knows their methods. She came with a piece a string or something and did the job to the T! Don't question a professional and just let them do their job. Great job! I went to get a dress taken in at the waist, let out at the sleeves, and some elastic taken out of the sleeves, among other things. I went there a week or so later, and she only did about half the things I requested. I informed her the waist had not been taken in yet and left it to be fixed. When I returned, I was pressed for time and already slightly bothered I had to make another trip over, so I took it and left. She informed me I could try it on at home and come back if it was wrong. Well it was not taken in at the waist nearly enough. I made another trip over there to inform her, and she told me I'd have to pay another $25 to get it fixed. She said she works on it once for that price, and if I want her to work again, I'd have to pay again. I informed her that she didn't do what I requested, and she just repeated that she would need to be paid again. I have been going here for about a year to get my dress shirts made to fit my body shaped (thin athletic) because dress shirts in America are made for fat people... I now never look like a thin guy with baggy shirts. The family who owns this place is ALWAYS nice. Today I went in and needed it done in 2 days and he was like "you need it for an interview?" It usually takes about 5 days to get your alterations back but that is because Tran is in demand. I chose to write this review because I found this tailor shop here on Yelp. I had my suit taken in and a dress shirt customized because I've lost 15 lbs since last wearing the suit. She managed to do a killer job and got it done in only a few days. I was surprised at how quickly the measurement process was being my first trip to a tailor. It was pricier than I would have imagined, but so much less than buying a whole new suit and worth every penny because I felt super confident at the awards ceremony. I went to this place based on the reviews. I had a couple skirts I needed to have taken in by Friday (10/3). I dropped off my skirts on 10/1. She seemed to be a little uncomfortable saying yes but she said she could do it. I received a call on my ride home that they would stay open until 7pm for me since my skirts weren't done. I arrived at 6:45 pm to ask the status. She said another 30 minutes. I really hadn't budgeted time for this and wish she would have told me. She didn't finish until 7:40pm. I didn't even get a chance to look at the skirts since she was visibly in a rush to close. When I got home, the seams were puckered. Disappointed!
