    The farm

Fun place for families. A little frenetic but lots of activities for kids. The setting is the beautiful farm and it's easy to take strolls. Staff is all very kind, and of course there are the amazing Seasons'Yield baked goods, which are certainly the best around. They were also serving Tacos, but I couldn't deal with the line.

I love Seasons' Yield Farms events and most of their food. I went to a Pizza Day this past fall and loved the food, the atmosphere, and the aesthetics. The service too was great, even with busy crowds. I recently went to their pop-up at Haywood's and got the avocado toast and ham and cheese croissant. The avocado toast was very tart and lemony to the point where it was difficult to eat. I couldn't taste the avocado at all and most likely won't be ordering it again. The croissant was warm, flakey, and delicious, and a nice way to finish my breakfast. I look forward to going to more events and trying more of their food in the future.

This little shop is fantastic. From 8 AM into the afternoon, they offer delicious coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pastries, and snacks that feel both cozy and elevated. We had hot chocolate, tea, coffee, a pain au chocolat, and a butter croissant -- everything was warm, fresh, and absolutely perfect. It was so good that a few miles down the road, I seriously considered turning around to get more. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient, answering all of our questions without rushing us (there were enough staff working that there was no line). The atmosphere is clean, bright, and inviting -- the kind of place you want to linger in. Next time we're in Lexington, this will be a daily stop. Highly recommend.

I went ahead with that, and it was both redundant of classic ice cream sandwiches, but also delivered a highly pure dairy flavor typical of quality gelato. I got a Matcha to balance out the sweetness. While it looks a little foamy on top, it was a very strong, almost grass flavored beverage that was appropriate to the circumstance. Some premade grab and go food options may be decent, but did not appeal to my needs at that time.

To paraphrase the Beatles, there's nothing I can say that can't be said, but man do I love, love, love this place. Excellent whole bean offerings, roasted to perfection by expert roasters. Delicious hot and iced coffee and espresso drinks that simply can't be replicated anywhere nearby--including, sadly, in my home town of Staunton (hey, Trager Brothers! There's a huge opportunity for expansion in the Queen City!). And top all that off with sublime, informed, and incredibly friendly front of house staff. Yeah, it's a little hard to find, but anything worth having is worth looking for. And in this age of googling and Apple mapping and whatnot, there's no excuse for not availing yourself to the BEST coffee in central Virginia. Y'all who might have read some of my other reviews will know: I usually have a minor nit to pick with even my five stars. Not so with the Brothers Trager, fam. Enter their shop and be greeted by the heavenly aroma of roasting coffee, the whir of a burr grinder, the quiet scream of a steaming wand, the genuine smile and friendly greeting of the barista. Now, you tell me: how could you possibly find a quibble worth the scribble?

If you're looking for a big ole store or facility that screams coffee shop, you're looking wrong. It's in in the far end of a building off to your right when you follow the signs. (seriously the signs are key here). When you enter the main building, you're hit with the awesome aroma of coffee... just head to the end and walk in the door. It's a cool shop that Is totally worth visiting. If anything, it's b/c of the high quality coffee they offer. There really isn't much to do here other than pickup great coffee but I guess I can't think of what else you'd really need. :) Cheers! Food Taste: great coffee!
