Great local selection and friendly service. If you're visiting Pike's Place or are just in the area definitely stop in for a drink! Flights are affordable and a great way to try a diverse array of their many great offerings. Also I'm a sucker for a soft-pretzel so that's a major bonus where I'm concerned! read more

I'm not a cider guy, but my girlfriend ordered on and the blueberry cobbler cider was the best I have ever tried. I believe that the wheat beer was called a trapdoor or something like that, but it was top notch as well. The women behind the counter on the day that we went were very kind and willing to talk to a couple of goofballs from Texas. Thank you for an excellent experience! read more

Great place to grab a beer, only lost a star because there were no bar seats. Terrific beer selection. Upstairs is small and sparse. A few barrel tables with small metal/wood stools surrounding them. Nice to have floor to ceiling windows to look out on Western Ave. Nice wood plank bar with no rail and no foot rest. No stools of course either. Back bar is simply the beer menu and the taps. One TV above the stairwell. The downstairs (where the restrooms are also) is very different. More of the barrel tables but also a long communal table and a square high top tables. Several TVs and I imagine this is a great place to watch the Seahawks games. Unsure why all the bottles are stored the way they are downstairs, but it screams beer so that good. read more

Wait was 25 minutes at 2 o'clock on a Saturday. We had to fight for a table but got one in the lower portion of the bar. The music was a bit too loud for a Saturday afternoon and felt more like a Saturday evening club. Beer selection was good and hit the spot. Not sure how much the total was because after the long wait to order I just wanted to sit down. read more

Cool space but was not as impressed with their local beer selection compared to other similar themed establishments. Bartender wasn't knowledgable about dark beers as she claimed--better to say nothing than misinform--nor did she offer a taste despite it being slow. Maybe no samples due to the 3-beer tasting flight, which is a nice offering for most people. Downstairs area is nice with tables covered with local area maps that we found fun and very helpful. However, although early in the day, most were sticky and could have used a cleaning. read more

Walking around downtown Seattle or near Pike Place market and think, man I really could use a beer. This place is great! Take the elevator down from the market and you'll find Seattle Brew Co. As others have mentioned, this is not a brewery. However they have a fine selection of local brews on tap. Prices are average, but options are pretty good. Two small levels of seating and some pretzels for purchase. I definitely would recommend this place for a quick beer or a long nice chat and some beer. Can't wait to try it again. read more

This could be the perfect place in Seattle. Especially if you really like it so much that you are planning a return trip to Seattle within a few months just so you can come back. My friend and I may be picky or very particular on what fits our style and tastes. And Usually it's hard to find a place that meets all of the requirements. Especially a place that plays constant decent or excellent non live music. I don't know how many times you visit a place and they play the worst radio station music. I know cause I work in one of those places. We stumbled upon this place like many others seem to have done. And on our first visit we knew right away this was the place for us. You could say this place is simple, but for us it's just right. Those of you that can relate to the Friends episode where they come back from London and talk about the pub with the stellar beer... That is Seattle Beer Company with their Rooftop Blood Orange. To the person from Seattle Beer Company that reads this review... Let it be known that your choice of music is spot on. Really spot on. (From visits on Aug 3-6th) Please don't ever change it. Especially since were flying back in December to visit again. Oh, and we need that Rooftop Blood Orange to stay on the menu as well. People call Subway sandwich makers "sandwich artists", I will call the bartender "pint master". And the pint master that served us each day we were there was very cool. And it's pretty clear that if you need a connoisseur for your first time, that you will be pointed to the right pint. *cough* Rooftop Blood Orange. To all those guys that don't need to be pleased to hard. What am I saying? It doesn't take much to please any guy. Find yourself finding Seattle Beer Company. read more

I love the place! Located in the 2nd row behind the famous Pikes Place market you will find the Beer Company, having a great selection of very very good Craft beers ... You can have free tasters or a flight of multiple beers. Staff is very friendly and price ok. Athmosphere is great on basement and some outside seating is as well available! Will be back again!! read more

Cute little brewery down in the bottom of a street so it feels like you are going to a secret spot. You walk in and there are lots of tables and then you go up to the top and order your beer. Lots of selections, IPA's, fruity, stouts etc. I opted for the raspberry sour and it was perfect fuel for a lot of walking around the artsy area. I was pleased with the location and the service. They have bathrooms which require a code and good seating available. This is clearly a Seattle Seahawks viewing bar and I could imagine during football season it would be very busy. Not sure if they had food since most everyone ordered only beer so I can't say if the food was good. Price point - average for a brewery about $8 for my beer. read more

This place was very very quiet, and I'm not sure why. We went about 8pm on a Saturday in between appetizers and dinner. We shared one flight, which is 3 6oz pours of one of their 12 or so drought beers. All local options, and a really nice variety. We tried a nitro and another one I wasn't a fan of at all, and the third was AMAZING. Georgetown Brewing Co (Washington local) makes a Gusto Crema Coffee Ale that is pure magic! By far one of the best beers we have tried. The service was spot on, and they do offer a few snack trays to munch on while you taste. The music is louder downstairs but just about perfect if you sit upstairs, and they offer a big screen TV that had a local game on and a nice patio outside. It seems a bit hard to find, but we got to it by exciting the Pike Market down the stairs by fancy little local restaurant and heading across the street. We will be back for sure. read more

Fantastic place! Opened by the founder of Road Dog Brewery Tours (Dustin Boast) and featuring Seattle ONLY brews...14 Seattle beers and 2 ciders... Stopped by while wandering Seattle and Dustin was a gracious host. Knows his beers and great advice on what to do and see in Seattle. Great music (live music 4-7p Fri and Sat)... Road Dog Tours has been going for 5 years...Beer Co opened for 4 days! Break a leg!! read more

One of our favorite places in Denver is Denver Beer Co, so we were excited to try the Seattle version! The building has a very cool layout, two floors overlooking the water with a lot of windows and light. They play easy music (John Mayer and Jack Johnson while we were there) while you sip on some yummy brews. The beers themselves were really good! We loved sampling different ones and I wish I could have tried a few others. I only gave four stars because something about this place for me lacked character. It reminded me of an upscale chain- meticulously kept up, expensive and nice details, and an amazing location and building. While there is nothing wrong with this place, I didn't feel like I was drinking in a bar unique to Seattle, and wouldn't be surprised to see an identical one elsewhere. I do wonder if I had come at a busier time if the vibe here may have been different though, because during the week mid day it was really quiet, and a loud crowd could really change the atmosphere here, I'm sure. A great place to stop in for a brew if you're a beer drinker. While I didn't feel the need to have more than one or to come back for a second time during our trip I absolutely don't regret having come here and enjoying a good beer! read more

Awesome place downtown near Pike's Place Market. This multi-level bar/tasting room features 50+ Washington beers, a bunch of which are on tap. Stop in and order a flight to sample three beers from the menu and it'll only cost ya $8! The bar tender was really nice and helpful and the atmosphere of this place is pretty awesome....very laid back and chill. A definite must try if you're in Seattle. read more

Decided to stop in after walking and shopping at Pike Place Market where you can find Seattle Beer Co & all the local cold beers you never knew of on tap. There is a case of all sorts of local and not so local beer cans and bottles in a case just near the upstairs bar. Downstairs is spacious where we made friends from NY on the patio & tried our luck on a raffle that a beer event that was going on during the day on a Thursday! Had an awesome time and even got to watch some tv while we were gearing up to continue our Seattle exploration. A must stop for beer lovers. I would skip the flight and just commit to 2-3 good beers on tap on whatever the bartender suggests. He loves beer too and he works there. You can't go wrong with whatever he suggests! I had a delicious IPA, Hefe, and a sour beer that was well worth the fun stop at Seattle Beer Co. read more

Awesome little spot tucked away behind the market near the waterfront. Great selection of local beers. Also a nice change of pace from the bustle of Old Stove or all the tourists at Pike Place Brewing. They have a pretty rad TV setup downstairs too, so it would be a good place to watch the games. Definitely could see the place getting packed on the weekends, but it was perfect for happy hour with a few buddies. 4/5 during COVID: the service was nothing special, somewhat slow that day, and they only had one pottery/stout option. Otherwise, the space, ambience, crowd, layout, etc were all super cool. I'll be back there for sure. read more

This is a good place to go if you're looking for non-specific craft beer. As in, if you go to a brewery they will only have their own supply, whereas there's an assortment. Usually Seattle Beer Co. has a decent selection of ~12 beers and they also have wine, soda, and beers in cans/beer to-go in growlers. There's also plenty of merchandise if that's your thing. read more

I wanted to take a second to highlight the amazing customer service at the Seattle Beer Co. The lovely Australian man handling the taps this past Saturday went above and beyond for us. I, of course, have forgotten his name. Sorry! The boo and I were invited to Seattle for the nuptials of our close friends. We were asked to complete the best wedding errand ever. It included sampling local craft beers and purchasing 12 growlers for the wedding guests. The selection on tap here was perfect. A nice variety of infusions, IPAs, a drinkable pilsner, and a couple ciders. We ended up with 4 types for the wedding. All stellar. Our bud with the Aussie accent informed us that they only had 7 growlers readily available as he poured us some samples. He went down to their merchandise area and was able to find us the additional 5 we needed. We were very grateful because it's never a good idea to disappoint the bride and groom on their wedding day. Once the growlers were filled, we got word that our ride was still 30-45 mins away from us. We asked and he was able to store all our growlers in the tap coolers while we waited. He also provided us with some tape and a sharpie to label the different types of beer. He even gave us a couple small pours on the house to enjoy. As we're sipping our beer and waiting, he pops back up to offer us a couple boxes for transport. He had to unpack 12 empty growlers from their shipping boxes and line them on the shelf so that we could take the boxes. He was a great help overall. It was a wonderful experience. read more

They didn't have any food to purchase but they were making fresh popcorn available to munch and cleanse your palette for feee. They have TV's so you can watch the game and the day we were there there was a painting class going on that had the whole room packed. I love that this place is NA-friendly. They offer some light snacks and free pretzels, which is awesome for a brewery without a kitchen. There is a food truck on site, but it was closed when we visited. No worries, though, you can bring outside food, which is perfect since there are plenty of great restaurants in the area. I asked the bartender if they brew at this location, and he said they've moved all brewing to a different location in Seattle, but it's still super fresh and tasty beer all around. This is a spot worth visiting in Seattle or getting together with a large group for a few drinks. Plenty of choices for everyone!

Music is at a decent volume and is lit dimly making it decent for a date spot or just a place to have conversation without raised voices. Fridges line the tap room so you can mix and match beers, ciders and wines to take out which is cool. I like Bottleworks, I want to enjoy it more, but there are some issues holding me to 3 stars. The staff are...alright. Not bad, but I feel could be a little friendlier. Also they don't allow sample pours? This is a common thing at most breweries, but maybe it's because this is a tap room, but beers run a bit higher here - $8-9 a pour so that's annoying that you can't even try a couple. Lastly, they rotate things out it seems weekly. Some of the more popular options I suppose they keep but seems like a lot of turn around on the drinks so if you like something they have on tap, don't get too attached. It's smaller than I imagined it to be but every beer inside, from the draft list to the cans and the bottles are carefully curated by the staff. We grabbed a quick beer (Hill Farmstead, which is the first time I've seen this brewery for sale in the since I started this trip 6 weeks ago and Ive been through 4 states) Then we shopped for some cans, we quickly had to refrain from buying too much as the refrigerator in our van only holds so much. We ended up with a six pack and then grabbed a mystery 4 pack on the way out (mystery 4 pack was stellar). While we're shopping they opened a sour from Jester King and shared it with us. I honestly wish I lived a bit closer (Las Vegas is kinda far) because I'd be here everyday... Honestly, they have a whole cooler just for barley wine! The staff are very knowledgeable about beer and are very hospitable. Thanks for a great experience!

Since we had a larger group, we decided to order family-style so everyone could try a little bit of everything. We ordered the scallop crudo, oysters, 30-day dry-aged strip loin carpaccio, tartare, pan con tomate, patatas bravas, octopus al olivo, gnocchi con setas, rigatoni cacio e pepe, pan-roasted black cod, double ranch braised beef cheek, and tiramisu. The scallop crudo had a really nice Thai coconut flavor that I enjoyed, but the scallops themselves were quite small and I found myself wishing there was more of it. The oysters were a crowd-pleaser as always--fresh and delicious with no complaints there. The standout dish of the night was the 30-day dry-aged strip loin carpaccio. It was an absolute flavor bomb, and the presentation was unique, interactive, and fun. The tartare was decent, though I expected a bit more flavor. That said, the tableside preparation made it an enjoyable experience. I would probably pass on the pan con tomate next time. The tomatoes lacked depth of flavor and could have used a touch more salt. The patatas bravas were good--essentially one giant, crispy fry that was fun to share. The octopus was tender and flavorful, and definitely one of the stronger dishes. Both pasta dishes were good but not particularly memorable. The pan-roasted black cod paired nicely with the kimchi, and the braised beef cheek ended up being our table's favorite entrée. It was rich, tender, and packed with flavor. We finished with the tiramisu, which was a nice ending to the meal. Overall, La Loba is a cute special occasion or date night spot with a fun atmosphere and a few standout dishes. I'm happy I chose it for my birthday and enjoyed the experience, but I think I'd be more inclined to return if there were seasonal menu changes or rotating specials. For me, it's worth trying at least once, especially for the carpaccio and beef cheek.

This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area.
