Basic burger with side of "poutine".
    Lea S.

I tried the basic burger with poutine upgrade, and the black eyed mule. Burger was good, standard. Poutine was note poutine, more like fries with gravy (cheese was a combo of sprinkled and melted cheese, not curds). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mule cocktail was pretty good though felt a little light on the alcohol considering the price.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was okay but I would probably try one of the other restaurants next time I'm at Seattle Center.

    Blackened Salmon Sammy with fries

A rainy Saturday landed me in the Seattle Center Armory and the Skillet Counter around lunchtime. Ordered a blackened salmon sammy and a basic burger, both were delicious. Food was a bit expensive, but I guess it's the Seattle Center. They recently switched owners, so hopefully they keep up the good food.

I've been to the Skillet Capitol Hill location several times, but this was my first time trying the Seattle Center location (located in the Armory food center). My coworkers and I stopped by here for a quick dinner before attending a Storm Game at the nearby Climate Pledge Arena. I ordered the COBB SALAD. My companions ordered the Good Burger and the Caesar Salad. The COBB SALAD was gigantic! It had lots of fresh avocado, grilled chicken breast, creamy blue cheese, and ripe tomatoes with a wonderful honey mustard like dressing. I couldn't finish it all as it was definitely large enough to feed two people. My colleagues enjoyed the Good Burger, remarking at how amazing their bacon jam is. The Caesar salad was just as big as the Cobb salad, but had less variety of vegetables and was served on a bed of kale. Service was excellent and the cashier was very friendly. They had our food ready within 15 minutes after ordering and we had no problem finding a table to sit at. Note that water, napkins, and utensils are all self-serve. The ambiance is super casual as it's part of the food court, but Skillet has its own private section of tables and seats too as they serve alcoholic drinks which can't be taken beyond a certain point. Overall: 4/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3.5/5 for atmosphere.

Other than the price this is one of my favorite places to get a chicken sandwich. I also like the poutine fries. The chicken sandwich is cooked really well and the spiciness is really good. Love the fries.

This place at the Seattle center was pretty good. I had the chicken Sammy which is a sandwich and it came with fries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also got a Pepsi zero sugar and like most places it's cashless.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sandwich was very good I really enjoyed it and the fries were a tad heavy on the salt but they were very good. If you're coming to Seattle Center swing by and try it out.

Oh man!!! My grilled cheese was one of the best grilled cheese I have ever had in my entire life! Junk thing is... you order using the app even if you're at the tables, AND they do card. NO CASH! So I didn't know how to leave a tip in cash for them. It didn't really ask for a tip on the app. But this was EXPENSIVE!! I thought we was going to eat someplace cheap... SURE... but the burgers my son and husband bought seems cheap. However, adding the fries was the problem! It was like us paying $20 for a burger and fries. But their lemon water was really good. They have a condiment station you could get water and condiments for free. Otherwise, I was tired of burgers & fries. I wanted food. Like omelets, or plate lunches. There is nothing like that. Which is why I stick with the grilled cheese. It was delicious' BRING EXTRA SPENDING MONEY even if you come to eat or look around. Things are kinda pricey here. Great, it is a tourist sight, so WHY NOT charge the extra for these visitors, right?! Anywho, take a look at the menu before you order.

Incredibly friendly front of the restaurant service! The main host was a nice gentleman with a thick New England accent (unfortunately didn't catch his name!) and he was so friendly and welcoming to us and all the other restaurant patrons! Even though all we ordered was a kale salad and some fries they hit the spot after walking around town and going up the space needle! The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the food was made fresh in front of us (open concept kitchen!).

22 minutes in and still waited another 15 minutes to receive wrong sandwich and no refund

Waited over 30 minutes for my sandwich and it wasn't ready yet. Went to the bathroom and when I got back, dude at register said he gave my sandwich to someone else because he had been calling my name "10 minutes". Then tried to give me a completely wrong order and passing it off if it was my order. I tell him I want a refund. And he walks away and says I'll be a refund but he has to the his manager. I had my never given a receipt of anything. Then tries to tell me I should order something else. So I can wait another 30 mins? Dude behind the cash register should have caught some hands for trying to call me rude by acting the way he did. Food and service deserve zero stars and a slap over the head for trying to act up.

Food: Attractive and delicious. Service: Top notch! Friendly and efficient. Ambiance: It's in a food court. The food court area is okay, but the area that belongs to this establishment is clean and easy to maneuver around.

I've emailed this location's contact information and the main contact as well as writing to them on toast (app I ordered from) and I've yet to hear back so now I'm writing a review about the disgusting food they gave us. Exactly a month ago I ordered the Lil Nuggs and Mac & cheese for my kid while playing downstairs in the children's playground, I figured I would grab us lunch there and go back to playing after we were done eating. Their website shows Dino nuggets and the Mac & cheese is breaded, not at all what we got. No Dino shaped nuggets, they were the ugly chunks that you cut off the chicken breast to throw away but instead they were given to us. So many chunks were just the fried over seasoned breading with no chicken. The Mac & cheese was bland as fuck, no salt, no seasoning, no breading and looked nothing like the photo. Even the fries were trash. We were downstairs and my kid by that point was having a meltdown because she was hungry and hated the food. We end the day early because we were both starving and overwhelmed, didn't go back upstairs to complain because my kid was crying and screaming. I emailed later that day because even my husband refused to eat the food. So if you're a parent enjoying your day playing in the children's museum and think, "oh hey let me order nuggets for my kid's lunch at Skillet.", DON'T!!! Your day will be cut short and ruined by the trash they serve you and waste your money on the food and the day pass you bought because your kid now wants to go home for food.

As a nice surprise, he even treated us to complimentary turon, which was such a thoughtful gesture and a perfect way to end the meal. It's little moments like that that make a restaurant stand out. Great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere make Ludi's an easy recommendation for anyone visiting downtown Seattle. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

The ube pancakes lived up to the hype! not too sweet, perfect texture, and a flavor that was so perfect. The combo plate was amazing and I could eat a ton of their lumpia. Ambiance is homey and comfy, with photos all over the walls and a lively atmosphere. The owner himself came to chat with us about the food. We saw him walking around and being present with plenty of customers and that added a very special touch. he even gave us a magnet souvenir to take home. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!
